  • Our third camping season with the Lance 2075 is in the books. It was another memorable year with some exciting destinations and a few "not so hot" camping experiences. It's all here in our latest season recap.

Another great video. A winter camp video would be awesome to see.

@boonelipsey5393 Thanks Boone! yes, we definitely want to get out in the snow this year. Even though we've camped in the 20's before, I'm anxious to take her out in truly wintery conditions. Will be fun and if we do, you can expect a video! 😁

@@IdahoVoyager I will be sleeping in mine tonight. People think I am a little off for sleeping in it about every six weeks. When May comes around fand I head out for my first outing. Everything is in working order. And we use the fridge for overflow on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Works great.

Hey Idaho Voyager. I have a Lance 2075. The Truma Combi manual calls for descaling the hot water tank with citric acid every 6 months. Please answer the following questions: How many cups of powdered citric acid per gallon? If I use the antifreeze uptake hose under the refrigerator in a 5 gallon container, which hot water valve would I open to be sure the 2.5 gallon tank was filled with the citric acid mixture? How long to let it sit in the tank before flushing? Would you please answer these questions before making a video on the subject??

@jamiebrown2576 Hi Jamie, this is one maintenance item I have not yet completed so curious to learn more about it like yourself. I’ll keep an eye out on the FB group.

@@IdahoVoyager Thank you for the reply. I have searched the Truma website extensively and find only the decalcifying instructions on page 17 of the Truma Eco Plus (my unit). These instructions are inadequate for proper decalcifying in my opinion. I did talk to a Truma USA customer service rep yesterday on the phone. He seemed not well informed about the process and promised to get back to me after he talked with the techs. Today he wrote: "To decalcify your Combi (same as a coffee maker), use a 20% acid solution. This is 2 tablespoons of citric acid powder to one quart of water. I would assume this would work just as well on the Combi tank. However, one of my Techs indicated that you should NOT run it. Just let it soak in the tank with cold water for a while - 20-30 minutes. Then rinse thoroughly." My intention is to use the winterization uptake hose (under the refrigerator in the 2075) in a 5 gallon water cannister filled with the citric acid mixture. Then turn on one of the hot water faucets, or maybe the Truma pressure relief drain valve and run the pump until approximately 4 gallons of the solution have been used. Seems like the Truma 2.5 gallon tank would definitely be filled at that point. Then I turn the pump off and let it soak as he says before rinsing. Any ideas/suggestions you might have would be appreciated.
