ABOUT THIS VIDEO:
Liam Gallagher on vocals. Recorded in September 1993 at Loco Studios, Newport. Released on tape by NME. Liam Gallagher's voice at today's live concerts does not sound anything like his powerful and unique voice during the years 1992-1999. After many years of destroying his voice due to his damaging singing technique, somewhere around 2003 Liam started to sound like Kermit the frog during live concerts. Fortunately, he is now at least sounding good in the studio again. But unfortunately, we will never get Liam's old live voice back, unless he hires an expensive specialist and performs vocal chord surgery (if possible). The only thing we can do is enjoy past live and studio recordings of Liam's once great voice. This is one of my favorites.
This is also Andy Bell's favourite version of Live Forever. He talks about it on the Definitely Maybe DVD. This demo version of Live Forever begins with an acoustic guitar intro. While recording the album version, the record's producer Owen Morris cut out this intro and replaced it with a drumbeat played by Tony McCarroll. Morris further cut a second section in Gallagher's guitar solo. Although Gallagher was upset, Morris felt the part had sounded "a bit like fucking Slash from Guns N' Roses".

As corny as it seems as an adult, as a teen I listened to this repeatedly and sang it at the top of my lungs as I lay in a hospital bed fighting off what I was told was a terminal disease... 18 years later and counting and I still think I scared the fucking thing out of my body....
Be Here Now as an album helped me survive time in the hospital too. Not kidding.

Strangely enough, being used to the album version, it almost changes the whole song when Liam sings "how your garden grows" in another way. Absolutely loved it.

I’m so happy there’s a newer, younger generation of oasis fans still out there. I grew up with my older brothers listening to oasis and stone roses, it brings me back to the 90s and what felt like the greatest period for music. No matter how many phases and stages I go through I’ll always come to this. As you were.
I was born in 06 and was raised tech free, and is still remember playing what's the story morning glory on repeat on my CD man, blasting through my father's speakers
@@m.bosman6477 What’s the story is such a brilliant and timeless album, I first listened to the Masterplan album. It was a compilation of B sides I borrowed from my brother. Songs like Rocking chair and Fade Away would be hits for any other band.

If someone asks me why I think Oasis are the greatest band ever and why Liam has the best voice of all time, I’ll show them this video. If they don’t understand after it, there is no point trying to explain.
best band of the 90s by far, their peak reminds me of the rolling stones from 69-73 absolutely wonderful albums and live performances that were impossible to match so the following albums aren’t as good

Yeah but Noel had his share of cigarettes, alcohol, and drugs but his voice isn't very damaged.
There's a lot of reasons his voice has died, yeah. The cigarettes, alcohol, drugs are obviously a problem, it's also worth noting that the way Liam stands and his improper singing technique is very unhealthy for his throat, on top of the fact that he used to sing RIDICULOUSLY loud.
Well his fair share of cigarettes alcohol and drugs, didnt do him any favour. Add to that the 20 odd years of constantly singing and screaming to sound louder than those guitars. Also as mentioned above his improper singing technique and posture. But in reality if it werent for those things, we wouldn't have had his amazing spirit

Sometimes you have to change the phrasing slightly to get the best out of your voice, and in this case it sounds a lot like a scouser. It might be something he picked up from listening to the Beatles also

This recording is everything as to why I rate Liam Gallagher one of the best vocalists of all time. His voice from 92-95 was impeccable. Nothing lasts forever, and we're just blessed to hear it, what a talent this kid had. Let's remember him for the talent that he was, and ignore any shenanigans.

thebandcoca There were always underlying problems. It would be good to see them live, but they've already done what they needed to do. They've got a legacy to hold onto and they are still keeping music alive even when they aren't together. Music is dying, but Oasis will keep the ember burning.
