    Ive seen a really cool explanation from Pastor Rodrigo Silva:
    Imagine an indigenous tribe in south america 1800 years ago believed in the sun as a god.
    Now, obviously the people living in that tribe doesn't believe in out God, and doesn't have knowledge of His teachings
    BUT, in the means of that tribe, at least some of the word of the Lord will spread! Lets say an child living there will learn to love eachother, to share, to take care, to have compassion, to respect nature, and maybe even learns that somewhere out there, something bigger then themselves is caring for them, those are all shared beliefs between both religions
    So, lets say that this indigenous child, via the teachings of it's religion, has grasped about 10% of the Lord's word
    If the child follows with it's heart and passion those 10%, why would God negate them Heaven?
    Thats how i like to see it 😄

    I think if someone has never been exposed to the gospel, yes, it is unfair. Hell is absolutely awful. For eternity. We cannot comprehend eternity, but eternity in hell is a massive deal. If God is all knowing, and omnipresent, I think he has a pretty good idea that a person never even got the chance. I suspect God knows full well about the people who just don't know, and will talk to them at the end. They are on us, and I expect to be judged for opportunities to give them the good news that I rejected. This is one thing, of many, that I talk to God about. In the western/modern world I agree they have the opportunity, but there are many tribes of people out there who just have never had access to even modern medical technology, let alone the Gospel. I fully believe they deserve the benefit of the doubt, even if they didn't live lives remotely resembling what is prescribed. I do think, though, that everyone has that tug that something just isn't right. I've felt it, and I've been surprised at times when I've voiced my position in anger and not felt it. We just don't know what is right, which bothers me, honestly, but I'm trying.

    I firmly agreed with C.S Lewis on one point in his book Mere Christianity, it reads:
    "We do know that no person can be saved except through Christ; we do not know that only those who know Him can be saved by Him.
    There are people who do not accept the full Christian doctrine about Christ but who are so strongly attracted by Him that they are His in a much deeper sense than they themselves understand. There are people in other religions who are being led by God’s secret influence to concentrate on those parts of their religion which are in agreement with Christianity, and who thus belong to Christ without knowing it. For example, a Buddhist of good will may be led to concentrate more and more on the Buddhist teaching about mercy and to leave in the background (though he might still say he believed) the Buddhist teaching on certain other points."
    Also I'd like to point out two verses in Matthew, 25:39 and 40
    "'When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’"
    This may imply that they never quite literally worshiped God, in other words non-chrisitians
    "The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’"
    But they were saved.

    I personally wouldnt put too much weight in the word of mortal men, no matter their education or how Holy they claim to be. With age have discovered churches and preechers to more often than not misspresent what feels like should be the intent of god, no matter what label they use. And with age i feel more and more that we as humans and mortals might never truly understand the ways of god enaugh to claim we have the right to preech for him and write books in its name. And honestly this is really what it boils down to to me, what you choose to invite to your heart, not to on whose side of the fight about “Whois right’ you choose to stand.

    The fact that people can think Christianity is beautiful when their God lets ANYONE burn in hell for eternity, Holy Spirit or not, is cognitive repugnance. Thank goodness people are seeing this now and deconstructing at a rapid rate. How can somebody even mention the idea of hell in such a winsome and carefree way? If even one person burns for eternity, we must understand that an omniscient God CHOSE not to create a different outcome, though he had the power to do so. And this deserves joy and worship because… Jesus? Eternal fire, torture on the cross, Old Testament genecide… I’m the seeing the pattern of a sadist. So how do you distinguish between "I gathered all the information and made my own conclusions about god, Jesus or the bible" and "I have gathered all the information and It is the holy spirit who led me to the specific conclusion"?
    How do you distinguish between actually receiving the holy spirit and thinking that you have received it but being wrong?
    What evidence is there to support the claim that the existence of god is clearly seen from the nature? Is not it circular? nature was created by god, and we know god exists, because it is evident from the nature?

    • @fiji.christianblue
      @fiji.christianblue  3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      1 - It's intuitive. Things that are intuitive can easily be dismissed though, so I guess it comes down to faith.
      2 - there's a very simple test to see if you have the holy Spirit. If you can sincerely say "Jesus is Lord" then you have him. This comes from 1 Corinthians 12:3
      Obviously the test is made void if the Bible isn't true. But I suppose if the Bible isn't true you wouldn't need the test in the first place.
      3 - I'm not saying you know there's a God because there's nature. I'm saying you know there's a God because you can intuitively sense it through nature.
      My perfectly content agnostic friend has explained to me that he can sense a higher power/energy that the world obeys. He doesn't believe it's sentient but He can sense it nonetheless. It's not only him tho, I've heard many many people speak of something similar.
      I consider that evidence that the bible speaks truth in Romans 1:20
      As for the people who specifically say they don't feel that way. I'm certain they're not lying but I do believe they are mistaken. Intuition is so easily and frequently dismissed. Not everyone's going to notice it or care that it's there.
      All that being said. The real reason why I believe in Romans 1:20 is because I sense it. I can never truly say whether or not other people do. But I'm only accountable to what I know and find to be true. My experience is the only one I can fully rely on.
      My experience might be wrong, sure, but it's all I got. So I do the best I can.

      Blind Faith = once upon a Time the Earth is actually just a giant turtle. I believe this because I have faith and that's it.
      Faith in Christianity = I've done countless hours of research. argument after argument! Is there a God? Does good and evil objectively exist? Is there a meaning to life? I apply the knowledge I read in books, The knowledge I collect through experiences, the knowledge of theologians and skeptics before me, I apply everything I possibly can. I come at it from this angle. I come at it from that ang. Constantly rebuilding my worldview. Doing my dang stinking best to navigate what is true and what is false.
      Yes believing in Christianity takes faith.
      Believing Christianity is false takes just as much faith.
      All you can do is you're very best.
      And if you accept an agnostic lifestyle that's fine. But you're certainly not going to find truth by giving up.
      Hence, the only path the truth is faith. whether it's faith that there isn't a God, or faith that there is one. faith is necessary for truth.

    A few things to say:
    1. So, you said it's really not fair that we get sent to heaven because we've all sinned and we're not all good. I 100% agree with that. But using that same logic, we don't deserve hell either because we've all done good things and we're not all bad. Right? To be honest, I think Earth is a pretty good representation of what we deserve; it's not perfect, not by a long shot, but it still has a lot of good qualities. It's kind of like a medium place.
    2. Maybe I'm going too far into this but, if God sends people some sort of message to know They're real, shouldn't They do it in a way that is more distiguishable than intuition? I feel like an intuition can easily be confused and just all around isn't the best tool. Maybe that's the point?

    • @someperson7884
      @someperson7884 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I would like to object to 1.
      So a definition of good(That applies to people) is morally righteous. Or, morally excellent. (Since google dictionary defines 'righteous' as 'very good; excellent)
      We can use morally perfect as well.
      So to know whether if you're a good person or not, if you believe in the 10 commandments, then if you break just 1, then you lost your chance of being morally perfect/excellent. If you lied, you broke one, you sinned, and lost your chance.
      And simply because we did good things does not mean we no longer deserve hell. Do good actions outweigh the bad? Well, to justice, of course not. And since God is perfectly just and a judge himself. If you're in a courtroom, and you're the criminal and say to the judge that you did many good things and don't deserve to go to jail, would the judge let you go free? Of course not, why? Because that's not how justice works, good actions cannot outweigh the bad actions.

    • @thebelen2359
      @thebelen2359 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@someperson7884
      I respectfully disagree. I don't think the courtroom is a good comparison, because I don't think that law and morality are the same, and the court system judges a person's obedience of the law, not the person themselves. It judges only the actions that they did against the law, not all of the actions they have committed across their entire lives. Plus, isn't God's justice system supposed to be superior to the one we humans have in place?
      In my opinion the heaven and hell system is just too black and white. None of us are perfect, but none of us are 100% evil. Really, humans are increadibly complex creatures, and I think clasifying someone as good or bad is oversimplifying it. Therefore, I don't think any of us deserve to be free of pain or suffering for all eternity, nor do I think any of us deserve to suffer for all eternity.
      Anyway, this is just my opinion, it's not like it affects whatever (if any) system is in place in the afterlife.

    • @KibbyDragon839
      @KibbyDragon839 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I know this comment is old but the court room comparison is actually good. According to the bible the afterlife is decided with a courtcase. God is described many times as a judge. When the pharisees acused Jesus of breaking Jewish law Jesus told the pharisees that Moses (the first person God gave the law to) would testify against them. The bible says if you break a single law you're as guilty as if you broke them all. Meaning even if a person only commits a single sin they go to hell. Sin is a cancer that kills everything it touches. God is a God of justice he cannot allow it. God being also a God of love and mercy went to great lengths to save us. Even allowing Jesus to be tortured and killed for us. If someone is to deny this what is left for them but hell? When God or anyone provides a wayout from a disaster but the person still picks disaster death awaits them.
      For the second point God has given people a clearer sign before. Jesus walked the earth in the flesh proclaiming to be the way, to be the Son of God people still didn't believe him. They killed him. Jesus spoke of a parable a person in hell ask Abraham (who is in heaven) to bring a person back to life to warn his family. Abraham replies with if they won't believe moses and the prophets (the bible) they won't believe someone who rose from the dead. Again sorry I know this is an old comment but I like talking about this stuff. I don't have all the anwsers this is just what I got over the years with different teachings and reading the bible.

    Like tribes in the jungles and stuff. Some of them believe in multiple gods or like the old egyptians
    they believed too in multiple gods and they didn't got a chance to change their beliefs, cuz jesus wasn't born at that time
    did all of them go to hell, because they didn't believe in the 'right god'? :0

      If the tribal people aren't Christian, chances are they are pagan. And that's very bad - because most of those pagan tribes aren't doing christianlike things. And you know what ends up happening. They all die from death.
      If you want to save others from death, become Orthodox Christian, study it in detail for many years and become a missionary - try to emulate the saint equal-to-the-apostles Nicholas of Japan and saint John of Shanghai and the missionaries of Alaska. Study their life and teachings. Those people took the initiative and devoted their entire lives (especially saint Nicholas of Japan) to study the native languages and translate the Scripture as well as the teachings of the Holy Fathers.
      It's important to note that only studying Orthodox Christianity will make you successful, as it's the true religion, free from all the heresies, as opposed to catholicism and especially protestantism. And also almost all islamists and all modern judaists don't make it into the Kingdom of God.

    If you believe in the Holy Spirit, when you ‘accept him’, does that mean accepting the religion as a whole (the religion in question being Christianity and Jerusalem)? You say people who don’t believe in God are mistaken, does that mean they’re wrong and should be Christian or…?
    By “the Holy Spirit”, do you mean religiously good or morally good, or both?
    Again, I’m so sorry. I was raised catholic but have been facing problems recently. Whenever I try to be a good Christian, I fall into a spiral of discomfort and loneliness and can never pinpoint why (often leading me to the point of tears). what would you say about completely isolated civilizations like the sentinelese people (from sentinel island). these people are completely isolated from outside contact and most likely follow their own religion. they speak their own language and cannot be contacted by outsiders due to being protected by the indian gov. how would someone here recieve the holy spirit? its not like they can just start looking up stuff about Christianity or start reading the Bible. thoughts?

    You cannot get to Heaven while being a Hindu or a Jew. Heaven is reserved to those who follow God's laws. You can't serve 2 masters.

    Classic Christian dishonesty. First the false dichotomy: "No-one deserves heaven" doesn't mean they deserve eternal torture. Then Romans 1:20: believing in God doesn't mean believing in Christianity.
    "No-one goes to hell for being mistaken, they reject the key to heaven", so they're mistaken.

    God knew from all eternity who would accept and who would not accept the most gracious gift that would be through the Son Jesus Christ for which God created people in certain times and places so that all who would believe would be placed to hear it and accept it whether before Christs time on earth, during or after and others were placed on earth away from it for those whom God knew wouldn’t accept it anyways even if they had heard it full well knowing it and those who will hear it but still reject it. We can NOT look at it from our limited perspective but we must think in the perspective of God Almighty! Great question. Be blessed by accepting the gift of eternal life in Christ Jesus the Lord who paid the debt of sin in full once and for all who believe! Glory to God Almighty!

    Hey kid, which version of hell? Sheol? (The grave) Gehenna? (Valley of Hinnom) Hades/Tartarus? (Realm of the dead) or lake of fire? (What they called the Dead Sea back then?)

    to christians you go to hell if you dont believe in jesus. to the others who believe or do not believe they are going wherever they think they are going or not and at the same time you are going to hell according to christians. that makes sense. you are multiple persons with the same body and spirit soul. if a christians tells you you are going to hell you are going to hell and at the same time your other person is in nirvana or moksha or you just died like you dont have that answer. only dead know that or not or somewhere you think you are goin or gods tell you you are goin because you cannot judge yourself where you are goin. isnt it awesome going places and i thought going places was hard you have to worry about fares and they are already taking you places.
