A lot of good things about this performance. I like the way he's not afraid to play the awkward ascending octave chords in the second half of bars 22 and 24 with a small relaxation of tempo, in order to articulate them clearly. A lot of performers just barge through these groups, as though afraid that if they slow down we'll think they've failed to master the technical challenge, but I think Schumann intended the awkwardness to force a slight retardation.
Schumann is great, but why would anyone want to spend the time learning this behemoth??
