Looks like I got this one right! I just ordered a small lightweight Ulanzi a few days ago, the M-44, to go along with the DJI Osmo Action 4 I told you I was going to get. I got it already and I'm happy with the quality and value. I ordered the Action 4 last night, be here in a few days. I need lightweight because I'm a fulltime car-free cyclist and the tripod is perfect.
I just got the Video Go tripod and it was a terrible mistake. Middle column got stuck on first full extension with a small piece of plastic falling out, and then when I tried to open the legs for access to the column one of them SNAPPED CLEAN OFF with no force applied. I don't know what it's made of but that's NOT ~$250 worth of materials. On paper it's near perfect. In reality absolutely terrible QC. My Peak Design tripod may have cost more and doesn't have the f38 system, but it's been through hell and not a scratch! It also feels wayyyyy more robust in the hand just handling it.
I actually started using the F38 quick mounting system a few months back and love it. This tripod would definitely complement it. I already have 2 tripods but I like the quick locking, unlocking legs on the one featured in this video. Great review as always. ✌️😎
Thanks for this overview! Have you tried switching center column from their Zero/Zero Y photo tripod? I wonder if it’s the same fit. I’d like to get the add-on f38 1/4 center column they’re selling and have a quick way to switch between photo and video setups. Also… just noticed that since you’ve posted a month ago, the price has already gone up to 299.95 for f38 version. Black Friday discount will bring it down to 236, but still not as low as $220 when it launched. Oh well!
Hello @flytpath have a question about the screws. If you tighten either the pan or tilt lock screws, is the video head securely locked or quite loose if you try to pan or tilt? Thank you!
I have the Coman Zero F38 tripod and it is amazing. This TT09 is similar to mine but better for video and not much bigger. However, it looks like I can swap the parts if I have both!!

But this new model is much cheaper, although it has all the same features. So what is the difference between these two? What makes one so much more expensive than the other?

Can you remove the logo on the leg? 5:00 looks like a sticker not printed

They came out with this. I guess that's why it's hard to find the Zero f38. That's my favorite Tripod.

Are the legs thicker then the Ulanzi and Coman f38? That tripod is too thin and the legs warp, I've got 4 of them all warped
