I am loving this channel... I created an entire symphony with 22 orchestral instruments with my midi keyboard choir and all and I'm still blown away... I can't play anything but a guitar and little piano it's music theory that got me there and some googling to find out the roles of each instrument I want to sign artists produce them and do same for myself
I love this video i learned a lot. That be, do, have concept hit me that I need to feel I am a music producer / artist and do what they do because I own thet identity first. I've always hide away my passion hobbies from everyone..haven't enjoyed performing, have none musician friends.. however I'll keep learning producing, cuz music is THE art form that I most want to able to create and only have looked up to music artists for a decade. (I tried pottery, design, drawing, jewelry, dance, photography..music is a late passion that sparked fire to keep pushing thru lol the others i just left cuz i learned enough for my contentment) thankss for this very inspiring video to keep challenging myself ❤
Dear Andrew, you are such a GREAT person! ❤ I never heard any of your music but i want to bring to your attention that your talent to MOTIVATE people could even be greater than making music 😮! Whatever you do, keep on doing it like you do 👍👍👍🙋♂️🎸
I want to capture my own music so my children and grandchildren can listen to my songs....sounding good!! Also for me. But its an age thing. Most youngsters look for the kudos. Age is soooo creatively liberating!!
This video opened up so many perspectives I didn't even know existed, it was like you were talking to me not just at me. This hit me really hard, the part about not giving up when everyone else would quit, that's what really hit me. Thank you so much for all these awesome tips, I really did take these to heart. Keep up the great work.
This is exactly the video I needed to see. I've been fighting the dunning Kruger cycle and it's really had me feeling down. Thank you for sharing this. Really felt like a much needed talk from an old friend.
this is a great video, thank you for making it! personally, i want to be able to manifest what is inside of my mind, i have so many ideas and i can hear crazy compositions, i think im some kind of musical genius in a way, but for make that a reality i need to be an amazing producer
First video was great, I’m glad I subbed. This vid hits home, I’ve been making tracks I like but have resistance to hitting that upload button.. but I’ve decided this year I will start posting.
Artistic endeavours are hard. I'm a music producer/songwriter and photographer, and both things are endless pits for needing knowledge and there are endless opinions on just about every aspect of them. If there's something I would have hoped for for both of these activities, it would be to get a mentor early on. Not family, not friends - someone you respect to give you an honest opinion, and who has at least a reasonable knowledge in the area in which you want to pursue. I never had a mentor, and it held me back significantly. Always second guessing myself, always doubting myself. You don't need someone to tell you how to do everything, nor do you need someone to steer you completely in a direction creatively... that would stop us all being unique. But to have someone who can tell you when something is terrible, and indeed, when something is great, is very valuable indeed. Loved the graph by the way. I know it wasn't yours, but you found it. I've never seen that before, but its so spot on.
Discord is actually pretty good for finding a mentor. I found a server from a small youtuber and ther was a professional producer on there that helped me with my music

"Music production is an infinite game; whole point is to keep playing." Love this, man!

Also. Everything you said I agree with

I feel like the industry and the process is really discouraging for people who start later in life.
It definitely can feel that way. Just keep making music. I promise it gets better the more you do it
Lol 😂 fake it till you make it!
Just convince yourself enough to take action 😉
