This is terrific! I have been listening to S.T. for the last 40 years, to see what he was doing in such detail is fascinating. I heard him play live a dozen times, his riffs are burned into my brain. Thanks for posting!
Thank you again and again. You’ve taught me so much. I’m really picking up the slower riffs so much better now. Wish I could do the same with the faster stuff. Oh well,I’ll keep trying. You’re the best.
Dude, this series are just amazing and one of the most useful things I've found on TH-cam. Could you do a third one soon please? Maybe a Little Walter/Big Walter if you wanna go classic, or a Musselwhite one if you want some more modern stuff (His style is very recognisable too) Thank you !!
Thank You a million times Will Wilde you have taught me so much I appreciate this so much especially you taking your time out to make all these videos. You are the most badass harp player on TH-cam n Teacher on here. Thanks again man ✌️👍👍👍 Keep on Rocking #HarmonicaForLife
Will Wilde, From my perspective, your "Signature Licks" are lessons that I keep coming back to and can never get enough of. They help me as not only a breathing exercise, but as a timing skill development and confidence builder. Hope you do some more in 2020. It would be awesome, and very much appreciated to see a John Lee " Sonny Boy 1 " Williamson Signature Licks tutorial. If your looking for ideas. Thanks for the time and effort you put into these tutorials.
gave my lungs and lips a fair work out really liked this lesson ,pick up an old harp so not to break my 4 hole on my new special 20tys Thanks for every little riff Mr Wilde
I'd suggest for your next video you cover all the licks for Sonny Terry - Whoopin' the Blues, very interesting one, no one made a real tutorial for that, you'd be first on a great tune 💪 the intro you covered here (lick 2) is really good and very instructive for coordination, where most people struggle a lot when trying to learn it by themselves, that's a good one practice!
You are an inspiration to me. I grew up in Lancashire and then moved to London. I detect you are a Londoner too. I emigrated to California 35 years ago and now retired, I have more time to do all the things I wanted to when I was too busy climbing up the Corporate Ladder. I love the way you play and although I am past the basics, I am somewhat stuck. Any suggestions? Cheers!
Hi Will ! Two questions on the first chugging rythm : - my lungs get filled with air too quickly, how to you manage to blow the same amount of air that you draw ? - On the draw chords, do you use your tongue and say "Ta Ta Ta" or do you just use a cough ?
brilliant and very helpfull will just found you on you tube and had to subscribe straight away you are awesome do you know any licks for sonnys callin your mama as i cant find any plz help thanks again for exellent help on videos
@@willharmonicawilde Great, I was getting confused haha, perfect 👌 Like always, the video is so useful! Especially when you break down the rhythm, makes it so much easier to learn it!
Hi Will, I'm finding it a bit more difficult to control breathing on this one, are you spilling air over the blow note or out of the side of your mouth? Also, have you any vids. on playing country blues? Great stuff by the way. Cheers
The simple country blues lick sounded so familiar to me. I realized I heard it in a Medicine Head song. Me and Susie Hit the Floor. th-cam.com/video/8v-n2AS6eXA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=LGHCaNn5WqiK5XVW
Nice one Will, Sonny's a legend!

Great lesson Will. Just wondering how you are articulating the first riff? Are you saying ka ka, or tonguing it with ta ta?
May the road rise up to meet you, and may the wind always be at your back.
Your one cool cat x
1:40 draw 2 on beat 1&3 and blow 2 on beat 2 and 4 no?
Yes that's right

What brand of harp do you play? I play a Lee Oskar diatonic and I swear it's tuned differently. I can't play the 3rd lick onwards.
