@@jianxiongRaven not for the time being because of how expensive the tricity 300 is. The machine price is $21k, add current coe of about $9.5k. The tricity 300 now cost at least $30.5k. It's too expensive for a class 2A bike. I rather get the new forza 350 or adv 350 which is cheaper.
Haha... I still have the 1st gen Tricity despite having a Class 2 bike. This is the bike if I want a relax ride, ride in wet conditions or carry lots of stuff... Also "parents approved" bike, went to JB with it, can still slowly ride to workshop if one of the front wheels has a flat, etc... yes I also give a smug glance when passing by bikes taking shelter in the rain... honestly, I stopped caring of how I look on this bike after a while... personally, my favorite bike of the 5 bikes that I've owned so far.
I am riding a 125 hence my rear tyre size is 110/90-12. The newer 155 has a larger rear tyre, 130/70-13 which makes it a little more stable. The front tyres are both 90/80-14 for both models. You cant upsize it, as the rim is not compatible with wider tyres.
Definitely much more stable than 2 wheel bikes with pillion. Especially when u ride across big bus or trucks, sometimes the Cross wind can make ur bike suay. The braking system is also very good. 2 brakes in front allows u to brake safety with pillion as well. Very hard to jam up the front brakes and the chances of you skiding when doing emergency brake is also lower. However you need to get use to riding this bike first before pillion. This bike is head heavy, which makes low speed maneuver slightly harder. After few weeks of riding you will get use to it and appreciate the additional front end grip =)
Yeas even a 4 wheel motorcycle Qooder Quadro can self skid. It all depends on rider. But 3 wheeler harder to self skid and there is 2 front wheels and 2 front brakes.
Currently tricity brand new is 155cc, yes it's 2B license. Machine price cost around $8.5k, current COE is $9.5k so total probably around $18k. Or you can look for 2nd hand tricity (mostly 125cc) for around $6k to $7k on carousel.
3 wheelers have more contact patch with the ground than 2 wheelers. It is still possible to skid. I skid once at a multi story carpark when the floor is really wet. It's physics that 2 front wheels will definitely give u more grip than 1 front wheel. And the infamous motorcycle 'tank slap' will almost never happen.
@@faibugatti8845 nope, it was a low speed skid and I drop the bike gently. There wasn't any damage to bike at all and no injuries for me. That skid happened also because I didn't realize my rear tyre was worn out. Ever since I always go real slow on wet carparks. Since then no skids =)
Nice interview but your title stated 135 and when u show AD1 200 it stated 400.🙄 I was told only Boon Lay Vicom able to inspect 3 wheelers. Not sure is it still true. 🤔
Thanks for the review! I'll be glad to answer any questions abt this tricity 125 =D
Thank you once again Mervin for coming out and sharing your experience with your TriCity. Hopefully you'll upgrade to the 300 soon. 😏✌️😁

are you going to upgrade to the *"Tricity 300"* ?

Hi U mentioned you have rode to JB , just wondering if you have any problem clearing immigration in Singapore and JB small motorcycle lane ? Thank you
@@kohseehai349 no problem. Can fit small lane
Where to change the seat to one with lumbar support like this one?
Hi Mervin, where did you get your seat done? i just got my tricity 125, and find the seat a little uncomfortable for longer (>20-30mins) rides.
Great review. Hard to find a local 3 wheeler review. Keep it up!
Hi mervin. May i know if we change to a bigger tyre size more stability of the bike? Or the tyre size is standard size?

At least I knew more about this type of 3 wheeler. Good knowledge
Hi. What os the size of the box? What is the maximum size for box a tricity 125 bike able to take?
My box is 60 liters. There is no maximum size but the manufacturer recommend weight for the tricity rack is 5KG.
Thanks for review the Tricity...Good works!
I find the brakes are very powerful. Same braking power as a class 2 bike.
How's it like with a pillion? Does it still feels stable?

will this bike self skid on the road?

Should'a repaint it white and add police blinkers
I'm really curious and still wondering. Is it possible to lean so low into a corner till one of the front wheel lifted? 😂
Not possible, I will grind the main stand first =)
Waiting for 300cc
How much can i get this bike for. Can i ride on 2B license?

Mervin. when u skidded once, did u really had a hard fall with the bike onto the wet flooring which sustained bodily injuries?

@@mervineng2705 hi Mervin, is this bike big enough for a 178cm guy like me? I fear that my legs may feel cramp using it.
Can it stand on its own?
Nope. It doesn't have a hydraulic mechanism like the MP3. It needs a stand.
Bro. Tak review yang 300?

Not true, for me I always go yishun vicom. They are able to inspect 3 wheelers, just don't ride thru the 'course' like standard 2 wheelers.
@@mervineng2705 👍
I send my 3 wheelers to Sin Ming Vicom. No problems
There is no Vicom in Boon Lay. Only STA.
