I have ordered the reprint of the main game. Awaiting delivery with trepidation over how complicated it is, but your video has reassured me, this game looks excellent! Thank you for a well explained video and for your infectious enthusiasm :)
Great playthrough, thanks for the effort. Rvery single time you shuffle you happened to leave the new stronger card you add to the deck as fhe next card you'll draw. Kept happening to. Lol
You are correct I was more interested in demonstrating what would have Happend. I should have been more clear on the chain break rule. Thanks for catching that I’ll make sure mention it in the next video. 😃😃👍
At about 39 mins in, when you're explaining the clearing of the Kratos pool with your titan that didn't attack, it isn't quite right. Because you didn't attack you don't perform any of the attack steps, the clear Kratos pool is step is part of the attack step sequences. Only attacking and hitting (clearing then filling) or full miss (only clearing) will clear the pool.
Actually he is correct. You clear the Kratos Pool even on a full miss. Here is the extract from the rules "All dice that are not hits are misses. If you miss with all your Attack dice, it is considered a full miss. Go straight to step 9 (Clear the Kratos Pool), without resolving any further Attack steps, then activate all “Full miss:” abilities and immediately end the Attack."
@@Rokku82 I agree with you and that's what I said above, a full miss will clear the pool. However you only generate a full miss if you attack and miss, If all you do is move then you don't perform any of the attack step sequences. Step 9 (Clear the Kratos Pool) is specifically a step in the attack sequence, not the general player sequence.
You are all correct. I didn't get that at first but after looking into all this yes I should have kept the Kratos pool alone since I didn't attack. I will be mentioning this in the next video thanks
@47:50 you get resources multiplied with the primordial level 0 in tutorial so you get ambrosia etc x0 Makes sense if you read into the fast setup, then you get to the same setup solution then when you would play the tutorial. That´s why they mentioned the most forgotten rule is that you "multiply them with the level of the primordial."
AHHH that makes sense. it is a tutorial after all. I just figured if you did the battle you get something lol. I guess those blades will help maybe thanks Alexander
@@OneStopCoopShop Jup i played it with gaining resources too and then when i finished the tutorial i thought hmm let´s check the quickstart if anything differs. And then i told myself "okay they really meant multiply it with Zero" :)

Are you sure, you can provide Die's, Reroll and Pushback from your Kratos Table into the Kratos Pool? For my understanding the pool is only for tokens - extra die, reroll and pushback can use immediatley in your turn. Check out example on page 50 (Creating Power Dice Pools)
This is correct, tokens go into the kratos pool to help setup the next titan, but affects like dice re-rolls and pushbacks are used by the current titan.
32:50 using fate to reroll can only be performed once per die and all dice need to be rolled at once. You cannot decide to spend another fate to reroll after the first fate was not enough to hit.
@@OneStopCoopShop looking forward to see your next video. Good paint job on the minis and I love your excitement for the game. It transports to the viewer. 😊
@39:40 I would say reading the rules: You get only to the "Clear Kratos Pool" step when you actually attack. If you don´t attack in a round you don´t clear the Kratos Pool. See Rulebook Page 48, Clear Kratos Pool as step 9 of an "Combat Action" Please let me know if i am wrong but i think that is right because it´s all listed under attack and it would not make sense to just do 1 of the steps and not the others.
That is correct, in addition the movement and attack actions are both optional. You are not required to attack and do the attack sequence (or move for that matter).
@26:30 if i get the rulebook right you don´t have to "hit" the second ability window always appears when you "attack". No other thing needed, makes sense because if it would only happen if you "hit" then it could end terribly for you over time. I just found a paragraph: "All attacks miss go to step 9 clear the Kratos Pool. After that you go to the second ability window." Means only if the titan died before the second ability window you don´t add tokens into the pool.
That makes sense. looked at the full miss means you skip the the second ability window and so you dont get to add tokens to the Kratos pool also death of a titan I think you still get to add, but not sure Ill have to look into it
@@OneStopCoopShop Yeah seems like in Monopoly. Directly go to jail "Step 9" and don´t take any other steps until you arrive at that step. For example don´t take money if you go over GO! :)

@@casualcainboardgames2814 The Question is. Is it meant like "go directly to step 9 and skip all attack steps until then" or skip all other attack steps from step 9 onwards? Did you get an official answer from ITU in regard to this? I am not sure how this was really meant. I am pretty sure that if you play it this way later on you will end only missing and dying at the end, because you need Kratos Tokens. But if it was intended that way then it´s fine. But i would like to get an official answer on this before.

Small error in the resources you gain. It's 4 Ambrosia not 4 Trireme. You only gain the mortal resources (Trireme, Monument, Armament) from the voyage phase.
I’ve never had an issue reading them. There are black and white dice that may have half a dozen symbols on one side so either the symbols on the red ones are way bigger and bolder than the others or they look a little wimpy because they are.
I believe the AI card escalation when you wound.a lvl 2 BP and gain a lvl 3 AI card replaces a lvl 2 AI card, not, as you did, a lvl 1. pg 53, second row.
At 38 mins you just moved up you titan but you couldn't you have reached the primordial with with the rush maneuver move and attack. I think it gives you plus 1 movement and an auto break 1. Or did I make that up in my head.
I watched this because i didn't know anything about Aeon Trepass but have heard a lot of good things about it. I watched this and thought it was kingdom death. 🤣this looks great!
So what does the priority target token do? Or is it just a pointless large lump of plastic which is handed round players and gets in the way? Or does it enter the arena and fight?
When the Hekaton did that attack that killed your titan, but the titan got a counter attack on the way out, would your titan’s attack have populated the Kratos pool for the next attack?
Yeah always 4 and by the end of cycle each gets to be complicated and unique. But you build them up slowly so by then you get to know them pretty well.
mmm im not sure i like the way the titan can die, just some random punch and dead, like i dont get a clear idea of what my HP is because there arent any and a random card after 3 hits can kill you instantly, i dont see that as fun,, looks frustrating as hell.
I am at the 5th replay of the combat tutorial. The first three times I got horribly abused. Mostly by cursed diced but also knockdowns. The 4th I won. I was so proud and happy until I realized I totally forgot to draw the trauma cards. So far, I am really disappointed by how much this combat system is dice luck dependent. It is really frustrating.
Want to sell off your disappointment to me? I can take it off your hands for USD50. I mean, what's the point of keeping disappointments in your life? Like Marie Kondo once said, if it doesn't give you sparkles and unicorns, it is time to Let it Go!
Many of the trauma cards are beneficial, especially in the minor/major decks. Some tips for Hekaton: he usually attacks nearest in front or the priority target. He often knocks back. He sometimes does zone attacks. So keep that in mind to avoid setting yourself up for zone attacks or crash into columns. It’s ok to miss some attack opportunities, be a little cautious. You can use his pushbacks to pull him into range. In general it’s good to just accept full miss in the first couple rounds too. It builds your rage and doesn’t escalate the primordial. It’s swingy and you can get some bad luck streaks but if you carefully position and consider your choices there are a lot of ways to mitigate that.
You know you can re-roll your dice too, right? And each attack increases your Rage giving you access to higher levels of the Kratos chart to add more tokens to make it easier to hit? If you were getting abused, the Hekaton also wasn’t getting stronger cause you weren’t wounding it-it sounds like you were missing more than just the Trauma cards.
Try to position yourself so the Hekaton crashes into columns. This makes it easier to wound him. Also make sure you rigged the trauma decks for tutorial. Many are beneficial so if you forgot them, it put you at a big disadvantage. Good luck.
