he is honestly so intelligent, like obviously he's physically attractive but his most appealing quality is how genuine and knowledgable he is. it's so nice to listen to him speak.

It would be so refreshing to have an interviewer search for more unique questions.
I know people are giving this interviewer a bit of crap for being "unoriginal" and his use of words and calling Chocolate "dope". But honestly I think Matty was quite happy with his attitude. The interviewer honestly seemed to take interest in him and his music and talk to him like he would any other person. I think people forget that The 1975 is a R&B/Hip-Hop/Pop sound based band. And for someone who's different culture to really take interest and actually listen to the music, watch their work is very impressive. I like seeing someone from a different scene than compared to the normal "indie/alternative/hipster" kind of interviewers. It's refreshing and makes me excited for this band and their audience. It's awesome that their fan base is expanding past seeing them as just indie boys but more so what their trying to put out there. Which very well maybe a "dope" record.

They are very good. They remind me of Depeche Mode, sometimes the Cars, sometimes Thompson Twins and, weirdly enough - Christopher Cross - the "the best that you can do"
