Going to to rebuild mine. Everyone told me it cannot be done blah blah. This man proved the world is not flat
Or did he prove it is? 😅
I tried and thought I was successful, it only lasted less then a month lol, then just replaced it with a salvaged one
I was told that a CVT transmission could not be rebuilt. And then I saw this video. I was lied too
Yes, the dealership usually just replace them and charge the customer an arm and a leg, these transmissions are actually a lot more simpler inside than a regular automatic transmission. There's not that many internal parts.
I'll be dipped thank you sir
In Asia almost all CVT are repairable. But not all automatic.
Thank you looks doable. God bless you
@ThLaborService, where the barrels u used or new and where do you recommend getting new belt. As precaution want to replace belt and want to know if primary and secondary and be reused.
Please good recommendation to buying quality belt?
JUST A GLORIFIED SNOW MOBILE CLUTCH DRIVE! Been making these since the 1950's
Love the Language.. Seriously Good Video.. I own a Juke, I stress over my AWD CVT and Drain and Fill the fluid twice a year.. Which people tell me is over Kill but I don't care. I want clean new Fluid's in my car at all times.. I change my Oil every 1000 miles and I do a 5 quart CVT drain and fill every summer second week of June, Right before the summer Hot months.. This is something everyone with a CVT should do every summer.. This fluid acts more as a protectant to the pully's and Belt more than just a Hydraulic fluid.. And the summer is when the fluid burns up the most.. Nissan in it's infinite wisdom didn't ad a CVT cooler to a trans that only holds a total 8.5 quarts fluid.. Most older cars with automatic Trans hold 13 to 15 quarts which makes a huge difference in protection and longevity of an automatic Trans.. You can get up to 300,000 miles out of these cars but you have to do the maintenance.. Or drive like my Mother.... But if you got a heavy foot or Like being first and Getting in front of the Assholes that want to drive slow in the Passing Lane.. You Need to do a Drain and Fill's on all these different types of CVTs at least once a year.... I highly recommend this! And don't listen to the asshole at the dealer that says Oh you already have 70K 80K or 90K on your Trans it's better to just leave it alone at this point.. They are Wrong!! And Makes no sense with a CVT, that uses the fluid more as a protectant than anything else.. That used to be true with older automatics, (But if you went to 20,000 miles without an Oil change you would never say Oh well it's to old I might as well just leave it in there and just wait for it to Blow up..)
I have a Note with a CVT, I change the fluid once a year. People say I'm crazy, I thought I was the only one out there changing the fluid. I'm at 100,000km and hoping for another 400,000!
when you shift between reverse/drive give the cvt a sec to adjust.
Primary pulley piston is one of the main causes of issues with these transmissions. They often blow a seal especially when the transmission runs too hot (which they almost always do because they have trash cooling systems). When the seal blow, it takes fluid pressure away from the rest of the transmission especially the clutches.
This is why I installed an external transmission cooler.
@@izzydizzy1115 Can you share the idea how to do this?
. Do you know where to source the seal?
I rebuilt a few Ford and GM automatic transmissions back in the day when I used to screw with that stuff. Your videos are excellent and show the real life experience of messing with this shit. I agree with your point on another of your videos that pulling and reinstalling these in the car is a much bigger pain in the ass than the bench top rebuild. Great videos!
It’s a very useful information to me. Thank you very much.
Best vid ever thanks a lot versa helpful
Thank you for this. If you don’t mind me asking… where did you buy your master rebuild kit?
Belt got destroyed on my 2015, would I be good just replacing the belt for the time being? Already have the trans pulled, pulleys out valve body out and all the belt remnants cleaned out. I don't have the money right now for a full rebuild and just hoping this'll get me by
How did just replacing the belt work out for you?
Lol not good probably your pulleys got to get rebuilt as well and cleaned because metal got through there. I’m sure.
Where did you order parts for rebuild
Thanks for this video u just got a subscriber !!!!
Thank you
Bro thanks for all this videos
Question did you resolved the the problem once you putted it back on?
Thanks for the video..i am going to overhaul my 2104 Versa. Do you.have any idea why a 30 tooth or a 29 tooth version of the primary pulley are offered? I assume i have a 29 tooth..

Gracias!
Hi I keep watching your video is it is helping me a lot your vehicle is it 2012 and I have it 2015 the parts for yours fit on my as well the overhaul kit have all the o-rings needed including the ones on the bottom of the pulley 2 Teflon White o rings thank
Nice sir
Thank you!
I follow you from algeria 💪❤️ good joooob
Thank you my friend! I will have more videos soon. I have been so busy. Thank you for the follow!
Thank you very much, your video will help a lot of people
What was the wrong with your transmission what update did you do?!
New sub
The chain belt inside the transmission broke after about 100,000 to 150,000 miles of driving. So I pulled everything out and rebuilt it. Changed the clutches, transmission pump, seals, o rings, rebuilt everything back.
@@TheLaborService thank you very much. I'm doing mine soon. where do you buy parts?!
@@TheLaborService this transmission have problems with overheating? How it can be solved? Thanks.
@@raoulraoul7129 My friend try adding another transmission cooler to the transmission line, watch my video here. th-cam.com/video/jUSaT771z9A/w-d-xo.html
@@TheLaborService Thank you dear friend, i love you.
Thanks you very very perfect
Great job! Liked and subscribed
I'm having trouble putting the pulleys back into their housing after rebuilding all seals, it seems as if the belt rides deeper within the pulley groove on the secondary on yours, on mine the belt rides right where the steel bands are, in yours the belt is fully within the secondary pulley. Any advice or help how I can add slack by getting the belt further into the secondary pulley channel? Thank you
How does that primary gear come out? Tried a 1/2" impact to remove and it won't budge. Need to change it
How hard are the springs in the pulleys, just hard enough to help the pulleys return to zero speed or does the hardness vary with the amount of engine torque?
Only piston we can purchase or primary and secondary pulley assembly
Awesome video, but man do I wish I never bought a Nissan. 2013 Maxima, transmission was replaced 20k miles ago. Seems like its failed! It starts to not want to go up in rpms when it gets hot after 20 minutes of driving. Got the stepper motor code and pressure control solenoid stuck. I put a whole new valve body in. Still works fine for about 20 minutes but RPMS start to lag when giving it gas and will shudder when guving it gas from stop. Cant drive far. Also a metal scraping noise when driving. No codes anymore though. If you have any idea what it could be, I sincerely appreciate any input. I just dont get why it works when cold but not after it gets hot after 20 minutes.
Thank you very much, been a big help with my rebuild. I have discovered an easy way to install the variators. How can I send you a video? You can use it if you wish.
How did you do it
I compressed the belt into the driven pulley slightly with a bar clamp, then simply pried them apart, this allows the slack created to to further separate the variators
Hi! Where do you guys usually buy Nissan Transmission parts? I'm looking for a 2014 Nissan Versa Note Transmission Pulley set. Thanks

Thank you for the video.
Just rebuild one transmission and so far everything went smoothly.
How long the Chinese parts last ? I ordered genuine Nissan but the seller scammed me on EBay and I got Chinese.
My transmission has the heat exchanger and additional hoses that go in radiator heat exchanger. Under normal operating conditions fluid is around 195-200F on the highway it drops a bit.
Thinking of bypassing the coolant hoses in the heat exchanger that is bolted to the transmission and leave the fluid go thru the radiator cooler then thru external radiator that I bought and after that to go back to the transmission.
I doubt there will be any long term negative effect if the fluid is 140-150F instead of 200.
In my area temperatures doesn’t drop bellow 37-40F
Another thing: how precisely you have to measure the snap ring on the bearing ? with the tools I had available every reading was off by 0.3-0.5mm so I took the average and decided to use thinner snap ring. ( not to cause excessive preload and destroy the bearings)
Can we dismatle and install for this part without remove transmission down.
Did you swap the pulleys to or just the belt the ones I got in look just slightly different but enough to make me not want to install it haha my belt wasn’t broke but car was hurting and lunging bad….belt was wore pretty bad aswell as steels had decent wear im just wondering if I need to swap those or can I send it with just a new belt
Tienes videos de desaemar el cuerpo de valvulas
I need you because i have CVT transmission has same problem
great video, i removed the oil pan on a 2015 Nissan Versa Note cvt i just picked up that barely moves sometimes it grabs, and it had alot of metal shavings and 2 blades of the steel belt on the oil pan. my plan was to just change the filter and oils. should i try it or not even waste the oil on it?
put a new belt in it.If you got one of those pieces in the pan, the rest will follow suit soon.
How do you know if your primary and secondary pulley any good
Hi, I have broken the white plastic or cermic seal which is in the Housing at 1:04. where can I buy the part?
How did you get the secondary pulley to fit in with the belt, it seems to tight and it won't slide in the casings
Is this something you are attempting I’m afraid I won’t be able to get belt back on if I pull it apart I’m trying to see if the can also be done with trans in the car
My current situation, how'd it go for you?
@@NelO-n7q I managed to get it in and everything put together but then it died again after 3 weeks, after that I just got one from a wrecked car and replaced mine lol
dude, its impossibe to get that belt back on without serious force that is not good for the belt, you skipped that part where u actually got it seated with the belt, im assuming that you used the special tool
thanks for the video. is it possible the belt detroyed in 70K miles? mine in 70K dose not have forward/ reverse except 1 feet in high rpm.
Where can I bought this pulley's? I own a Sentra 2013 with transmission issues, and I want to replacement for it without changing the complete transmission. Excellent video :)
I got the pulleys off of Alibaba.com
@@TheLaborService let me check on it ✅ thank you. And again, great, great video. God bless your family, work and all you do. Cheer's
@@jehu00 Master rebuild kit, transmission pump, along with the Loctite seal to seal everything back was all on eBay. Thank you! and God bless you too!
My 2014 Sentra was driving normal just had a whine coming from the belt and pulleys. So I opened this transmission from the side and replaced them. I put everything back together and now the car doesn't run. I returned the old pulleys and old belt and now it only drives 5 minutes and it slips. I'm so confused. What could I be doing wrong?
Edit!! So I found out what was wrong.. when both pulleys are being put on be very careful when trying to put them in their spot. Try not to use a screwdriver I learned the hard way. It can damage the gasket that goes under the pulleys. To see if they were installed correctly use air pressure to see if they activate. Put air through the two little holes and see if each pulley activates. If they don't you've installed them incorrectly.
@@Musicallyattuned Im going to do this on mine here soon, I just barely transmission put in yesterday and got everything back in like normal and now I have to pull it out again, I'm going to test the pulleys with that air think to see if I installed them correctly (I also took them all apart to rebuild them and think I didnt do it right) so I'ma blow some air in there and pray it doesnt move mostly because I want to see if that was the problem
Can I buy the kit if I do where how much will cost me ?
I am a CVT mechanic working in Dubaï
The transmission have to come out the car to replace this kit?
No sir, the car has to come outside of the transmission. Now look up how to drive into a wall.
I rebuilt my CVT JF011E transmission got it put in but I’m getting a secondary pressure solenoid stuck on ( low pressure) what do I need to look for Thanks
I replaced valve body with a complete reman Please can you help 5:53
And how do you check that the main drive is working after repairing it?
I was not able to check it after the rebuilt. I trusted my gut in the rebuilding process :) everything inside was replaced correctly to spec. I did have an issue with the reverse clutch and had to pull out the transmission again, I also cut that part in the video explaining what the issue was that I found which caused the car not to drive in reverse.
hello. please help. i have nissan march k13 2012 with cvt. and i thinck cvt chain is slipping. what can you do?:( from ebay and alibaba redesigned. from where i can buy a new?

How many quarts of oil do you need to put in the transmission after it has been repaired?
add 5 of whatever cvt fluid it takes, then get it to operating temp and drain from the overflow.

What’s the difference between re0f11a and re0f11b?
I don't think there is such model number.
@@TheLaborService It’s installed in 2020 Versa, and i’m trying to find information about it but I can’t find it anywhere.
Pero no mordiste el teflón de anillo
Can a guy actually get new part's
Yes, you'll have to order them through eBay and Alibaba
You had to replace the pulleys seals because the pulleys works with high pressure fluid and this seals are worn and loses the pressure 100% sure the seals are bad. That is the weakest part in this transmission
😀😀😀😀

can the pulleys be done with trans in the car?
