Hello sir can you tell me or send me the link where did you buy that adapter for this EIS I have vvdi adapter but that doesn’t support this one those large chips are on the way of the pins
My Mercedes w220 cant communicate with DAS ,Mechanic said my car have central gate way problem, but Mercedes w220 don t have CGW. EIS do this job right or wronging? I checked all the electronics in my car i cant find anything which eating battery over night, now my doubt is does the EIS the killer? Only EIS i didnt checked.
@@BestCarFixes thanx...but I think the cable which comes from the transmission to the EIS is what holds the key in...the kicker I'm talking about is COPPER ...when you push the key in it pushes a micro switch..
Nice video! I had to give up on a crank no start issue that I don't think is eis problem... 2003 s500 4matic. No codes the ecm or eis, only get 3 attempts before the eis will no longer allow the cranking position so then you need to remove battery ground and reconnect... Even before the battery reset still no codes... In the eis module everything shows good with the drive authorization however, when you go into ecm and look at drive authorisation it's the opposite... The ecm shows starting is not enabled and immobilizer is enabled...only red flags I have are as follows Initial scan tool hook up shows the wrong vin so I have to build the vehicle manually...I've tried a snap on verus, an autel 906bt and a thinktool pros... All with the same result, eis module has correct vin by the way. Other red flag has to do with the ignition coil amperage... I scoped the cam/crank/coil current/ injector voltage... The injectors will only fire a few times time the ecm cuts them off but the cooks will continue and the current seems high to me, I have 6 coils pulling about 12.22 amps and 2 coils pulling 6.5 amps. I don't know what normal is but something is not right with those results and I'm wondering if the amperage is excessive (coil circuit is fused by a 15 amp fuse) if the ecm is shutting down the injection for some type of self protection? Now... This vehicle is complete trash and should be in a junk yard to be honest but its driving me absolutely bonkers as to what the root cause is... I also no longer have access to this vehicle so I won't be able to do any further testing but I'm really looking for information or suggestions or speculation at this point lol😂
did you ever figure it out? sounds like me; a guy who don't mind wasting time if he can at least know the problem is and have this priceless learning. Sometimes, beisng like that is bad and causes internal turmoil. I met a few cars who broke me down like this. 2 years with an Infiniti M35 but ended finding the problem. I did not for two others (08 X5} AND i still feel terrible evertime i think about it because i waste a huge amount of time and still learned ZILCH from it. ohh boy
@@DFWAuto_Hack never figured it out, I was suspicious of the shifter module, I had some of the same codes but a transmission that was in limp mode in a s430 that it was the shifter module, I got a used one and cloned the eeprom and write it to the used unit and it was fixed. The s500 was really tough because I couldn't spend forever on it and the customer was swapping used modules and didn't keep the old ones and didn't really know what they were doing at all. Allot of aftermarket parts thrown at it too. There was a few more tests I wanted to do but the customer gave up as well...
@@madmike214 man i feel your pain; the customer theough you off track too. These cars do not accept aftermarket parts like that; they litterally puke it. But you resolved the shifter module related limp mode and i even want to ask how you cloned the chip? What device did you you use? Did you have to solder or not?
Can I use a donors computer eis and key with ignition and put it in my car to make it work I have a 99 e320 and I’m tryna buy the eis ignition with key and ecu and swap them on my car do u think it will work ?

Hi i was working on 2000 cl500 with w220, someone was there before me toke the eis and told the costumer that he can’t make a key, when i read the Motorola chip that you mentioned the eeprom was damaged, so i read the other Motorola chip (same info on them?) and i got the right eeprom info, I wrote that eeprom to the damage one and put those two back, i made a key with vvdi mb but eis not responding, Do you know what it can be? I checked the soldering few times (its not my first one)
I have a 2001 c320 I'm getting on com all fuses and relays check out fine I was told the eis is the gateway and I would like to have it and the key tested if possible

You need to do voltage drop check and see how much am are you losing
Hie bro..what is the function of the little copper kicker that pushes a micro switch when you insert a key in a W203 EIS
i think is to release the key when the transmission is on park if not the key will not come out
