Greg, I'm not a Tableau user... but are such calculations any better in there? Is it true that one can just without any training sit down to a computer with Tableau on it and do any calculations they want with no knowledge about how the expression langugue in there works? 'Cause if this is the case, then hats off to the creators of Tableau and shame on you M$. But if not... then it just means it's not possible to do what you're advocating. Such tools must be complex out of necessity. I think the latter is the case as I'm yet to see a laymen trying to code in any language without any training upfront.
