For those not as familiar with Godzilla, allow me to put in perspective why this moment in the movie was so special for us Godzilla fans; hearing this song play during the final battle gave us the same feeling that everyone got when the Avengers theme played right after Cap said "...Assemble".

I legitimately teared up in the theaters.
6:53-7:25. Not going to lie I was never really a Mothra fan and I never understood why she always had to sacrifice herself so others could win the day. In this bit though, as she climbed up on Godzilla after he was dropped from the stratosphere, it got me right in the heart. It looked and sounded like she was comforting him and apologizing for what she was about to do: killing herself so she could transfer her energy to him so he could win the fight. After that whole scene, I can say that I was satisfied with her death.
LONG LIVE THE KING!!!! LONG LIVE THE QUEEN!!!!!
And that she shows up in the pulse attacks that defeat Ghidorah - her cry as they go off, and the pattern of her wings in the blast.
There goes my heart again… :(

That scene where they pull back from Godzilla and you see the Argo and other aircraft in formation along will navel vessels steaming alongside Godzilla sent a chill up my back. Definitely an "Oh My God......" moment.
6:10 - 6:37 is absolute masterwork on Bear McCreary’s part. He might be the next Hans Zimmer at this rate.

Surely. And I´ve got to say, I think the GvsK Godzilla Theme was like... meeeeehhh.
I personally liked GvK's OST but compared to the absolute bangers McCreary created for KOTM it felt...aggresively "ok" for the most part. Serves it's role but nothing really outstanding or striking aside from Kong's motif maybe. I don't mind Godzilla having a brand new theme but the GvK one really felt like an off-beat version of the original, to the point where you have to wonder why didn't they just use it to begin with.

Not only does this music track make for a kickass theme for the final fight, but it's an amazing medley as well.
Having instances of Godzilla's theme, Mothra's theme, Ghidorah's theme and Rodan's theme all appear in one song that blend together flawlessly? Now that's some musical genius right there.

Man, the part where Godzilla is being picked up, the build up of the music to the part he's dropped is just the perfect moment in the film's soundtrack for me. Of course we don't want to see our big G Man being dropped like this, but you can't deny its an amazing scene in Ghidorah's power.

It's because some of the soundtrack used songs from the previous films but in a different arrangement.

This movie was fucking brilliant. I can’t stop watching it. I’m not a die hard Godzilla fan or anything but this movie has made me want to become one. I now want to delve deep into the original Toho movies so I’m gonna start collecting them. 👌🏻✊🏻 This film is a monster masterpiece. ⚜️

John Bowers The human parts were kind of garbage but the monsters and their fight scenes... holy shit
It does have it's flaws, mostly lack of focus on Rodan and Mothra, and it would've been nice to have a clearer look at the fights, but overall, it's a really good movie. 7.5/10.
On the flip side, the bashing from the critics may result in what I like to call the 'Fallen Kingdom' effect, where the criticism ends up making people curious enough to go see the film.

The sheer force of Ghidorah and Godzilla impacting creates massive shockwave was an incredible moment. It just hammers in how these two hates each other so much.

Why did you leave out 5:32 ? Godzilla’s staring at his final battle against all odds and yet he’s willing to die for balance those horns you hear are truly captivating in my opinion and that should’ve been extended in my opinion

Same here I went into this movie less than a month out of a 6-year relationship because the little floozy met a rich man and I felt like a kid I had the biggest grin on my face from the beginning to the end
I was going through so much this past May that KOTM was released and going out to watch my most anticipated film of 2019 opening day was enough to help me forget my sorrow and made me smile. This is now my go to movie when I want to put myself in a better mood.
The film just had me, a life long Kaiju fan since the age of 3, some 22 years ago, spellbound in a trance.
Yes, we'd seen Godzilla fight Ghidorah before. We'd seen this Godzilla on screen before. But the way this was done was truly amazing, a battle of the gods presented in it's full, visceral violence and splendour both visually and aurally.
I've never felt as immersed in a film as much before, never mind a kaiju film.
This was something else, and i'm proud I got to see it.

I’ve never been a huge Godzilla fan. I’ve had a passing interest and enjoyed a few of the movies that I’ve seen (including the 2014 Godzilla).
Went to see this movie with my brother, who is a lifelong Godzilla fan and I must say this movie made me fully understand why he loves these characters.

There are many, MANY reasons as to why Godzilla: King Of The Monsters is my favorite movie of all time, and this right here is one major reason. Being everything I could ask for in a movie, and encompassing the sheer joy that I and many others had, all building up to this.
I remember watching this in the theater with me and my best friend, and words cannot describe how much our faces lit up. This scene was the moment that solidified this movie as my favorite movie of all time and Godzilla as my favorite fictional character. Watch it on the biggest screen possible, when the music blares into action you can't help but get chills. You feel an overwhelming sense of Awe as you see the stunning visuals and the score.. Oh my god it's glorious! Hearing the "Heart Sutra" chanted in the background of Ghidorah's theme was an amazing idea, giving it this new found edge of terror..
And that's only the start.
This movie is so insanely good! The soundtrack is also amazing aswell!!
Godzilla: King of the Monsters has probably the best soundtrack to date. I mean, each of the 4 main monsters have their own theme/leitmotif, and we hear them all in this piece of music. Now that just awesome composing! We hear Godzilla's theme when he arrives to confront Ghidorah at 0:15, we hear Mothra's theme when she arrives to protect Godzilla at 2:22, we then hear Godzilla's leitmotif (the marching male chorus) at 2:34 and Mother's leitmotif (the operatic chorus) at 2:55 as Godzilla and Mothra fight back, then Rodan's theme at 2:59 as he intercepts Mothra and enters the fight, and then Ghidorah's theme (the chanting male chorus) at 3:30 when he begins winning the fight.
6:09 This music; It tells the sadness of a sacred monster that has a great history and has lived for millions of years, being so close to death for the first time.
This soundtrack alone is better than most movies nowadays

The references to the original soundtracks are one of the many things GKM did amazing, besides the entire movie being a gift to the entire fandom
I love how the song tells a story, usually it's the big action scene music no buildup just time to kick butt. However, this music has highs and lows and tells you who's on scene via theme, its so well composed.
