From the second round of the 2013 NCAA tournament, Brett Comer finishing an alley-oop against Georgetown. Florida Gulf Coast would win the game 78 to 68.
I thought it was a horrible pass when he threw the alley, then I yelled and jumped out of my seat when he threw it down. All time great tournament moment.
Kevin Harlan and Gus Johnson are BY FAR the best two play-by-play announcers in sports. Mike Tirico is third, but there is a decent gap between him and those two.
@@fprosk Kevin and Gus call more sports than just hoops. that's not a slight on Mike, cuz he's quite good at what he does, but those three are better for that reason.
I was at this game and the crowd reaction was every bit what it looked and sounded like on TV. I was out of my seat after that dunk too. Even putting aside that it was a 15 seed beating a 2, that was some game to watch.
I was having that discussion yesterday, thats why I'm here at the moment, but that Markquis Nowell-Keyontae Johnson vs MSU has to be better than that right now
What looked like a mess became the highlight of the entire tournament. The play, the moment, the game--get them all to add up and you have a keeper for the ages. Scared my wife when I jumped up and yelled.
I was at this game, we all went apeshit for this. Also the fact that FGCU are the Eagles and it was Philly was huge, we chanted E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES! for large chunks of the game.
one of the underrated parts about this play, this game, and March Madness in general are the great play-by-play and color guys who call the games. Kevin Harlan nails the call of this play, plus having Gus Johnson, Verne Lundquist, Clark Kellogg, Bill Raftery, Ian Eagle, Jim Nantz, etc. doing the games takes things to another level. Of course, Reggie Miller is the exception to the rule; great basketball player, mediocre (at best) announcer.
Text book use of passing to break a press. Followed up by a play from the playground. If you want to see the biggest fail at breaking a press in tournament history, then check out Stanford-Rhode Island, Midwest Regional Final, 1998. Great steal, followed up by a two handed dropping of the anvil.
This was when Georgetown had to KNOW they was going to lose...when he threw it up I was like "oooooo, that was a bad....OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH MYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!"
I'm from WV, honestly had no clue Fieler was from Parkersburg till now. I remember people mentioning someone from that team was from WV but didn't remember who. Wherever he's playing pro basketball at now (probably over seas), I hope he's doing the same stuff
The noise the crowd makes when something like that happens is just amazing. And man, the last time I saw something that white so far above the ground, it was a cloud.
As a Georgetown fan this is painful. But at the same time I couldn't help but be amazed by the athleticism of these guys in this game. I'd like to see them go far in the tourney
This is Brett Comer's Kodak Moment!!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!! Comer will have many more of these Kodak Moments next season, even without Andy Enfield, who left the beaches of Ft. Myers for the beaches of Los Angeles.
Dude got more hops than a brewery. You don't expect a #15 seed to pull out some And1 mixtape ish DURING CRUNCH TIME and pull it off. These cats can ball.
Kevin Harlan is awesome doing the play be play. He makes this great play even better with his call. Imagine if Joe Buck was doing the play by play? He would make this alley oop and dunk sound dull and lifeless, by comparison.
It is actually physically impossible to watch this video only one time.
get the papers get the papers same thing with the Ali faroukmanesh shot. Sorry if it's spelled wrong.
I’m watching this during many years and I do not think that I will stop doing this soon ))
Truth!
FACTS
I thought it was a horrible pass when he threw the alley, then I yelled and jumped out of my seat when he threw it down. All time great tournament moment.
Will Hartley it WAS a horrible pass .... that's why the dunk was so great. lol
@@dhinton1 how was it bad?
@@blessd24 too far away from the hoop. Just because the guy handled it doesn't mean it was good.
Wyansas, I'm pretty sure that they knew each other and the passer knew what the dunker was capable of doing. 👍🏀
he knows what his team mate is capable of@@alexfoster7472
Kevin Harlan is amazing
Very underrated play by play announcer.
Kevin Harlan and Gus Johnson are BY FAR the best two play-by-play announcers in sports. Mike Tirico is third, but there is a decent gap between him and those two.
@@dhinton1 don't disrespect Mike Breen like that
@@fprosk Kevin and Gus call more sports than just hoops. that's not a slight on Mike, cuz he's quite good at what he does, but those three are better for that reason.
@@dhinton1 Gus over Harlan? You're crazy
This is one of the reasons why I love March Madness. You never know what to expect from these teams.
AMEN!
I wasn't expecting the dunks, but I did expect the Eagles (i.e. Dunk City) to win. The Hoyas are choke artists, and the Eagles were stacked.
*HE DROPS THE ANVIL!*
And here I am with my twisted mind thinking the said "And he drops the entrails" like he rips them apart or something...
The crowd reaction was the best
I was at this game and the crowd reaction was every bit what it looked and sounded like on TV. I was out of my seat after that dunk too. Even putting aside that it was a 15 seed beating a 2, that was some game to watch.
Woooooooo! (that part?)
I still can't get over that lob, absolutely no fear and a perfect delivery
If you ever have a bad day, just watch the replay of this game
Almost 3 years later, still watching this. And it's still the greatest tournament moment I've ever seen live. And the best alley-oop.
I was having that discussion yesterday, thats why I'm here at the moment, but that Markquis Nowell-Keyontae Johnson vs MSU has to be better than that right now
This is the ONLY dunk that has ever made me stand up on my feet.
As a Villanova fan, the fact that this happened to Georgetown makes this dunk so much better.
This will forever be one of the most iconic march madness moment of all time. The the throw down and the crowd/announcer reaction was amazing
Kevin Harlan makes this video all that much better
Yesterday was the ten year anniversary of this play. Still incredible to watch!
This play will go down as one of the most iconic moments of March Madness
I was at this game in Philadelphia. The way the whole crowd exploded with that dunk, you’d think it was Dr. J dunk back in the day for the 76ers.
That is maybe the most pleasing dunk I've ever seen
My favorite March Madness moment from this past year, from a Hoyas fan.
Still watching this one year later. One of the best opening round games I've ever seen.
the last nail in the coffin in that old game, you could see it on the GT bench (and fans).
What looked like a mess became the highlight of the entire tournament. The play, the moment, the game--get them all to add up and you have a keeper for the ages. Scared my wife when I jumped up and yelled.
When Jordan was at North Carolina never had a dunk like this neither did Vince carter... best tournament dunk ever
This has got to be in the top 10 March madness moments.
I was at this game, we all went apeshit for this. Also the fact that FGCU are the Eagles and it was Philly was huge, we chanted E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES! for large chunks of the game.
I get chills every time... That was the best dunk I've ever seen in a game that wasn't the Globetrotters or during an NBA all-star game. Totally sick!
Ten years later, still remains one of the most iconic March Madness moments in recent memory.
one of the underrated parts about this play, this game, and March Madness in general are the great play-by-play and color guys who call the games.
Correction: Reggie Miller was an amazing basketball player, and a truly horrid announcer.
Especially Kevin Harlan and Bill Raftery.
I agree with all except for Raftery.
Text book use of passing to break a press. Followed up by a play from the playground.
If you want to see the biggest fail at breaking a press in tournament history, then check out Stanford-Rhode Island, Midwest Regional Final, 1998. Great steal, followed up by a two handed dropping of the anvil.
Twenty years of watching the tournament and this is the greatest thing I've ever seen.
Still gives me chills to this day
This. Is. Awesome!!!! Smiling so big watching this as well as their other highlights from that game!!!! Love March Madness so much!!!!!!!!
This was when Georgetown had to KNOW they was going to lose...when he threw it up I was like "oooooo, that was a bad....OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH MYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!"
This was one of the best in game ally-oop's I've ever seen!!!!!
top 5 March Madness moment of all time
One of the best plsys EVER
I loved watching this upset take place. I can't believe that was 10 years ago!
WOW!!!! this is what happens when you take a team lightly ...they'll light your ass up every time!!!!!...and no can call a game like Verne Lunquist!!!
I'm from WV, honestly had no clue Fieler was from Parkersburg till now. I remember people mentioning someone from that team was from WV but didn't remember who. Wherever he's playing pro basketball at now (probably over seas), I hope he's doing the same stuff
I can watch this all day
I can't stop watching this!
2021 March Madness starts today so I had to watch this
The day Dunk City came into the universe. Gotta love March Madness!!
I get the chills everytime I watch this!..Wow...Congrats to FGC...
i rewatched this dunk so many times that the game was probably over by the time i continued on watching
The noise the crowd makes when something like that happens is just amazing. And man, the last time I saw something that white so far above the ground, it was a cloud.
Just plain beautiful
What UMBC did was amazing, but this was still the best upset game ever
UMBC Virginia was a bigger I think though
Everyone rocking the super long shorts. Love it
I can't stop watching this!!!!!!!!
I still remember watching this team, they were exciting. Can’t name a single player they had though lol
He went way up there to get that lob. Didn't think he had that kind of hops. Amazing!
This is one of the sickest in-game dunks i've ever seen!
Heh, white guy to white guy
AHHHHHHHHHH THAT GAME MADE ME CRY
my first ever tournament game, an incredible game to be at
One of the best dunks of all time!
Like a sir.
You know you've done something special when all the Georgetown coaches got up to check that out.
Scott Graham on Dial Global radio had just two little words to sum up that alley-oop...OH MY!
Could you imagine Gus Johnson calling this?
They were awesome to watch!
Wow, that basket by FGCU was AWESOME!
Reggie’s laugh is what I’ll always remember as well.
That was seamless. I'm at a loss for words, honestly.
Always one of the iconic 15 seed teams I think of
As a Georgetown fan this is painful. But at the same time I couldn't help but be amazed by the athleticism of these guys in this game. I'd like to see them go far in the tourney
This is the greatest march madness dunk. Undebatable.
This went absolutely off in an LA sports bar
This is Brett Comer's Kodak Moment!!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!
Comer will have many more of these Kodak Moments next season, even without Andy Enfield, who left the beaches of Ft. Myers for the beaches of Los Angeles.
The Trojans offered Enfield a king's ransom. Almost everyone would have called him a fool if he turned down a $1,500,000 raise.
the bar i was at exploded when he threw that down.
So good
The sound it made...
Mic dropped!
Great dunk
It’s almost that time fellas
Kevin Harlan rules, and so did that dunk!!
man forget the dunk the court vision by the point guard is what made this spectacular in my oppinion
i saw a picture from a dunk he had earlier this year where he's jumping over a guy and his he's almost eye level with the rim.
I thought the lob was going to be too high, but Comer knew exactly what Fieler could handle. Great a-o on the part of both players.
This was a Gus Johnson moment.....can only imagine his reaction.....
Techno Kid 84 Kevin Harlan did a great job with this.
Perfect a-o.
Watched this at least 100 times...
I love this.
He doesn't need an alarm clock to get up.
Highlight of the tourney so far!
How many people after that Kevin Harlan call pictured an anvil falling on Georgetown like a cartoon anvil falling on Wil-E Coyote?
10 years later and Georgetown has never recovered!
Dude got more hops than a brewery. You don't expect a #15 seed to pull out some And1 mixtape ish DURING CRUNCH TIME and pull it off. These cats can ball.
That was sick. Takes notes gentlemen.
Brett comer reminds me of Jason kidd the way he plays.
This is awesome! Play of the tourney thus far..
This is what March madness is all about best one by far in a long time 3 mid majors plus Miami fl and Oregon in the sweet 16 its open season.
Ball was still going up when Fieler caught it 😭 The announcer wasn’t kidding, dude really just threw it up there.
Kevin Harlan is awesome doing the play be play. He makes this great play even better with his call. Imagine if Joe Buck was doing the play by play? He would make this alley oop and dunk sound dull and lifeless, by comparison.
This tournaments been amazing so far-even though my brackets been completely destroyed
They lost 10 games, didn't win the regular season title in a lousy conference, and had to win the tourney to get in. That's how!
Sick
i don't know if I've ever watched one dunk so many times
How does this not have more views, since this is one of the best plays in history of the tourney!! Suck it Georgetown, Go Cuse'!
I am usually never impressed with dunks.. but he went beast mode lol nice!
NEVER GETS OLD WATCHING ! CINDERELLA TEAM
Enjoyed the vid!
