I just had this problem at house and changed the TXV. And the low stayed at 190 very close to what you got. Glad to see this video. Thanks bro I just subscribed 👍
Fuck I just diagnosed the same issue as a bad txv.
Low pressure at 190?
Such pressure only went down 30psi , still pretty high pressure in my book. Good job

I am working on a 2 ton York 410A scroll. Someone else in my co. Diagnosed a bad compressor. I just replaced compressor Symptoms are still present. Close to normal head pressure about 318 and suction 229. We are coming back tomorrow with a thermal expansion valvexpansion valve but I think it's the Piston in there that's causing the problem
You either have a txv or a piston. Not both. If it’s a heat pump look at the reversing valve. Your super heat and sun cooling will tell a better story. The only way I can think of an expansion valve would cause this is if the bulb isn’t secure to the suction pipe.
Someone probably forgot to install the piston

On old 10 seer units you would shoot for 30 saturation over ambient. With new higher efficient systems it’s more like 15 to 20.

Overcharged? I have same issue but the low pressure is so high it blew my manifold gaskets

It’s a Turbo Torch. You don’t need oxygen, just acetylene.

This was a scroll compressor so no. And if it was a recip with a bad valve the pressure differential would be

I'm new to the page . But maybe you can help me 7000.00 .
I had a repairman come look at why all of a sudden my heat pump is short cycling . They put on a meter similar to yours . But the psi was over 500 on both high and low and the temp was over 200 . I'm not sure if I'm being taken advantage of . The house is 8 years old and the heat suddenly stopped . They wanna replace everything including the air handler but they aren't sure of the problem . "Maybe a clog" . If you could help with some advice I'd appreciate it . Thank you
Sounds like they hooked up the gauges wrong.
Are they checking it in heat and getting 500 psi?
Is the system R410a?
This is an easy problem to pin point. I would Call another company and ask for a free second opinion.
Study the basic Refrigeration cycle and these problems won't throw you a curve.
Don't do what this guy did with pushing in the contactor with bare fingers. Always use an insulated screwdriver. A lot of people have gotten a good shock this way from carbon buildup on the contactor. Many ways to get electrocuted by having a hand so close to live power. Electricity is no joke.

If didn't have a piston. How did it work all this time this is not a new system.
I’ve seen it. The system will still meter through cap tubes
However if you watch the whole video it turned out to be the reversing valve. In this case.
The music could definitely be removed not everyone likes EDM
