What I filled it out want over charged but AC so wasnt working, went to check the pressure sheet and then it was over filled, so I tipped the the low pressure cap to relive pressure for a second at a time and then it started working. Love my neighbor he comes over every time he sees me working on my pos Cadillac and he's a retired mechanic but I don't think he knows how to work on newer cars because half the time he's really helpful but then some of the time he makes the issue worse. They make these new cars so damn complicated I remember when you used to change a battery so you did was take the old one out and put the new one in, now you have to tap the brakes, open and close windows and follow a whole process that nobody seems to reliably know and now my speakers don't work
It's easy to change yourself. But you will need a way to pull a vacuum when you're done. Harbor freight sells least expensive air compressor hose fittings and the compressed air ran vacuum pump.
Thank you, I thought it was just some guy who didn't want his accent on camera but its totally a chat gpt answer put into a video for easy views... Didn't notice until I read this.
I hate these stupid fake AI voiced videos. But cause #2 was the problem so the stupid video worked. My wife's car A/C was way overcharged and wasn't working. High side PSI off the chart. The compressor was turning, clutch engaged. Let out hot air for probably 20 seconds while the car wasn't running until Freon started spraying. Started the car and revved it up. Checked pressure again, off the charts. Repeated the process. More hot air for several seconds until Freon spray. Started it up again, revved it. turned it off, checked pressure and it dropped from off the charts to 50% into red. Repeated the process three times, cold air started to return after second pressure release. Probably repeated this process 5 times until pressure was right at the green red line. AC blowing ice cold now. For the record, I didn't have a manifold set. Just the universal cheap low side pressure gauge that came with one of the big refill bottles that was $40. It was good enough. Thought I was going to have to fork out $500 and work all night to replace the compressor. I never jack with the expansion valve because it usually means pulling out the dash. Sometimes the dryer tank if it's easy to get to. Never had a replacement compressor fail within several years. This Jeep Compass is 12 years old, never had a compressor fail.
I am getting a high reading of 80 psi and still blowing warm air. Every now and again i can hear a click from the engine/air con and the dial will slightly go down and then back up to 80 again. Any ideas??
The way I learned is to very briefly short out the low pressure cutoff switch - you can unplug the connector and stick a paperclip in between the two contacts. Be very careful doing this and do not leave the jumper in place for more than a few seconds. DISCLAIMER: I am not responsible if you ruin your A/C system. Or just take it to a pro.
When done properly, the ac system will be under vacuum therefore the refrigerant will be sucked out of the first can and will be enough to cycle the compressor
What are the odds that all of the car ac parts go bad at the same?

You saved me a lot of money and stress! Thank you so much!
You're welcome!!
I was told my hugh preddure hose has a leak on my golf mk4. Is it easy to change myself or better for a professional

chatgpt was a mistake
Damn right. This sucks and we’re all f’d. 🤬

That's a good Information
Thanks for watching
My low sides too high and high sides too low. 😔 I need a new compressor

low refregerant. vaccum and recharge again. if the compressor is clicking then system is functional and just low on freon.
Did you fix it ?
Freon: How do you add Freon when the compressor won't turn because of low freon?
Pressure Switch: bypass me to turn me on

You have to jump the ac compressor relay, use a fusible link rather than paperclip

It’s simple. Bad compressor valve or compressor.
Bro what are these prices I payed like 50 dollars to buy a new ac fan and put it on 😭
Worst video ever
video kinda sucks if you're just trying to figure a few things out, yes it will blow hot air, thanks
.
good info, but god that voice over :(
Sorry for the annoying voice over … new video version will be edited. But I’m glad the content was informative
