They should have done it from the beginning so that you can join any faction in the game. You could be able to join for example the Silver Hand and you would start a faction quest line in which you need to destroy the Companions etc.
Agreed. They had potential with the Silver Hand, to be honest. Even if the Companions couldn't be taken down, even though that's a cool idea for the Lore, (have Nords see Ysgramor’s group be defamed, all while Talos Worship is being attacked and all that, heavy blow to moral) have the Silver Hand be a Faction taking down werewolves, maybe be allied with Vigilants of Stendarr, or the Vampire hunters at Fort Dawnguard, as they'd be hyped to still do stuff they would be doing as Companions, and aiding Nords and allies in the defense of Skyrim
While the Thalmor is good for man, to guide them the correct path and to maintain order, while man cannot they are like children and savage to maintain simple order, man needs to be guided and to be shown the error of their ways, such as the worship of a “God” that was just a man nothing more, The Thalmor knows that and shall help man to make sure they grow.

In the end you will not destroy the Companions, but the Circle, and the Werewolf curse. And reforge Wuuthrad.... and save Kodlak's soul :D
You are a Thalmor agent, right? Well, my next mod are going to about you lol. Basically I want to play as an Thalmor agent as well... and "fix" the main quest and the College quest to be consistent with this choice.

Hopefully the Thalmor get better PR next game, though I doubt it, sadly. At least more mods for Thalmor or Pro-Dominion/Mer supremacy NPC's would be nice
And yeah, the Silver Hand wanting to get rid of the Werewolves but not all the Companions makes for a good story as well, considering the Lore points towards that effort.

Read what Tiber Septim (Talos) did to Summerset Isles. Then, it will make more sense why Thalmor (and almost all Altmers) choose to despise the empire.
If the orcs were organized they would be one of the great factions in Tamriel.
Their beliefs keeps them from being an actual nation.

Yes! I can officially join the Aldmeri Dominion! My Thalmor spy will be most pleased. I RPed as a Thalmor Agent and started with Thalmor option for Live Another Life mod.
Anyone siding with the Thalmor should be on an FBI watchlist.

The last Thalmor that said that to me ended up being banished to the Coldharbour and probably becoming a plaything of Molag Bal.

Everytime Aldarilar says good, he just reminds me of Palpatine. The Civil War is like the Clone Wars, Ulfric is kind of like Count Dooku. The Empire would be the Republic, and the Aldmeri Dominion would be the Sith Empire I guess. Then there is the Dragonborn who would be the Chosen One to bring balance, like Anakin. Meanwhile MV is Obi Wan. Zero.....28:40 Your character looks like Anakin Skywalker when he turned evil......those yellow eyes gleaming with anger.....
I watched some of the first play and now watching some of the second play. I will hold off on the ending as I will play this mod and want some surprises. But, I may watch more of this play as I will not likely play the Thalmor side. So, thank you for showing both sides. Not many authors give us these options. It is especially generous of you to show both as well.
I really appreciate the time and effort that goes into these videos as they require not only a lot of time and effort to play the mod but also extensive hours to edit as well. Your mod plays are always first rate with detailed looks at the mod, it's function, gameplay and npc's that is always fun and informative as well. You also employ real situational humor without detracting from the serious settings that often occur. I had a good, much needed laugh when you attempted to free the captive skeleton. That's real humor that is genuinely funny. Always enjoy that about you.
In short, George, I love the channel! I am so happy that you survived the cancer. Loosing your talent at such a young age would've been tragic and a critical loss to the modding community. Besides, you always come across as the type of person I would gladly befriend and hang out with IRL. So, I'm always glad to find you here. Bravo!

I loved being a mage. The spell Ignite is the best fire spell in the game when combined with other perks imo. Can do massive DoT damage even on hardest difficulty.

About whether it's Justiciar or Justicar, I just listened to Elenwen. She's the highest ranking Thalmor officer in Skyrim, and she said Justi-CI-ar, so I guess that's the formally correct one... and so I continue saying it as Justi-CAR just to spite her. LOL
I feel it would have been more interesting if you set the Stormcloaks as the winner of the civil war.

“We’re trying to keep it on the down-low”!? They thought that using an urban slang idiom that arose in the 2000s was the right thing to using in a pseudo-Roman world?
Something about hearing an Imperial Legate use phrases such as "Big Time" and "Down Low" makes my eye twitch. All in all I was pretty impressed with this mod, although there were some pretty serious flaws in the author's understanding of the lore. High marks overall though, well worth the play through.

Amazing mod, will have to try this out, I only wish they would have had the quests at the Thalmor Embassy.

If the Thalmor invaded Cyrodiil, the Imperial Legion and the Stormcloaks would immediately call a truce and fight together against their common enemy.
I like the courier more in this mod. Because they can defend themselves more.
I used to play a battle-axe Nord warrior... then I discovered the power of a brawler/archer sneaky khajiit, or at least I thought I did... Until I discovered True, Unlimited, POWER!

Wish Skyrim had so many more choises, be it with Forsworn, Orcs, Thalmor, Falmer, Giants, Goblins, Silver hands and so many more but so much cut content and neglect etc
They didn't use console commands, they just did smithing, reset, smithing takes about 2 hours to get to 400

Since I play as a high elf on Skyrim, I have a right mind to get this mod, but the only problem with wanting this mod and the mod that helps in Speechcraft is not knowing how bad the game would freeze or lag.

This mod is not that realistic.. or in concordance with the lore. For example invading and conquering south of cyrodiil bribing border guard when the Emperor clearly has it's iron grip on this matter personally and placed and built a lot of forts around the border. So the Thalmor would have a hard time conquering the south without a good fight plus the Penintus Oculatus is far more harsher than the Blades and they've got agents all around the legion forts so bribes would be really reallly hard let's not forget the reformed navy.

tamriel is elves continent nords just came from different continent and killed all snow elves skyrim is snow elves homeland they but killed them all and thinks that aldmeri dominion is evil
All elves are from Aldmeris; Redguards are from Yokuda; the Nords, Imperials and Bretons are descended from Atmorans; but the Khajiit and Argonians are from Tamriel. Therefore, what you just said is wrong and the beast-races should rule Tamriel, using your logic.

I named my altmer Mannimarco and established a necromancer guild with the Guild Master mod too. Also got Undeath and Immersive Lichdom so I could be a lich. I'm planning on joining the Thalmor with the 2nd Great War mod and am just psyched to be destroying the Legion which is who I sided with in the Civil War. Lore wise I know Mannimarco may not have sided with any of those factions but I just wanted to destroy armies and raise them as a lich for fun. Should be a blast; in some cases quite literally
