The jurors did not condemn this man. He condemned himself by his actions.
And oh by the way - the jurors saw everything that no one else saw except LE, the prosecutors, the defense attorney, and the murderer.
So it wasn’t “slightly traumatic.” It was horrific.

The way the state of Idaho fashioned the calculation of the death sentence is supposed to take away that burden on the jury, of Chad being put to death.
They simply had to answer a list of questions. They answered those questions honestly. That's the end of their responsibility.
The jury didn't sentence Chad to death. Idaho law did.
And Idaho law sentenced Chad to death because of HIS actions and intentions.

Something can be traumatic or traumatizing without it causing PTSD.
They had warning, & their lives weren’t in jeopardy. Those are factors that cause PTSD. Otherwise every single police officer, paramedic, fireman experiences Complex PTSD every day they work.

    • @fraukie1598
      @fraukie1598 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      By choice.
They could also have chosen to be decent people.
If they said at jury selection:
"No, I could never lower myself to the same level of Chad Daybell and decide who is worthy of living, I plan to be a better person .. so no thank you."
And none of them would have to do that.
They ALL where there by choice, some for the fame of a high profile case (a few of those interviews, maybe a book and they will dry their tears just fine with dollar bills).
Some of them might jump gladly on this opportunity.. deciding who deserves to live and who is send to be executed without ever having to answer for it in court..
Has to be tempting for quite some people.
They are adults and were given a choice.
Their own utter disregard for human live, appetite for fame or lust for the power of sending a human to his death brought them here, not some "dark fate they couldn't control".

Media needs to remember that the jury only decided if aggravating factors as explicitly defined were applicable, and were not mitigated.
The jury DID NOT sentence anyone. The judge applies that penalty based on the law. I know it’s still heavy with the jury but please make sure to hold media accountable for accuracy in reporting. These reporters did a better job than most.

That cult he created needs to be barred, disbanded, stopped!! after all it was part of Chad's insane reason, to kill those kids and his wife because he thought they were dark. 🙄😞...I hope and pray Chad is NOT allowed to run that from prison with how ever much time he has left.

He created his cult in order to have a basis for killing the people he wanted out of the way. Not the other way around. He wanted to have this fantasy life and was able to find ppl who he could manipulate into believing him. It’s strange that anyone doesn’t understand that.
He didn’t kill because he “thought they were dark” he made them dark so he had a reason to kill them.
      Completely different motive.

The LDS church leadership needs to step up and weed out these people, but it won't because the church get too much money from them. The money and power motivation highlighted by the prosecution goes deep into the mormon church.

I met two people who sat on Jury's. One in Texas and the other in Georgia. Both were capital cases and both defendants were found guilty, today both sentences have been carried out. I have spoken to both spouses. Both changed over the years. The night Georgia carried out the orders of the Judge this juror had a lot of family and friends around them but still spent many hours talking to their Church Pastor. When it comes to this subject I really wish people would start thinking in terms of these jurors are just more victims of the now-convicted defendant!

I would be so proud if I were any one of them. Chad would not have stopped. He would continue with the people who still follow his beliefs and Im sure, find another "Ray Lamarr" in the bunch to continue his and Loris' blueprint.
If you read these comments....to all the jurors sitting there, I would have done the same,,,you all did a phenomenal job and you will find your peace when you realise how many potential lives...of children as well....could still be robbed.

The jury didn’t condemn this man he did so with his own actions. I know someone else said this but it’s worth repeating. One big take away from the trial is I wonder if his children who clearly lied on the stand will be charged with the crime. She is also a teacher and works in a school. As such she’s supposed to be the protector of children and look what her own father said. He’s an absolute monster and she got up there to defend him. Her voice was difficult to listen to she’s much like her dad. I didn’t listen to his son because their voices make them sound very ignorant. As a teacher you’re a mandated reporter, How can we trust her to protect the children under her care for so many hours a day during the school year. She sends her kids out to play and thinks nothing of living in a murder house.

Please don’t interview the jurors, when they did Lori she came back and tried to lessen her sentence because of the things the jurors said. They are better to be quie5 and unknown

That was because of a misunderstanding. They thought he watched a documentary before the verdict, but he watched it after the trial was over. Nothing he said about the trial caused that, just a confusion about his timeline. It's common for jurors to be interviewed after trials, and it's totally allowed

These jurors never have to feel guilty about anything especially sentencing daybell to death. He showed no remorse at all. Justice has been served. I hope one day judge boyce talks about this case and how he's delt with it. He's seen everything with both trials he's presided over

  • @SheezaPI

The aggravating circumstances were all there. This is one case the Dp was deserved.Lori Vallow lucked out not facing it, because so fully believe she would have been sentenced to death as well. And if Alex wouldn’t have died, he would’ve been tried and sentenced to it as well. I think Alex knew that and the guilt ate him up.
