@Halunlimited Good to hear from you Hal, I'm still waiting to see you upload a video with a custom drum loop ;) I actually recorded a tutorial some time back but had problems with video software that were never resolved. I also need to get myself a new cameras as I was borrowing a friends and had to give it back... Next pay day, I'll look into getting a camera and I can get back into making more tutorials.
Hi Dan. It's been a while. You did a real nice job on the camera position here and your voiceover is great too. I'd also be interested in the arpeggio tutorial mentioned by someone else, so I'll look forward to seeing it. BTW, your demo tracks here sound quite cool so it looks like you've got a good performance song here that you could show off. Rock on. Hal
@maltcus It's actually my friends song. He often comes to me for any solo's and synth parts. He's actually on my friends list if you want to ask him yourself. Just mention the guitar/Fantom X solo and he should know...
I gotta say man....... this just made my day!!!! I been doin wrong since 2006 two-mother uffcki thousand uffckin six MAN!!! rrrgghh... Much appreciated!!!
@TVJBlaze In my current set up I don't use any software so I only use a usb cable to the pc to transfer data (backing up samples etc), no MIDI data goes to the computer in my set up or to export a song to the computer.
@TheAfrochef19 The pattern mode in the Fantom X sequencer is where you place MIDI data that you want to trigger via realtime phrase sequencing. I could do a more indepth tutorial on RPS at some point if you like but I have a few other videos higher up the list.
@GREGCAST70 Okay, I've got a free day tomorrow. There's a video I was planning to do on recording with a real guitar using fantom's fx, and saving the song. If I can, I'll record an arpeggio tutorial for you as well and hopefully get them uploaded mid week.
@LadyonKeys I would assume the user bank of your fantom's memory has reached its full capacity. If it's saving a sample that you're doing, try unloading all other samples that you dont need. Let me know if this helps at all. Dan
@OGEMRE1 Just so I'm aware of what you've got so far... You've finished doing the midi sequence, want to mix it down to an audio track. You hit reset to skip back to the first measure and then go to the sampling screens. Then choose resample, hit start sampling, and then play the sequence. Then it says memory full?
Hi, Do you still use your Fantom X? I still use mine. I was wondering if you know where we could find detailed information on creating and/or editing custom patches within the Fantom X. Question: My understanding is that the Fantom's mode of synthesis is PCM, and not actually subtractive. Does this make it harder or less program friendly? Thanks!
This is my only sample that I've done on this board. I'm extremely new to this and I'm trying re-sample this track for my father.

Thanks for the tutorial! Great vid!
@GREGCAST70 It's quite alright. If there are any topics on the Fantom X, MIDI, sampling etc etc that you'd like me to make a vid on, let me know.
I would like to know how to map the loops your created to your pad bank
that way i can alternate the loops when im recording. please help.

i want to save sampling on card, but in the card mode there's only write 32Mb ,but my card is 2Gb ,what's the problem?
Hey Dan curious how you can hook the Fantom x8 to a pc to record straight to a particular PC software i.e. cakewalk or Audition?
When I press play to record my sample nothing records, what should I do? It blinks 'Now Sampling but nothing records. Thanks
@jayrx7rotor It's quite alright, if there's anything you need a tutorial on, let me know and I'll see what I can do

I'm connected by midi cables, will this not work? Do I have to have a usb to usb cable?
do you have any MIDI cords hooked up to a software? what if my songs don't open up on my computer. I have a macbook Pro
