- Quarken is a brand from Finland that I have grown to appreciate. In this video I plan to demonstrate this new Quarken 35 Sport Tourer and explain why I believe many of you who have owned sports cruisers with less deadrise and fuller bows will appreciate how much easier it is to drive a hull design like this Quarken both in the ocean and across some of the choppy lake conditions in Michigan USA.
I'm specifically highlighting Michigan because I was stopped at FLIBS by around 10 boat owners from Michigan who all told me about conditions on the lake and your desire for a boat that can handle short waves more comfortably. Same goes for anyone wanting to cross from Miami to the Bahamas or Mallorca to Ibiza. This boat will do that job very well for you and entertain a great number of guests while also being perhaps the best adventure hull to park that I have featured on the channel. This is due to the variable speed thruster intergration with the Yamaha joystick which we demonstrate in Part 2 the test drive video.

@@BoatLife_DansBoatLife I think he meant how you pronounced Finland, emphasizing "land" in Finland. Maybe that's just the way Australians tend to speak. Finland is usually pronounced more like if you type Finland in google translate and click on the speaker icon. Of course in Finnish Finland is called "Suomi". So I'm not sure there is a correct way to say Finland.

Only Yamaha and it is worth getting the noise reduction kit if you plan on running at WOT. Otherwise it's one of the best boats to manouver around the dock as the Yamaha joystick works with the variable speed thruster FYI.
Nice hull design, would like to see how it cuts through big waves.

How does it work when it comes to immigration? example, coming from a different country to another country? I hope you could make video about it... and would you need a visa aside from passport?
I'm not sure i understand? If you mean crossing by boat yes you would need to exit with customs and then check in at the new port of entry. My buddy and I do plan to drive his new boat from Key West to Belize so I can show some of that one day in the future.
Where's all the radar stuff usually found on the roof
This area has a lot of low bridges so you'll find some people will opt for no radar mast so they have more flexibility getting under the bridges.

it is more a like a day boat... not for stay over night.
Yeah just for occasional overnights seems more logical on this boat.
Great boat, but there are many better American made day boat options. I think they will struggle to sell a lot of these.
Loads of great US options, i'm trying to film many of them to post on this channel. These hulls are very different to many US boats and i've done my best to explain that in the next video.
