Unfortunately, I got scammed on a vehicle I bought from the North Boston Copart. They hid the damage much better than they did on the car in this video. It had a clear title so I thought they couldn't be much damage. Even though I looked at the pictures several times, I missed a couple of things. Anyway, when the vehicle was delivered, it was terrible and had frame damage in the front and rear and they had fixed and repainted the decklid so that it looked like it wasn't hit in the rear. I learned afterwards that rental car companies don't report damage which is why the car still had a clear title. I had to run the vehicle back through the auction but I explained the damage was there. I lost $7000. This was supposed to be a car that I was sending my daughter to college with so the scammers stole my money and placed a significant hardship on our family.
They could add at least $10 to the value if they would use the torx head drywall screws. I myself won't buy a vehicle held together with phillips, torx head just looks so much better!
This actually cheered me up. I have lost good bids to public neophytes for years - and even after getting burned, these guys still come a dime a dozen - so here's to letting them look at pictures on their cell phones, oblivious to auction fees and hidden damage........just hope these guys don't breed.
The belt is not on the top around the water pump or idler pulley because the water pump is pushed in and bent up as is the idler pulley. So the radiator and support definitely went all the way back to the engine.
And it will never stop..... they have a lot going for them as insurance can't eat or hold onto these piles of junk. A scrapper can't even really make the big dollars without some kind of way to guarantee engine, transmission, ect are a good sellable item
They probably use a sheet of Luan plywood from HD to make that passenger airbag cover. They probably grabbed a sheet while they were buying a box of drywall screws.
Hey Scott! Those cars I wouldn’t even buy good wholesale 🤣. Either went to a chop shop with stolen parts or overseas. Hope your doing well after your mess earlier this year. Good videos 👍👍👍
I'd expect it to go what you call 'overseas'. On the highway (here in the Netherlands, where a lot of things for Europe arrive by port) I occasionally see a truck full of american auction cars heading to the cheaper labour parts of our continent.
I like these videos! And it’s crazy to think they went thru all that for 3k profit! But once you showed they have many other cars then makes sense every car adds up. But to go all out and cover up airbag deployment it’s SAD! And ashame These sellers don’t care they have no Conscience Or feelings. They stand behind that as IS sale!
If I remember correctly, I've seen an article somewhere that these Cayennes have headlights that are really easy to steal. With that cut harness, perhaps that's what happened to the driver's headlight.
The strangest thing to me is not the scammers, it's the fact such bland little people movers are popular. How did "style" decline so far and why do people settle for it?
Such a bonus car, no keys, no catalytic convertor, airbags gone bang. I want to bet it has had it's share of rainwater because windows are open too. Also did they use JB weld on that broken wheel? At least it looks like so :D
NO! That is not a Porsche. Its make in Slovakia. Have we become so vane as people, to buy a car just because of the branding, not because of what it actually is and can do?
There's Dr. Ferry Porsche and now doctored fairy Porsche. How did the clutch pedal land inside the front bumper? Those aren't ordinary drywall screws. Those are Porsche drywall screws to justify the five figure price.
Are these vehicles with front end frame damage ever worth actually repairing or are they always a total parts car after? It just seems vehicles are made cheaper nowadays so it would seem they total easily
Why is the ECU so corroded on a 2020 model when nothing else around it is? I suspect given the seller they've swapped it with a defective one and sold off the good one.
You can buy a 2017 CPO Cayenne for the SAME PRICE as this monstrosity, why would you even bother??? These sellers are crazy, get that $27k out of here.
Good car for Europe. Transfer to the Baltic states, Poland, etc. They are good in repairing cars like this. Maybe with parts from stolen cars. And then selled as new.
yes, there are ppl dumb enough to buy these vehicles. There's a fool born every minute. The biggest issue is people watch the rebuild videos and think they can do it too, not knowing what to look for. What I don't get is how copart allows it. Knowingly and repeatedly. I also don't get why state consumer protection agencies allow copart to do it. It is illegal to doctor up a vehicle in order to get a higher price. Even IF you say "as is".
If you know this about these sellers and what to look for . The people that buy these have to be new to the rebuilding game or watch other TH-cam rebuilders and think they can do it.
@@vehcor I was thinking of the statment "enhance, enhance" that I thought was coming from EricO. He is my favorit on the tube.. I will check out the Super Troopers. Thanks for a great channel!!
Don’t let the clean interior fool you into thinking its a low mileage vehicle. Most premium European models use high quality materials that don’t show much wear. Heck, even my 2020 Corolla with 251,000 miles could have passed for 50K. Believe me, if this Porsche had 20,000 or 30,000 miles, AND the engine ran good, you don’t think they would have spent the $300 or $400 for programming a knock-off key? And a Carfax report might give you an idea of the mileage from the service history, if any.
I hear several definitions of clear title. I would tend to believe a clear title would indicate there is no lien holder but not 100%. How do you define that please?
“There it is - the drywall screws! 😂😂😂”
I don't understand why they use em. Why even bother it looks worse
These scammers will try anything.

I wouldn't be surprised if they know the engine is damaged and that's why the keys are conveniently missing.
OnlyScams! 😂
Those fools put a lot of energy into doing things wrong.
The belt is not on the top around the water pump or idler pulley because the water pump is pushed in and bent up as is the idler pulley. So the radiator and support definitely went all the way back to the engine.
At 9:38 you can definitely see it.
Scott is a wealth of knowledge.
Like you said, a good parts car .... if the price was right.
The seller chose to hide their 83.3% positive feedback.... That's 336 pissed off buyers.
Good seeing you Scottie
I can’t imagine how this obvious fraud is not illegal.
They're not making any actual claims about the condition. Driving screws into your car isn't illegal.
Besides, these auctions are for professionals who should be able to tell all this.
@@moehoward01 every “repair” that they perform is an attempt to hide the severity of the crash that totaled the car. That’s fraud.
@matthewtaylor3308 Only if the make claim about the condition of the vehicle that is false. Obvious drywall screws aren't that.
Thank you for the closure part. Maybe revisit in a year or so
Maybe it'll show up on Arthur Tussik's channel... ha.
Thanks again as always and regards.

HEY! Hello Scott and thumbs UP!!!
You’re my hero. Keep exposing these a h
They probably use a sheet of Luan plywood from HD to make that passenger airbag cover. They probably grabbed a sheet while they were buying a box of drywall screws.
Great video enjoy watching keep up the great work
Man they keep getting worse! This would have been one to see the before the drywall screw treatment pix of. Thx Scott!
Always good info.

Like you said Scott,a parts car in all but name.
I'd expect it to go what you call 'overseas'. On the highway (here in the Netherlands, where a lot of things for Europe arrive by port) I occasionally see a truck full of american auction cars heading to the cheaper labour parts of our continent.
When using drywall screws, do you recommend teflon tape when attaching to the radiator?
Great little video as always, another one bites the dust.be safe 😎😎😎👍👍👍
I think I'll get a screw& zip tie store and set up in Fla. That way the body shops have enough replacements for these cars 😮
Love these scammer alert videos Scott buy a car from them if you’re doing a remodel and need some drywall screws.thanks John from Arizona
I wonder how much weight was put on the Porsche by using all those Drywall Screws? Good Video Scott & thanks for sharing 👍
Love the intro!
Maybe the buyer got a free porsche that had the back end run over by a train. 😂
I like these videos! And it’s crazy to think they went thru all that for 3k profit! But once you showed they have many other cars then makes sense every car adds up. But to go all out and cover up airbag deployment it’s SAD! And ashame

IT's them durn scammers agin!
Well ... there is another one born every minute. Proof is, someone bought this one.
So I'm rebuilding a wrecked car and having trouble getting filler to stick to drywall screws, should I use spray foam or ramen between the two ?
It's plyboard for the passenger side air bag, because its the best.
Lets be fair, the drywall screws probably didn't make the radiator any worse.
You missed the note, Catalytic converter missing :D
Only Scams! hahaha Love it.
83.3% positive feedback is a no no.
If I remember correctly, I've seen an article somewhere that these Cayennes have headlights that are really easy to steal. With that cut harness, perhaps that's what happened to the driver's headlight.
I knew it wouldn't be long until Scott got a OS account 😂
By the state of the front tyres with hardly any tread left should give you a clue to the lack of care the previous owners lavished on it.

The question that is burning me up is, how much is a 'key' for this thing?
You know what they say about "if you have to ask how much...."
This is another reason to go to copart lot to look at the car (don’t buy from out of state copart)
Do they think they'll get more for it with the drywall screws?
Buy one, repair it properly and show everyone just how much you could be in the hole if you did so. Would make great content 😊
Onlyscams… love it

@4:57 wow that steering wheel is sooooooo, oooooooooooo, oo bent.
Buying one of those is risky at best……buying a wrecked one would be grounds for committal to an institution…😜…what a POS!
I had a 3 year corporate lease on one. They are pretty dope.
@@Failure_Is_An_Option …yep…until the warranty runs out…
It would be interesting to see you patch up a car and dump it at auction Scott style.

Why is the ECU so corroded on a 2020 model when nothing else around it is? I suspect given the seller they've swapped it with a defective one and sold off the good one.
Drywall screws are cheaper by the box...
and even cheaper by the bucket.
These Cayennes have horrific depreciation
If somebody dies after that car gets put back on the road do they go after the original scammer
I see every time you're at that auction place, there's a cop car riding past. Are they there to check YOU out ?😀

Second time on your video from yards i saw a police car. What are they doing there ?
Buying cars ?
Or looking for those stealing keys ?
Was the key conveniently 'lost'?
If the driveline is stuffed then sell the car without keys so nobody can check it and someone might take a chance it’s ok
It had 24565 miles 081623, near Orland Park IL
What's wrong with them, they forgot to throw some screws in that flat tire.
I would have bought that car. I had a key made and put it right back to sale
How is this group in business? Certainly there aren’t people dump enough to buy from them

samcrac bought one of these for 700, not banged
This Porsche is pretty roached. What a mess!
what's it worth, $1,800 + box of dry wall screws and a bag of zip ties.
Their reviews are hilarious. So many 1 stars, and so many fake 5 stars LOL, Maybe they threatened people with drywall screws to leave 5 star reviews
6/1/24 last reported mileage 322
If you know this about these sellers and what to look for . The people that buy these have to be new to the rebuilding game or watch other TH-cam rebuilders and think they can do it.
I’d rather just buy a brand new Chevy Trax for this money. Perhaps the buyer has a similar vehicle with rear end damage that they got cheap.
