nahh idc if the writing is bad or sum shit, tasm's shots are easily some of the coldest ones, straight aura, and i think when rating a film we should be able to look into different aspects fairly, cause apart from the writing, the sounds, musics, cinematography are what separate films from books
But he died a hero... He died redeeming himself for what happened to Uncle Ben by saving his Aunt May. And in death, his actions as Spider-Man, his sense of heroism, his sense of responsibility and his heroic heart that saved and brought hope to so many people, inspired a little kid from Brooklyn to continue his legacy. MJ may have been proven right in the end, but his actions inspired someone else to be a hero in his stead. And that's honestly amazing...
If Amazing Spider-Man gave us nothing else, it gave us Andrew Garfield’s kickass costume, and the most aesthetically appealing visuals for a real life cinematic Spider-Man to date.

Personally, I think they should retire the Spiderman character entirely when it comes to live action. The fans hate it, it makes no money, the actors get sent death threats.
We could've had an adult Peter coping with loss and dealing with anger. Instead, we got a Spiderman rebirth, where 3 movies were spent developing his character only to end up nowhere because the actor got burnt out. Just another origin story with no end point. I genuinely think we should stop making Spiderman movies and convert them to live-action shows so more time can be spent to properly line out Peter's story, so we can end it and move on.
There's a lot of iterations of Peter dying, in almost all comics he never stops being Spider-Man similar to Batman and eventually dies from it either at old age or just a tough villain bests him
the second movie should've had peter worried about getting himself killed, then gwen dies, then spider-man lets go of the fear of dying and risks his life for people he loves and doesn't know.
@@adamdiablo8319 yes, but they should've shown more of that in the second movie. that was thrown to the side when they introduced harry, which was scuffed, and now it was the same old betrayal story instead of a story about reconquering the fear of death.
@@matti.8465 Yes but, like i said, we've already had that kind of story before. A lot of the criticisms of the the tasm movies is that it's too similar to the ones that came before it. It didn't serve more unique thematic purposes other than gwen's relationship with peter, which was more fleshed out. the second movie could've been about peter being so afraid to die, he cannot function properly as spiderman because his spidey-sense overloads what it perceives as danger maybe. this happens due to a brink-of-death moment in the beginning of the movie that could be caused by an overly powerful villain like mysterio. he holds back more because of this too. but when gwen dies, that's when he becomes more courageous to protect people again, finally realizing what more he could lose if he doesn't stop being afraid.
this spider-man should've gotten a symbiote ark, this is the spider-man that should've met black cat, miles morales, xmen and avengeres. like fr, when i try to imagine live action characters colliding, andrew's spider-man fits the best, anywhere. wasted potential
Exactly! Andrew's Spider-Man gives off the right Spider-Man vibe from the comics. When he puts on the mask, he's a funny, inspiring superhero, but when he takes it off, he's just a kid who lives with his aunt, a boy who has financial difficulties, lost his parents, his uncle, has responsibilities, that's why I really like Andrew, he gives off the right vibe.
Now I want The Amazing Spider-Man reworked into the Daredevil movie style, they were on the way in the first movie but didn't commit probably because it was too cringe at the time. But I'm ready now.
Tobey got the happy ending
Andrew got the sad ending
Tom got all the DLC'S
