- A new book written by Pranab Mukherjee’s daughter Sharmishta Mukherjee has brought back attention on the UPA years in power and on Rahul Gandhi. The book is based upon Mukherjee’s handwritten diary entries and his conversation with Sharmishta who had a brief stint as a Congress politician.
The book titled- “Pranab My Father - A daughter remembers’ makes multiple startling revelations. In an exclusive interview with Barkha Dutt, Sharmistha spoke about her father, his diaries and shared multiple anecdotes to give an insight into the UPA years.
BJP has started targeting the Congress over the new book and revelations.

Pranab Mukherjee has not been completely honest while writing his diary. If he had been, he would have then , without mincing words , declared Rahul as a hopeless case with negative IQ.

If Pranab Mukherjee had been India's PM then Congress would not have been in this situation. Because he would've not taken orders and upheld the chair of PM. I think MMS was very knowledgeable, and has very noteworthy contribution. But he lacked assertiveness. He was not even trying to be PM, he was very much out of his skin and that is what made him eligible from Sonia Gandhi's pov. Her position and power took over the interest of 1.4 billion Indians.

When UPA came to power for second term it was mainly because of Dr Man Mohan Singh. He was the prime ministerial face then. Dr Pranab Mukherjee has been a career politician and career politician dreams about holding the highest elected post. But what his daughter doing is unethical.

The vital point in all these is the issue of veracity. Question is whether what is said is factually or not. Rest, what panelists say are personal opinions of the panelists They make no difference for those who want to know the reality.

The press will run down someone who loses so long as it is not the BJP. Having 40% share still leaves a doubt on existence. Modi’s popularity hasn’t skyrocketed. If you have a biased Press biased Court biased EC a full force of Agencies a lopsided Electoral bond process a Teflon coated Leader who no one questions and even if one questions he won’t answer then even an ordinary person can be made to look like a Goliath.

Why is daughter publishing a private diary
Pranav Da and many others simply ignored that congress made him the President of India and those garnering limelight though recent allegations on Gandhi family ignores the fact that BJP has simply ghosted their very own Shri Advani, who was the man behind the party and promoted our current PM to the post of PM.
Nope, Advani never supported the current PM for the post of PM. Rather he wanted to be the PM himself which most of the members in the parliamentary committee of BJP never agreed to.
Secondly, he is not the only man behind the party, it is the collective responsibility. Current PM actually showed how much capable is he by being the 3 times CM of Gujarat.
Thirdly, Pranav ji was ignored because he couldn't be the PM after becoming President of India so Sonia ji wanted him to be out for good. So it is actually ignoring him from party's functions and what the govt is doing

Pranab Da would be the best PM India ever had. An absolute statist. The most India First PM we could have got. He would have shown the power of the Indian state to the Whitey, the Arabs, the Chinese. Unlike Modi who will either bow down or put up feeble resistance on international issues. Securing economic interests cannot come before protecting sovereignty.

Surprisingly, this video was like a black swan kind of video, on this platform. The reason I think is all participants including anchor were more straightforward than usual. But I wonder why no asks the question ‘if any other vice-president of congress had tore a copy of ordinance, would he or she have been elevated to the post of president? Or, would any disciplinary action have been initiated? Or what would have been the future of such a person in that party? Would other political parties reach out to such a person? These are the kind of questions that a common man would ask, perhaps.

Wow! The whole panel was intelligent. If there's a communication course on how debates should run, this is it. It had world-standard maturity, including a sense of humor. I get the feeling that Rahul is basically a nice fella, but politics and Rahul Gandhi are like handing over a machine gun to Mother Theresa. She wouldn't know what to do with it. In a well-known book about an Indian voter, there was an insightful reply given by a simple village guy. He said that it's not good to have just one paan-bidi shop in the village where it'll charge and sell or not sell anything, depending on its own interest. We need two shops to make sure they keep each other in check. The villager's point was- that we need two strong political parties in India. Rahul G. should know this basic democratic truth coming from a sensible common man in India. Zamindaari nahi chalegi, lekhin zamin pe chalo. PM Modi is too strong a leader for anyone to challenge his people- connect, charisma, oratory, and leadership skills and no one in the opposition has it - as it stands today. Call it a prophecy if you wish, only a woman leader can challenge him with the power of a diametrically opposite feminine charisma. Who? Why? It's for the political pundits to figure out.

Recently, I began tuning into Barkha's show. Despite my past criticisms of her, I must acknowledge her adept moderation of debates. The discussions on Congress's challenges and Rahul Gandhi's unwavering support for the loony left cabales (as described by Tehsin) shed light on why the party seems detached with ground reality and are more focussed on trolling than on doing any spade work. Despite the evident issues, Rahul Gandhi persists in leading the party, potentially steering it towards another massive electoral setback in the forthcoming Loksabha elections.
I have watched this clip 4 times. Bahut maja aatha hei in jokers ka meltdowon dedhne ke liye....Barkha still not have shame. She should sit at home and enjoy her retired life rather than thinking that RG will become PM one day..hahahhahahahhah
The biggest test for RG is that PM Modi and BJP fight all their elections on and against him only....it's no longer in jest anymore. They get serious to the point of taking his LS membership away. I wd say this is a success for RG on personal front. And pls don't burden the congress legacy in his head forever ...it's a new game now.

And the timing of these revelations also highlights that perfect sense of timing of the BJP. These revelations will sink the Gandhi's and without that cement the Congress is just an anarchic unruly set of crabs in a well. The Congress will get demolished faster than the speed of light.
So essentially the perfect timing will drive a stake through the Gandhis's and therefore the Congress.
And with the Congress gone, the BJP will essentially get a monopoly on power for a long time. With the timing of these revelations the BJP has made a brilliant move to finish off rhe Congress and make India a One Party State
