As an American who lived in India for nearly 50 years ago, I say in reality **India got independence on 26 May 2014.** India’s history: 1000+ years of barbaric Islamic colonialism, 200+ years of exploitative British colonialism, 60+ years of continued repressive poverty under Nehru klan + Leftists + Mullahs colonialism with License Quota Sharia corruption Raj. During this period with 3-4 % growth rate, one by one East Asian countries (Taiwan S Korea Singapore China) beat India out producing, out manufacturing, out building. Thankfully, it changed in 2014 with true liberation from scam gress with the election of its first prime minister, Narendra Modi. And it shows in Bhariyas’ confidence, accomplishments and expectations. Bharat’s economic growth rate since then has been averaging 6-8%. Make Bharat Great Again!! Go Bharat Go!! 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳 Be impatient, build more roads, bridges, tracks, manufacture more trains, planes, phones, electronics, grow more, fly higher.. Bharat is unstoppable.

In a Greenland ship I met one senior guy from Israel along with his family, friends. He asked me which is the best city in the world and I guessed all western cities which was wrong for him. He told me it s VARANASI (KASHI). He said he visited India many times and he loves Varanasi because of its unique spiritual atmosphere where one can see life in many facets at one spot, in one direction the colourful flowers market on streets, another side people praying in temple, another side people dipping in river and praying and another side dead burning. He said no where in world one can see such a multitude aspects of human life in one spot coexisting peacefully. He said he loves India and wants to travel southern India too. Needless to say I met many foreigners told me they loved visiting Kashi for the same spiritual vibe who also said India should preserve their ancient cultural heritage and I am yet to go although I travelled 7 continents from Arctic Greenland to Antarctica. I travelled all ancient temple towns in Tamil Nadu from north to south last time I was in India. There is lot more cultural heritage to explore.
Udaynidhi Stalin, Tamil Nadu state minister, son TN CM, said he is a proud Christian. Owaisi head of AIMIM party said he is a proud Muslim. But why is if current generation started to feel proud to be Hindu not just on paper on applications but in real life? In a free democratic country with freedom of faith all have equal rights to feel proud of their religions and as a whole the cultural heritage of India much older than the day it got freedom from British. Please dont make Hindu pride as a right wing fascism. Hindus are most secualar thats why they know Aurangzeb demolished mosques in Hindu holiest cities Kashi and Mathura and built mosques and Hindus go calmly to a temple next to them which was built long ago. Many such temples were destroyed to build mosques to show might of the then Islamic ruler, like Qutb ud din Aibak who wrote that 26-27 Hindu and Jain temples were destroyed and built there Quwwat ul Islam (Might of Islam). Hindus openly partake offerings from other religions even on Christmas an Eid as I did since as a kid with Muslim neighbours. My Muslim neighbours also took our food, ofcourse abiding our dietary preferences. Most people in India are peacefully following their faith and going on in life for basics like food, house, kids, etc. Its just that due to social media there is more awareness of Kashi and people got better finances nowadays so the young quickly book a trip and visit places including from south to north such as Varanasi. Irrespective of Modi, this would happen.

Let us take your point of 'them' being a spoiled brat.
Then, two questions to assess the validity of the claim will be:
      1. What material gain do 'they' seem to have made in terms of social presence in high-earning professions such as the bureaucracy, university teaching, medicine?
If they _were_ indeed afforded any 'privilege', they seem to have somehow not used it in the way you would expect people desirous of higher incomes to do. Do you dispute that?
      2. Are Indian Muslims really a 'them'? A block entity? Can we, sociologically speaking, put an upper class elite Shia Muslim man and a lower income Sunni Muslim woman in the same box? Do we lose out on facts-nuances, details, _the truth_ -by making sweeping generalizations?

Hindu resurgence is a term has a sound of incompletness in it when you don't speak of it in relative terms. On the lines of the Benaras Ganga aarti , I have have an anecdote of mine . Having lived in Kolkata for years I have always frequented the Newmarket area - during all times of the year. It is where people go to eat and shop. And there is always a sea of people who's religious background will never be on display. We go back as a family for a holiday in 2021, and during the month of July again visit new market. The place was filled with women in burkhas and men in skull caps. I was taken aback not because I have islamphobia, but because the fact that people suddenly had to now dispaly their religion on their sleeves. Of course we have always known that there is a mosque in the vicinity, never so on our face in a state that has pushed itself as most tolerant.
So my point is - there is a religious revival in all corners. One feels and very rightly so , that the Hindus are even more only because of the Hindus being a majority. Should one be apologetic about it ? I still am not clear about it because I think with such pride comes a sense of nonchalance. However lessons of tolerance and comparisons cannot be learnt by constantly asking to discount some behavior on the Minority card. Religion should be a very private affair. It shouldn't be out on the streets to display. However , when you use words like - Hindu Resurgence - without considering the resurgence in other religions practiced in India there will be a sense of unfairness brewing in the background.

The Government needs to focus on development of the country and Muslim leaders needs to focus on the development of Muslims by becoming part of the Government (even join BJP for the benefit of Muslims). Indians always accepted all religions, the last 1000 years are a testament to Sanatana Dharma, perhaps even in AD (Pre-Christianity or Pre-Judaism 1800 BC). Every communist leftist all of them are modern Jaichand. Hindus need to unite and become a strong single vote block so that necessary changes can be made without any resistance to break the ecosystem of these Jihadis. Otherwise divided Hindus will lose political sphere within 70-80 year. And we all know that when Muslims gain substantial political power another partition or civil war will arise. Today's Muslim population is 17-18 percent but due to global majority they have been very influential in Indian politics. Look at kerala and west bengal. These states are gone case majority of hindu in these states holds no relevance. And this gap will keep increasing every election

💯 Exactly. Why does the majority have to hide their identity, to make Muslims happy and secure?? Indians in general understand the cultural genocide that happened to the indigenous communities all over the world. And stand with these indigenous communities. But in India they are willing to commit cultural genocide on themselves? This poses two questions. Why would hindu's even consider this? And the second, why would Indian Muslims need the destruction or dilution of sanatana dharma to be comfortable? The only way that Muslims have CHOSEN to be secure is again is destruction of hinduism. That is a Muslim problem. Besides, every opportunity that has come up to mend bridges between hindu's and Muslims, always seems to result in the Muslim playing victims or aggressive. The ram mandir is a perfect example. This was an opportunity to heal the rift on a community level. But instead social media is full of Muslims attacking moderate Muslims that partaking of the celebration (or atleast are happy for their hindu's brothers) but instead all I see is bile and hatred. So if that is how Muslims are being portrayed, why are they not denouncing it? Calling their community members to task? Every other community around the world holds their community member to task if they mis represent the community. This doesn't happen anywhere in the Muslim world. It seems to me, the Muslim community is causing their own insecurities. It isn't up to hindu's to fix that. Watching indian Muslims March against the death of soleimani was actually quite embarrassing because the Iranian people were celebrating the death. So now indian Muslims support irgc mullahs that are killing and raping young women in the name of hijab? And now hamas? They are a confused lot. Again not a hindu problem. Nor do I think hindu's will ever be able to make them comfortable unless they are ruling. In which case, they other minorities need to decide, how much they would be willing to lose to make Muslims comfortable.

Remember, Barkha is a product of colonial education system and she applies majority minority definitions that exists in west. Most people do not understand Sanatana Dharma and it’s in built inclusivity unlike other religions so they apply this western concept to Hinduism in India and as a result continue to do divide and rule politics. Ultimately through this seemingly objective discussions they want to soften the image of anti Hindu civilization stance of INC

@@sonalidave8067 You have nailed it, Ben. These concepts of Right, Left and the attributes attached to them - in the political theory - are based on the history of Europe. These people try to squeeze the perspective of India into those theoretical typecasts.

Strange to hear from Nirmala that minority is feeling pain. NDA gov schemes are for all and larger fraction of muslims benefited. Still, they dont vote and BJP knows that. Main reason of Hindu resurgence is that it was suppressed for too long, due to appeasement policies.

Exactly. They are projecting their pain of losing proxy power through congress on Muslims and dividing India in the process
