- Barkha Dutt speaks to Former IPS Officer Meeran Chadha Borwankar in the 33rd episode of our podcast 'Inside Out with Barkha Dutt'.
Meeran served as the former Maharashtra IG (Prisons), and oversaw the hangings of Ajmal Kasab and Yakub Memon. She is the only woman IPS officer in India to have witnessed hangings. She spoke to Barkha Dutt about the hangings of Ajmal Kasab in 2012 and Yakub Memon in 2015.
She also spoke about her illustrious career spanning over 36 years and the interesting assignments that she handled. Why her relations with current NSA Ajit Doval soured and why a special Namaz was held for her transfer, this and much more in this insighful and candid conversation.

I was totally glued to the interview.
Amazing conversation. Hats off to this ex IPS officer 👮
A very well conducted interview of a fine IPS officer.
Imagine making tombs for such people, in INDIA, and then people paying respects to them.
We know Bwood is jihadi and antinational still we glorify these pimps!!
Excellent interview.
Indirectly Barkha is mocking one most competent woman police officer
how?
Barkha, your breed, remember, kargil how your reporting helped Pakistanis.
grow up
Barkha is not apologetic of media for wrong media reports on IPS officer
The anchor seems to brilliantly hide her utter disappointment and anguish with the hanging of Kasab.
Well I sense u r disappointed with his hanging...
Excellent interview Barkha. IPS Lady officer is a real trooper 🫡.
An excellent interview by Barkha
Barkha is unfair to such a distinguished woman through her design
Very interesting
A brilliant brave IPS women officer .
Our media is very funny, like flies they will over-crowd the scene. See as example, in Utter Kashi media persons are more then rescue team workers.
Her questions speak of her attitude to nation
Surprise Barkha did not challenged with he anti India, Anti Hindu and Pro. Islam rhetoric? Barkha favoured for life of Kasab
what do you mean? pls explain
Waiting to hear 0:00
Why is barkha even trying to discuss the terrorist kasab & yakub ...
Wanting to know how they behaved or looked or what they said....
Is it necessary for us to know when they have killed so many of our people
are any particular topics banned from discussion in india?
Bahut sundar meera mam ,book hindi me bhi chhapna chahiye .hamein intizaar rahega.
How was Yakub Menon ‘s sentence contentious?
Nothing happens to anybody in Media so why ask of punishment for others in other departments
Never forget this woman compromised the location of her source on television. Absolutely shameful. People like this still breathing is a disgrace
Who are you talking about

So, this is the policewoman who botched ajit doval's trap for dawood. Was she perceived to be close to sharad pawar?
Burki still interested to talking about her exs.....
Can you please interview the released palestine prisoners and let us know what they went through in isrl. prisons? I heard things but don't have way to authenticate those
Hi mam
Your breed 😅😅😅
Barkha is too arrogant to be interviewing reputed and respected police officers.
can you give examples of the arrogance pls
Barkha is rather stands exposed of her entire life working style
Her English is flawless.
A beautiful lady
👍👍Barkha was superb. Madam Borwankar was superb. Yes, she's right. Women have a sense of what's right and just, the world over. That's the very reason why I support women's empowerment and not as a fashionable statement.
