i know a mod thats really fun and quite overpowered in terms of free land, also, since its an alt-hist mod, there are tons of new events that are really great for immersion and i highly recommend playing it. its called "großdeutscher bund" and its basically what it says: its about an alt-hist path in which germany, while going for a civil kerfuffle, gets help by soviet volunteers and the following unrest caused by communists in all of europe. i hope this suggestion finds you well because i really wanna see someone play it since its so much fun for me. anyways, enough talk, have a great day and keep up the fabulous work
This path can go crazy sometimes I was literally able to turn Russia to my side before going to war in mid summer 1914 And the troops were literally home by Christmas
Do some Old World Blues, plenty of nations and focus trees with different play styles and lore, and plenty of submods that challenge you or give you a power trip like the Enclave Reborn mod

Another cool vid would be predetermining Germany to Backstab Austria using the custom rules and then play Austria. It seems ok, but as soon as Romania Serbia and Bosnia get involved, your Line is really getting stretched. Had a game where i even went to war with the whole of the Balkan, because of Serbia going in on me. I've done this now a few Times and everytime it was a blast.
this has always been my favorite option in The Great war Redux. However I disagree with the way you did it. I usually wait to build up my civilian industry until mid 1913 before attacking Austria. Then I refuse The French's Demands and go in on the entente. And since the Schlieffen Plan is so OP in this mod, Paris usually falls before 1914. usually I refuse the surrender since I like making borders myself
You might still have trauma from Germany in Kaiserreich, but you should give socialist Italy a try there. They got a rework along with Germany and it's by far not as complex and requires less reading.
