Fishbites representative, Brett Burford, and Pro Staff member, Caleb Couture, traveled to Alabama to see what surf fishing the north gulf coast is all about! We were not disappointed! We got into some really quality fish as well as a very rare and surprisingly beautiful catch!

Just to let you know Matthew this week here in Jacksonville Florida is a great week for fishing. ( Mostly at Ponta Vedra ) I thought it would be SUPER COOL if me my little sister and my Mom could go with you because we are really close by. I'm just a big fan and thought this could be a great opportunity. BTW great vid!!! You probably have plans already but at least let me know if you could come.

Cool ray and great fishing in the surf. We get some big rays but our fish are small here in the surf. Commiefornia.

I love Fishbites they have them here in South Carolina if you find them, but when you do you have to buy all them or it's a month wait for more
add shrimp fish bites to squid and the lane snapper seems to love it. Catching a lot more lane snapper than without!!

There was a school of pilchards at Pensacola beach and I caught one and hooked a tarpon very close to the beach and I was fishing on the beach then 30 mins later I caught a bonnet head shark on another pilchard
It was around 7 pm
The tarpon came off

Was at Bob Sykes the other night.
A family had some spinning combos that they all had upside down.
They had the anti-reverse off and were reeling forward (letting line out the whole time).
I didn’t say they were upside down, but politely told them they “might have better luck if the flipped their rods over”.
They said, “no their rods were just defective”.
I said, “awww man bummer” and walked away and had a chuckle.
Everybody starts somewhere. Some in a different place than others haha
Just glad to see people out fishing and enjoying our local waters.

Appreciate the feedback. Every video has different purposes. I can think of a few tips I hand out in the last few videos I’ve posted just off the top of my head. Like bait selection, colors to use for floats that are working, where fish have been running, how to capitalize on a bite...plenty of information to gather.
Great video Triple B. You alluded to the pompano having moved on. My question to you and anyone out there who might know the answer is where does the main population of Florida pompano on the gulf coast go during the summer? Since on the Atlantic coast they follow comfortable water temperatures up the east coast states and on the gulf of Mexico the furthest north they can go is the Florida panhandle because the Mississippi delta juts out over a hundred miles to the south.
It’s a bit of mystery. But I believe they just push offshore to deeper water

Yes, those face shields are made of a special material that is (somehow) infused with SPF 40 sunblock, blocks UV rays, wind, and somehow remains fairly cool. I just ordered 5 for $20.
