As another commenter mentioned, I too am from an area where we have great freshwater fishing and ice fishing - upstate NY, but for the past 8 years have been spending the month of April on the Florida east coast surf fishing every day during the month. Very relaxing and one never knows what fish will be next on the line. I've been using mainly pyramid sinkers and usually fish-bites or shrimp, but will try jigging and casting topwaters next year, that was new info for me, so thanks. Watching your videos make me want to be back down there! I really enjoy your videos.

It's been like 6 years since I have hooked up on fish biting 3x as that but was at a lighted gas rig. They destroyed the artificial. Probably caught over a 100 white trout and almost 100 specks. No limit then and kept many big specks. Nothing beats when you get on a crazy bite like that. Best day ever.

That Speckled trout was a nice start! Why can't we have topwater action like that in Delaware? We used to years ago. Your rod is too rubbery... that's why you don't hook up on those topwater hits. Use a stiffer rod with some back to it. Great video and fantastic action ! Your a lucky dude!

Just wanted to drop in and mention how much I enjoy watching your surf fishing vids... Living in the cold, snowy Midwest; I’m living vicariously thru these videos until I’m able to be down in central-east Florida later in the year. Hunting and freshwater is great here, but nothing beats surf fishing in my book.
Thanks for all your videos and keep posting! I’m about the same age as you, so it’s cool watching vids of someone in my peer group that also gets just as excited about each fish as I do! Haha. I’m not new to surf fishing, but I’ve picked up a lot of good tips from your vids that I can’t wait to try. Stay Bummy 🤙🏻

Gotta love it when a plan comes together but hey, way to be prepared for other fish when they present themselves. Awesome job on the top water action too. As an afterthought I wonder if the flounder bite may have also been on fire while the other fish were blowing up on top. There would only be one way to find out but it would be a hard call to stop fishing top water when the fish are still biting to start dragging jigs for flounder. Either way it would be a great day. Nice video.

Dude, I thoroughly enjoy your videos, vicariously. I’m 72 and trudging through the sand is more than my old body can take. So I watch surf fishing and fish for blue gill. However, I have a suggestion for you to make better videos. Please wear your Go-Pro on a band on your forehead. As it is now, much of what I’m seeing is your arm flashing, flashing, flashing across, up and down the screen as you reel them in. It’s hard on my eyes. Thanks and keep up the fishcapades and the training videos. I learn something new every time.
