Semion Shrimp I've been wondering this too. It wasn't just Lego though, Hasbro also messed up the Thrawn figures badges. I think early concept art for Rebels had Thrawn as a lower rank.
Semion Shrimp Lego often is only given concept art or "final" pre-production artwork for its figures and ships, which occasionally later gets changed in final production, but it's too late for Lego to make the change because they've already had molds made and parts produced in the design they were given. Recent examples are the incorrect hair piece for Grand Moff Tarkin in the Rebels cartoon, and the color and play functionality (i.e., non-foldable) wings of Kyle Ren's shuttle.

What lego star wars needs at the moment is more creatures and building. how about the geonosian arena or a building from coruscant? What I really want from Lego is a CCBS- boba fett or -prequel jedi without clone wars armor.

He does literally just skip right past it after deeply explaining Anakin and then going on to explain Bossk. Honestly though I don’t really mind as it’s interesting to know about Bossk’s head color changing and why they had it wrong originally, and then with Anakin it’s nice to have them address how gruesome he looks and how they decide to go about making it a minifig, but then again I’d have liked to see why they chose that Clone design specifically, as it wasn’t anything canon as far as I know. Maybe they just wanted to give us some Concept Art designs?

Why did they do Grand Admiral Thrawn as an Admiral and NOT a GRAND Admiral even though they had TONS of reference to get it RIGHT. Also why did Lucas film let it through and not correct the design flaw!!!😡
They didn't have tons of reference for it. The show was going to have him just be an admiral until late in the process, too late apparently for them to change it. The Hasbro action figure initially had the same error.

You know they should Re-release some of the older sets like the R2-D2 Mindstorm set and the C-3PO set 8007. Cause as we know those 2 droids are the most popular ones and there like in almost all of the movies, shows, and games.

I really am getting annoyed with Lego now, the stud shooters are getting ridiculously obvious. They're so annoying, honestly i am finding myself constantly having to find parts to replace studshooters with cannons or blasters. Take the SABRE tank for example. I had to replace those stud shooters, and i have three of those sets. The battle packs are the worst... How am i supposed to build an army if they don't have guns?
look up a youtube video for uses of the stud shooters
you can make cooler-looking rifles or spider droids with them at the least, just get a 1x1x1 brick with 4 holes on its sides and one on its top, then stick the stud shooters in there and you have a spider droid

Theres is no such thing as a brick with 5 holes in it, and you sure as hell can't make a spider droid out of it either. Face it, stud shooters suck and Lego's latest Star Wars sets haven't been very good. I hope they get better...

CC-1921 actually there is... think of the one stud cubic bricks, then imagine it with studs on all four sides... this brick exists and its used for versions of the droid staff speeder

The 'admission' that they knew the design for Kylo Ren's was fundamentally flawed when they saw the first trailer, ie. 10 months before the set went on sale, is telling. It begs the question; should they have withheld it, re-designed it and/or released it in the next wave? I get that product development take years and designs change but I would think 10 months is enough time to adapt given their considerable resources. If not, then serious questions need to be asked as to why, particularly when they are granted licensing for franchises that are producing material at an ever expanding rate. Have they learned from the "Kylo Ren's shuttle mistake"? I hope so. Because to me it stinks solely of a profit decision to limit production cost whilst disrespecting their loyal fans. Lets not forget that this was the most expensive set in the wave! How disappointed were kids when they realized their prized toy did not have the same wings as in the movie and was the wrong colour! Great reporting to get this inside info by the way...I'm sure Lego exec's would see it differently.
the star wars minifigs need to be more durable. my figs (mostly the prequel ones) get cracks in arms, torso and legs. chinese plastic may be the issue

jamiedodgr69 lucky you! my anakin from set 9494, republic troopers (battlepack), assaj ventress (Anakin's custom jedi starfighter) are all broken. but my oldest from 2004 aren't. strange
legoman716 wow that must be bad. What part of them broke? I have broken 2 things but they are easily replaceable. I cracked Episode II Anakin's arm up from where the hand was because I took the hand in and out way too much pretending it was episode 3 Anakin (I didn't get him until 2014) but it is still possible to use. I also broke off part of a hoth rebel trooper's hand so I can't use that but I have loads of white hands. But my 2002 tusken is okay and all of my sets from after then.
jamiedodgr69 cracks from hip to "armpit", from hand connectionpoint to elbow and backside of the feet. And since these parts are protected by a license, it can be tricky to replace them via customer service. and the thing is that I never play woth my Lego, I only collect them and put it behind glass

Not trying to be mean but everyone thinks it: studshooters suck. Go back to the ones that most closely resembled blasters , even if they don't look like actual Star Wars blasters. I remember when brick arms didn't exist so you could only get Lego guns thru Star Wars. Nobody needs to shoot studs. They'll get lost and they're useless.

These designers did a great job on the bounty hunter minifigs and the minifigs of the darth vader set, but the disney sets are just for little kids (not their fault, but still)

i really want to work for lego that my dream job i recently got out of high school but i live in kentucky so its hard for me i have had woodshoop industrial maintenance and i play with legos alot

The overall quality and detail of Star Wars sets have gone downhill since 2015 and the prices just keep going up. They need to step up their game with Quality > Quantity and also release more prequel/Clone Wars sets.
