Wish I got the 2013 gunship. Considering the scale of the most recent coruscant guard gunship and just the overall trend of downsized sets, I doubt they'll ever make a gunship as good as the 2013 one.
I think the greatest set of all time has to be the 2022 AT-TE. It's objectively perfect. The mix of being almost minifig scale, great figure selection, relevant side build, good play feature and much interior space is just perfect and the set itself is almost model like. The only thing i would change is to add an obi-wan figure in place on one trooper and that's it.
@mkwong2660 what about them? they are good. The rangefinder is offset a little but that's a compromise that was needed to make the visor and macrobinoculars fit.
The LEGO "Han Solo's Landspeeder" from Solo is honestly one of my favorite sets in my Star Wars collection and I'm super happy to see it made the list. The build is sleek and the functions are incredible, plus, the price was fantastic.
I would argue 2006 sail barge, 2002 Bounty Hunter Pursuit, 2014 cantina, and 2017 Obi-Wan's Starfighter with hyperdrive ring, all had a place on this list
I’m currently building the MTT for the first time even though I got the set in 2007 when I was 7. I got the set for Christmas and opened it up just to make the droideka and then mixed the whole set into my box of Lego haha. Mum never bought me a big set again lol. Taken me a good 5 hours to sort through and find the parts and I’m still not finished. Pretty sure I’ll have to buy a few spare brown parts. Also doesn’t help being colour blind with the red pieces in my box looking a lot like the brown.
Glad you included 4504 Millennium Falcon. It is my favorite Lego set of all time. It is the perfect blend of the classic charm of old Lego with newer techniques that make it still hold up really well.
I love that you put the Falcon v2 at #5! That was my first large LEGO Star wars set and most loved, by far. My Dad got it for me for Christmas the year it came out!! Recently cleaned all the pieces and put it back together after years of dust and greasy fingers.
I had the 2012 Jedi star fighter and it was cool but it was 40 dollars back then even without a vulture droid Fs not as good of a value. People complained a lot about the price back then but having non-maimed Vader was cool
Fortunately, we are scheduled to get a new, play-scale Imperial Star Destroyer this upcoming summer for a pretty good price, featuring a Cal Kestis minifigure.
Its interesting because before retirement the Scythe got some hate for price, lack of minifigs, and uneventful colour scheme. And what about the UCS Republic Gunship?
For playscale sets, I'd put the 2007 MTT at the top. Not that the republic gunship isn't a cool set. I just wish there were more Episode 1 sets that are as cool as 7662, such as a proper AAT or Anakin's pod (I personally dislike the design of every official version of Anakin's pod in LEGO) Here's to hoping someday we get a playscale set of the Naboo Queen's Starfighter, and if we're even more lucky, a UCS Invisible Hand and Trade Federation Landing Craft

@BrickologyProductions i just dont feel like they really compare to the play scale sets, battle packs are just to get a lot minifgures for a good price like with what you said a lesser attention to the builds that come with them where as the play scale sets are desinged for play and can be more toward building an accurate model of what vehicle or structure they are trying to replicate. Thats just me tho.

@@CloneTrooperSniper4521 it’s not. I didn’t say it was. But it’s an adjacent category of humongous sets that were direct to consumer. Same goes for like the Ewok Village.
While I agree remakes of old sets like the battle of Endor are really cool to see, I'm kinda scared seeing that price increase from back in the days 99 bucks to probably 159 bucks if they were to remake it. It'll probably include one less speeder, less figurines for a higher price. I don't wanna see that it would ruin the experience for me. So some sets should just remain without a remake.

If you do own it, you would know that the head collapses upon itself constantly, the colored pieces are an eyesore, and many of its technic connections are quite loose. I call the inquisitor transport the "fall apart ship". The stability is really precarious. Sure it looks great, but it doesn't survive the child test. My daughter destroyed it in under 2 minutes😂. Good choices on your list otherwise of which I have most of og, most notably, the 20th anniversary slave 1 and Arc 170. Great video Lee.
I agree. I don’t really think of it as a Playset. It is great for display. Looks amazing next to Krennic’s shuttle. I have both on stands with Scythe in front forming Overlapping V angles
I remember my dad getting me the battle of Endor for my birthday one year and I would recreate while Watching so many scenes of that dang movie and annoyed the shit out of my older sister to the point where she started liking Star Wars 🤣wish I didn’t tell him he could sell it along with all my other legos at his house smh
The problem with the AT-TE 212th clones isn’t only with the helmet holes. It is also the super inaccurate print on top of the helmet. If they fixed both of those things, I would have spend my hard earned money on it. Because “only the best is good enough” they say? If that was the case, my wallet would be even more empty right now. I only pay for good sets with top quality 🤷♂️😁
Oh but I do! If they want to charge premium prices, with telling us they would provide only the best in their slogan. And it’s not up to that quality for that price, I will speak with my wallet and not buy it. 🤷♂️ If you just compare Star Wars and they’re minifigures to other themes and minifigs, there is sometimes a big gap in quality of their product. Even if it’s a good build, I refuse to spend money on the other flaws that could have easily been prevented. But till this day they refuse to listen to thousands of fans speaking out, than I refuse to spend premium prices on such flawed products. Everything was fine in the past, but somehow they just keep ruining stuf several years later.🤷♂️ I’d rather buy an older AT-TE just because the quality wasn’t only in the build, but in every aspect of the set.
I'm glad you're not buying it if you don't like it, but minifigurs are ultimately a very small chunk of the actual set. You should decide to buy a $140 set based on the quality of the build, that's 95% of the plastic included. The figures are also solid, and you get a lot of them. Is the print a little off? Sure, but it's not like the worst thing I've ever seen. Cody looks spectacular as well. Just sell the other figs if you truly hate them so much.
@@BrickologyProductionsyes I understand your perspective and opinion on it as well. But than I’d still give LEGO money for not putting in the effort to fix smaller but notable mistakes. This might just be how I see it, but minifigures are indeed a small portion of the set, but a very important one at that. You can have a cool Walker, but if the troops surrounding and controlling the Walker aren’t cool, it instantly downgrades the walker for me. Okay Cody is cool and the AT-TE is one of the best we’ve seen. But that’s not an excuse for all the rest being flawed. Such as the Spider droid, which should have been a Crab droid. LEGO’s respond to that? “Oh we hadn’t even considered that🤔” while in a lot of shots from the movie, there are clearly crab droids. Stuf like that is just research not done right. Like I don’t feel the love put in to the set as I do with some others. Just this set alone is an example. There’s countless other flaws to point out in other sets. Such as a lot of fake marketing these days, the new visual dictionary just copying and pasting old stuf that should’ve been updated on some pages, the inaccurate prints on the Commander Fox figure in de the newest gunship set. And than we haven’t even talked about the gunship itself … We could go on and on about all small things that could be fixed VERY easily.🤷♂️ Don’t know if you still want to read this, but if you did, I hope it explained my perspective on the matter a little better. I had fun discussing this with you, and I understand your point of view and opinions on this as well. I will just not support the flaws they make on such important things for a lot of fans.
I understand your point of view, I just disagree that these flaws make or break the set. I ultimately buy LEGO for the builds and building experience. I love figs as much as the next guy, but they don't ruin a set for me (unless the build is garbage). I also think the figures look pretty good and better than they used to. When I was a kid, we'd be lucky to get back printing. Now everything has crazy detail and people complain when something isn't print all over or has a slight inaccuracy. It's a topic I might discuss in a video at some point, I think we as LEGO fans are getting too entitled.
terrible list. Not to sound like an elitist but I owned basically every starwars set as a kid from 1999-2013-ish. By far the greatest set of all time is the death star released in 2010. Second best would be dropship and the aot walker.
@@BrickologyProductions regardless that Death Star is the best. I just looked at the picks but why not include those sets. The 2007 mtt, Star destroyer, clone wars at te. Those are the best sets by far. Everyone wanted those back in the day for a reason.

Mine hasn't had any issues, but I do not have any kids haha
I agree. I don’t really think of it as a Playset. It is great for display. Looks amazing next to Krennic’s shuttle. I have both on stands with Scythe in front forming Overlapping V angles
Clone turbo tank 2009 was a great set too
I've always thought that set is overrated
Top 5 sets I own:
1. 75337 AT-TE
2. 7261 Clone Turbo Tank
3. 75288 AT-AT
4. 75189 AT-M6
5. 7679 IFT-X
No 8039 Venator on the list is criminal imo
I preffer the 2019 millenium falcon (thats the one I have)
Solid choice
@@BrickologyProductions at least I can hold it by the sides and doesn't have any gaps
I had a lot of these now I dont… :(
why not???
@@BrickologyProductions I agreed with my parents for them to throw them away or give em away when we did a mass cleanup of the house wish I said no
2013 gunship is the best of the best
The 2007 Sets are fire. All of them.
I remember my dad getting me the battle of Endor for my birthday one year and I would recreate while
Watching so many scenes of that dang movie and annoyed the shit out of my older sister to the point where she started liking Star Wars 🤣wish I didn’t tell him he could sell it along with all my other legos at his house smh
NOOOOO that's tragic. Awesome memories though.
Why isn’t the Death Star in here 🙄 2008 one
I specified no UCS very early on.
Well you shouldn’t base your entire opinion on the set based on figures. The build is one of the best I’ve ever seen.
Oh but I do! If they want to charge premium prices, with telling us they would provide only the best in their slogan. And it’s not up to that quality for that price, I will speak with my wallet and not buy it. 🤷♂️
If you just compare Star Wars and they’re minifigures to other themes and minifigs, there is sometimes a big gap in quality of their product.
Even if it’s a good build, I refuse to spend money on the other flaws that could have easily been prevented. But till this day they refuse to listen to thousands of fans speaking out, than I refuse to spend premium prices on such flawed products.
Everything was fine in the past, but somehow they just keep ruining stuf several years later.🤷♂️
I’d rather buy an older AT-TE just because the quality wasn’t only in the build, but in every aspect of the set.
And than we haven’t even talked about the gunship itself …
We could go on and on about all small things that could be fixed VERY easily.🤷♂️
Don’t know if you still want to read this, but if you did, I hope it explained my perspective on the matter a little better.
I think z-95 headhunter should at least be top 25 if not top 10
That’s a hot take! Love it. I never even considered that set TBH
I shoulda bought palpatines arrest, but the mtt 2007 is still king
I feel bad now because I have Kylo Ren's first lego ship 😂😭😭
As do I
2014 imperial star destroyer is the goat
Man that dron GWP sold out quickly 😅😅😅
Short run, got two myself
best x wing is the 2006 version and 2020 has the best AT AT
2006 X-Wing is a HOT take
I will never understand the love the MTTs and Gunships get. I've always called the Star Wars mini-vans. Anyway, solid list.
Something about the big troop carrier is super appealing to me
terrible list. Not to sound like an elitist but I owned basically every starwars set as a kid from 1999-2013-ish. By far the greatest set of all time is the death star released in 2010. Second best would be dropship and the aot walker.
In the video I clearly stated those sets would not be considered for the countdown. Also, the Death Star came out in 2008, not 2010.
@@BrickologyProductions regardless that Death Star is the best. I just looked at the picks but why not include those sets. The 2007 mtt, Star destroyer, clone wars at te. Those are the best sets by far. Everyone wanted those back in the day for a reason.
@@barkley8285 If I included UCS sets, the whole list would be UCS. It wouldn't have been as interesting. Did you even watch my video? The MTT was literally no. 2 on the list.
@@BrickologyProductions I mean I don’t understand disregarding those sets when you have the mtt or other big ships. When I think of UCS I think of the stupid giant Death Star or other ships that had no minifigures. The Death Star was the ultimate set with 20, it was just a bigger version of the 100$ sets like the barge, gunship, at te, etc. I’ve never considered any of those to be ucs.
@@barkley8285 because UCS sets are bigger, have more detail, and are less accessible. I wanted to make the list play scale sets only. Simple as that
No at-ot?
Watch the intro again please.
Probably one of the worst ratings of lego star wars sets i have ever seen
Thank you!
Including 75209 but not 9500 is wild
NGL I kind of forgot about 9500. Great set and has a strong argument for this list.
Deathstar or mtt
i agree
Surprised Ewok Village isn't on this list
I didn't count it. Fell into the pseudo-UCS category for me
My favorite is probably Republic Fregate with the wolf pack clones. It had absolutely insane minifigs and a very nice build with very cool play features
Yeah that’s a good one for sure
7964?
Bro Forgot Republic Dropship With AT-OT
I specified at the beginning of the video it wasn’t eligible
