Brooklyn NY is a great place to visit and live! I'm born and raised in BK nothing has ever happened to me. The crime on you see on TH-cam is a small group of people terrorizing a small part of Brooklyn. Every major city has crime but if you keep your eye open and be aware of your surroundings, you will be fine!
Hiya! I liked Brooklyn more than Manhattan. Although it's packed with people (but that's everywhere in NY) it seems more mixture with beaches and parks. Love the Pebble beach and Brooklyn park because it's the place to rewind once you've had enough of the overwhelming NY. I'm curious if Juliana's has GF pizza's. It seems that this is an alternative style pizza place and I like it. Aloft is a really nice hotel to stay at. You feel a little on edge? That's how I felt the entire time in NY 🥲. Stock up on goods and have a picnic in the park is the best. That's what I love to do everywhere I can. So far Copenhagen and London seem to be the best places for park picnics. Thanks for sharing your Brooklyn vibes and have an amazing week ahead 🤙
Brooklyn is my vibe, too! I love it in winter, too, during the holidays. Thanks for the video. I never thought of staying where you were at - I'm more into Bedford but issues with the L really killed that as an option. Looking forward to more of your adventures.
Also. It can't get more local than Downtown BK! Everyone been there. If you go deeper into BK like Flatbush & Nostrand or hangout on Franklin Ave between pacific and Eastern parkway, you will see how a lot of the local's vibe.
You should definitely dive deeper into Carroll Gardens and Cobble Hill, especially along Smith Street and Court Street. The area is rich with a genuine local charm, and it's home to quite a few celebrities
My dad’s side of the family is from Bedstuy Brooklyn (born and raised) and he would tell you that there’s so many differences parts to Brooklyn, and there’s a lot of culture within the borough, that you always end up finding something new everyday. Mind you he grew up during the nitty gritty times of NY so he knows that even the media can over exaggerate some of the issues there. Now obviously with crime…..yes it does happen but, crime can happen anywhere and it’s really a “always keep your guard up and pay attention to your surroundings.”
I've lived in Brooklyn years ago and been back many times, but I think I've been to the Brooklyn Bridge maybe once or twice. 😅 It's just too crowded. Glad you enjoyed your time there.
Loved your "sounds of the city" description. The NYC sounds are like nowhere else. A mixing bowl of life. I loved it Thanks as always for such a fun video!
Harriet and I are quite familiar with Brooklyn. Harriet lived in Brooklyn while going to school at NYU for her MBA. Many wonderful memories. Phoebe , what would be your biggest takeaway in visiting Brooklyn? All the best ❤ Harriet, Jim and Yuki
Thank you for sacrificing sleep in order to give us real/ good content Phoebe. For some reason as I was watching this, I too was considering your being safe 😅. As an experienced world traveler ( that also vlogs) I know your streets smarts are next level. 🙏🏻
Great video young lady as always love your take on Brooklyn..When I visited I stayed in brownstone in downstairs basement which was a small apartment like it was cool..Also I was in the Navy at the time in Norfolk, VA and met my bro and mother there so I took the Greyhound from Norfolk, VA to NYC an experience in itself...Also you have the most beautiful long hair.
Hi Phoebe! Excellent vlog.Brooklyn has it's own vibe! Brooklyn Bridge, what an attraction. You saw it paid off to get up early! Amazing pizzaplace, delicious food-and coffee! Thanks a lot!
Your videos are so refreshing. Not everything is good and it’s great you tell it the way it is. I always have this thing about wanting to go flat out on vacation trying to see absolutely everything but at the end of the day I’m exhausted. I do wish I could have some downtime and just relax but it’s hard for me.
I've been living in NYC for over 8 years and never knew why Dumbo is called Dumbo, until now 😂 which is actually one of my favorite parts of the city. The night view from the Pebble Beach is also amazing. Brooklyn is actually very large area and I think you would have loved Prospect park, Brooklyn Museum and Brooklyn Botanical garden..The Statue of Liberty you can see up close if you take ferry to Staten Island for 3$, it passes right by..I hope you had a good time in NY and looking forward to seeing next adventures and destinations..
I started watching your videos to help me plan a trip in Japan. So happy to see you traveling in my part of the world now. There are so many other areas of Brooklyn you could have visited too. Prospect Park is big like Central Park and you may have liked going there your second day. Are you going to other parts of the East Coast? So many other cities you could also visit (Philly, Boston, Washington DC.) If you want recommendations let me know.
Haha!!! I hate big crowds too. Brooklyn Bridge looks amazing. You look amazing. Supermarket sushi? Your a brave woman! 😂 I don't know how you like vegimite. Keep up the amazing videos!!
Brooklyn is an aesthetically pleasing location to visit. I find it to be quite enjoyable. There are numerous interesting locations to capture photographs and videos, such as the Brooklyn Bridge. I appreciate your travel videos. I would like to watch more videos about the United States on your TH-cam channel.
Great video. That street with the view of the bridge reminds me of the street in Paris with the Eiffel Tower which is so busy with tourists getting the iconic picture. Interesting overview of the area. Likewise my view of Brooklyn was probably tainted by bad 90s cop shows 🤣 Another supermarket snoop … awesome 🙌
Great video. I love the views from Brooklyn. I totally get what you mean about the bridge feeling more immersive snd real. I loved it too. Darn I was so close to Pebble Beach, didn’t know it. Next time 😜
Loved the Brooklyn bridge at sunrise. Worth getting up. I feel that u felt like u disappointed us with Brooklyn, u didn't disappoint me. I loved it. And the statue of liberty is not that big. One thinks it is, but in reality. Lol. Can't wait to see where u end up next week. Can I give some advice, and there may be a reason u don't, but use a clip on mic, that u can use with ur iphone, it may cut alot of the background noise.
I agree with you, Brooklyn, at least that part of Brooklyn, is a day trip at most. If you come back visit Coney Island where I grew up! It's a trip to get there and might not be your vibe but the cyclone is iconic.
Northern Brooklyn is now rivaling in Manhattan, in quality Dumbo Brooklyn Heights, Cobblehill Park slope, Williamsburg, and some parts of Bushwick as for crime as long as you avoid Brownsville East New York Flatbush, Sometimes certain areas in Coney Island you should be pretty safe as someone who lives in Williamsburg I’m surprised about your reaction? I what wonder the reason why? To each their own.
Hahaha the second attempt! I can’t remember the exact time but I just checked the weather app on my iPhone and got there at the sunrise time ☺️🙏🏼 worth it!!!
Amazing yes that you Have videos arrange to See a lot oh very large Areas America Similar large as Well as Australia but a little bit Pictures no so clear watch during the day sun Beam on screen great Thanks videos supply.
If I was gonna visit NY, I’ll probably stay in Brooklyn for cheaper accommodation. I could never take advice from my mum about travel destinations. She’s the biggest armchair expert if you know what I mean lol
