faulty gates are my favourite
i set up a device in a world with some friends that has a 1/5000 chance every second to trigger an announcement box, with the signal "Impending doom approaches..." (with the correct colouring!)

I took an electronics course last year, and I never really understood how transistors worked, so hearing all of the terminology again is stressing me out lol. I do understand shift registers, though, so that’s nice.
Now I want to see someone take these gates and transistors and run doom in terraria

man thank you so much for making this video, I was struggling to do stuff with logic gates in my own time, especially the shift register heart and star statue
This might really help me with a "Choose your class to begin a journey" type of spawn when playing with friends, trapping them in a box and letting them choose only 1 class
And preventing one another from starting too early

- and you can use more than one logic stick thing in one logic gate

i might do a PvP capture the gem play through with some of my friends and I want to make a mind melting almost trolly base to deter raids, but has a secret way through
that only I will know. I want the base to be like a mini-adventure map and watch them scream while they just coat there bases in hard to break blocks!

Damn i taught mumbo jumbo got into terreria and is doing a redstone like series around it.
Is there a way to have something for example: receive a signal via a player sensor/switch/lever and after a small time delay actuate a set of blocks, then have them deactuate by themself? I've been trying to figure something out like this and I haven't been able to find anything with exactly what I'm looking for.
I’d have to test it, but I think you could use a shift register like in the video combined with a timer to create a delay, and you could put outputs on whatever tick you wanted to, so you could use an XOR gate so it activates on, say, tick 2, and deactivates on tick 5 or something. Hope this is helpful!

Mappy! Idk if u learned about binary things, but let me explain to you.
The logic gates follow the binary system activation.
And the binary system works like this:
0 (false) 1 (true). Note: each sequence below is set to turn the system on.
OR (at least one true)
AND (all true)
NOR (all false)
NAND (at least one false)
XOR (must have false and true)
XNOR (all false or all true)
