Kate, it is always so enjoyable to watch your videos. Since I grew up about 1/2 hour South of you I can related to soooo many things you talk about. I had to laugh when I heard you mention going over the furrows is not fun. That is so true. So much so that my dad modified a drill specifically to plant hay with random seed placement and we ended up with not only smoother fields but better fields as well. Water distributed better and a whole lot of other things seemed to come together. Anyway, the snakes were also a big memory. I grew up a few hundred yards from a snake den. There was always a keen sense of buzztail awareness everywhere we went but even so, I still had multiple close calls. Want to see a reeeeeeeally angry rattlesnake. Watch one get sucked up into a bailer:-) Keep up with these excellent videos, its a walk down memory lane for me.
Kate you have come a long way. Maturity is becoming you. Your voice is clear now. I really also like seeing the rest of your family. Your Dad and Grandpa are wonderfully kind, and gracious people. Include them as much as you can in your videos. Congrats.

Nice to see you Kate. I would like to ask you if you have heard of prisons using prisoners for work on farms. There's one in Mississippi Delta that is so big it covers a whole county. Sunflower County Mississippi Delta. Mississippi River bottom land . It used to feed the prisoners but I don't know who gets the crops now.
It would be nice to see a spring video or early summer video..... Maybe you could get that Trevor boy to talk about his life a little bit he seems like a pretty good old boy..... He's probably a real handyman too... Guys like that are the real backbone of America,... Folks like your grandfather and your dad and Uncle Chris and Darcy and your mom... And others... Is there anything yall do to give back to the soil ? after growing the wheat for so many plantings ? Like fertilizer or adding more soil , planting crops like soybean to put nitrogen back in ?
Our granddaughters just started crawling, {beautiful twins ;-}, and watching you, we can't wait for them to get a bit older so we can show them how to use the tractor, (the tractor is my wifes, I purchased it for her on Valentines day back around 2000 so SHE could take care of HER & our daughters horses ;-), backhoe, and all the other goodies we've accumulated over the years 🙂 Our daughter was using the tractor as soon as she could reach the pedals ;-) Have fun young lady and be safe!!!
You mentioned "this is really good wheat", any comparison yields? Like vs last year or how the weather helped this year? Some farms use glyphosate to 'dry down' the grain before harvest, with the swathers are you able to avoid those chemicals?

How come you swath all your wheat? I am from Michigan. We all harvest with 35 and 45 foot headers in our wheat. Just curious. Drying issue?
