Particularly the "who" and "Tu" thing, and the recommendations for your other videos. I'm learning Zelda's Lullaby from one of your other videos, and this one here helped me get through that first section just now. Also, thanks for the STL Ocarina tip. Could you make a video about balancing the ocarina at high notes? It's not exactly intuitive to me how I'm supposed to hold the ocarina while covering none of the holes. Thanks in advance ^^
I'm sad I wasted so much money on Amazon ocarina's because none of them sound even half way decent. Went and ordered from the site you recommend so fingers crossed! I've always wanted to learn so I'm excited to get started with a good decent instrument
I have an STL ocarina (Ocarina of the Crystal Wilds is the exact one I have) and I've been looking for resources to learn how to play it better. I'm coming from flute to ocarina. Thank you so much for this video, I'm so grateful for this advice.
Hi Gina, just want to say my husband just got this exact ocarina for me from the same company. I was getting frustrated because I was struggling to find a channel that the lessons made sense to me. I finally found success here. Today was my first day practicing and 10 mins into practicing this video he said I was sounding much better. I think I may end up enjoying this instrument ❤
I just started learning with your videos cause you're explaining it soo great 😊 but the high notes like C and D are so difficult for me and sounds mostly strange 😢... Do you have a idea how I can do it better?
I am BEYOND EXCITED right now! Someone gave me an ocarina last night and I was trying to hold it with both my hands pointed up😂 but this video was so helpful in teaching me the basics. Hi Gina, you're the best. I'm a fan of your videos. After watching your videos recently I bought an Ocarina. But unfortunately the first note sounds D. What can I do now? Please reply🙏
I got the same one you have, just arrived today. Been using that amazon ocarina of time for years but now I can finally use a good one. I gotta get used making sound on this one.
Hello, I've recently taken up learning Ocarina, and your videos have helped out a lot, but I do have a question. To explain, I am struggling to be able to play the note A, as shown here. For some reason, I simply cannot lift my ring finger by itself to be able to get the note. Every other note is fine, but for A, lifting my ring finger alone is a challenge, as if my finger were 'locked'. Is there something (such as an exercise or technique) that can be done to resolve this in some way? Or am I perhaps just 'doomed to never play A' as it were?
Unless this is some sort of structural issue with your hand it's likely just a proprioception thing. Related/unrelated I used to not be able to raise my right big toe off the ground without the other toes coming off the ground as well. With practice and concerted effort in 'feeling' that toe, I was able to do it. Good luck!
@@bobsacamano4 It is possible that I have (or lack) a double joint in my hand that may also cause the issue, but proprioception could also be a culprit here. I'll have to try the method you mentioned with your big toe and see if it can eventually lead to success. Thanks for the input!
I'm really on edge on which of the stl zelda ocarinas to buy, like the plastic one or one of the two 60 dollar ceramic ones, shipping to my country is expensive tho, so I might only get one. Which one do you recommend? I've played wind instruments and brass instruments for 10+ years so I do have note experience and blowing and breathing technique.
The ocarina is my favorite instrument 🥰🎶🎵 I think I have 40 now... A whole lot 😂 My favorite songs to play on my ocarinas are Zelda songs 😀 After all, who would get an ocarina and not play a Zelda song or two on it for their first songs...?
