Bought a 1987 Suzuki RG 125 8 months ago. Had to leave my forks with a local guy to get them dismantled. What a seige that was🙄🙄🙄 Giving me a push to get mine done👍🏼

there looking good bud. also you can put a broom handle inside the fork to hold it to get the bolts out. also if you get stuck have a look at hunarscoalshed he does a tzr fork rebuild it helped me when i done mine.

Forks look bent, also tap screwdriver in were pinch bolt goes and they would of come apart by hand as you are hitting cast with a hammer. Which is never good.

Having taken a few forks apart...before dismantling anything...first step is to get that Allen bolt undone....rest isn't usually a problem
I had an XJ600...and I bought the special tool...to hold the inside...while undoing the Allen bolt at the bottom
We were making do with what we had mate 👍🏻

I used a Sash Clamp Set...used for Windows...to compress the fork..to remove that top clip...on the scooter forks

silicone grease works wonders on removing rusty forks from triple clamps
Gary you could laquer the bottoms of the forks you just polished up as long as you use 2k laquer 👍

Always use some wood packing when removing the seals and
bushes or you mark the top of the fork tube
We got managed to not damage 👍🏻
One of the forks looks bent gaz. Might just be the camera. Look cracking polished up though 👍🏻

Remember to hold stick your tongue at a 45 degree angle when taking fork seals out, or you'll never get um out.
