i love how most Euro 6 or ZF AS Tronic or any E400H from 2011-Present make that weird air sounding noise which does sound like a vacuum which most people have described it to be
I honestly miss the Enviro 400H 2009 Generation, like the kickdowns where crazy on those buses in them years but now there more quicker and sound more like a vacuum cleaner like this Enviro 400MMC.
Edit: I rode that bus many of times. Not the Hybrid one though... 217 Turnpike Lane - Waltham Cross. This interior looks the same as those regular Enviro 400. Nice video as always.
Since busses went green they seem to have a very short life span. Our local busses were almost 20 years old. Now they replace them every 3 or four years. Is that green?
This one is the 2014 or 2015 one with the exact same engine as the one in the older E400 E40H body but in the 2014 ones only. The newer ones I don't really like tho the 2014 and 2015 E400 MMC's are the best.
@@joshuahalla.k.a.controlla6333this one is a 2017-2018 based one you can tell by the engine, the older 2014-2016 stil have the engine Moan that sounds more like the e200
Alexander Dennis enviro4000H MMC ✅, 🤨 - was excessively burning diesel, only in electric mode in very short periods of time when accelerating from a stop. Before the covid-19 pandemic, I have ridden on “hybrid” buses and was unimpressed with their performance as a hybrid - spending most of their travel in diesel mode and less in electric - some malfunctioning, one being a stop-start diesel, and on a particularly hot summer day I got on a wrightbus Volvo hybrid and as the air conditioning was on = the auxiliary electrical system had drained the traction battery’s and it was bitterly complaining to the poor driver by a loud alarm whistle in his cab when he accelerated the bus and a second alarm in the engine compartment (heard that when I got off the bus at my intended stop, when it was dieseling up the hill). I think that TFL is cash stripped and not giving any money to Alexander Dennis or Volvo [currant hybrid bus outfitters] to maintain the hybrid buses - and those are reverting to being diesel buses = maintaining Londons air pollution (not reducing it) 😠. Hopefully the extension of the low emission zone to inside the north/south circular road will make more money for TFL - will improve the hybrid buses to perform correctly, buy more hydrogen/battery electric buses to replace the diesel/hybrid ones (which I think is their intention)

Yeah it's 2014+ btw it's ADL's new exhaust system I love it

E400Hs do not have kickdown
@@wharris302 trust me they do
They use Enviro 400 Hybrid Euro 6 Future spec
2008 E400H* Not 2009. They were made in 2008 for the hybrid bus trials.
Also they were first made with Euro 5 Emissions and the very popular BAE Systems Hybrid system architecture. 2012 BAE hybrids were the Euro 6 hybrids.

that's a Sullivan Bus though this is an Abellio owned bus
Great video. ☺
Edit: I like these older E400 E40H MMC's from 2014 and 2015 but I prefer the older bodied ones tho.
I love electric Bude they sound so nice.
Enviro 400 hybrid buses are the best. Good acceleration and good thrust.
