The landscape on the layout looks so realistic. I like the weathered paint scheme on the engines...nice work. Your background music for this video nice. 👍

Wow , this gave me chills to watch, I grew up in the East Falls section of Philadelphia in the 70s and I remember those F units doing a push pull commuter run into downtown and back every day, I also grew up watching the long coal drags moving through the Maniyunk Yard just across the river from Ridge Ave. I live in the south now ( Georgia) and this was a fun look down memory lane !!!

My grandmother grewup in St. Clair Pennsylvania during the 1930's, right next to the Reading track which went to and from the St. Clair yard. Her grandmother remembered the exact time when the Steam Locomotives would pass by so that she could take the clean clothes inside there house. Later my Grandmother moved to Pottsville, PA and rode the Steam Locomotives (im assumong one of them being the "King Coal") to Philadelphia and back to Pottsville. From what she told me I have family members who worked for the Reading from the Steam to Diessel Electric era (my Grandfather who was a brakeman on Reading GP-30's during the 1950's or 1960's). As my Grandfather says "That was the Good Old Days". And my Dad was born in the 1950's and has memories of the Reading.

Great videography! Great music! Great detail! Awesome job of weathering the rolling stock!! These little tastes of the Reading and the Pennsylvania lines have whetted my appetite to see more of this spectacular layout.

Awesome layout and great music! Times gone by. I was just operating my Reading RDCs and locomotives the other day.

Looks like Jim Hertzog’s RDG Shamokin Division HO scale model RR.

You sir would be correct. That is my dad’s layout - the one and only Jim Hertzog.

Nice to see lighted number boards on the Fs! They must be Proto or BLI? Downside of Genesis or Bowser (Stewart) are the solid number boards making lighting them nearly impossible.

You can tell by the poor windshields (white outline) those Fs are Intermountain.

I always enjoy the fact that the Reading's passenger cars have "Reading Company" painted on them.
