  • This Filipino Puto Recipe is made from ground rice. This is the traditional puto recipe. Please don't forget to Like and Subscribe! Salamat po!
    *** Step-by-step instructions are captioned on the video.
    *** In the video, I mentioned to blend the soaked rice for 2-3 minutes. I meant 1-2 minutes. ^_^
    Ingredients:
    4 Cups uncooked rice
    4 Cups water (For soaking the rice, you will need 4 cups of water. When grinding the rice in the blender, you will only need to add 2 cups of the rice water.)
    1 Cup sugar
    2 Tbsp baking powder

      I don't really know kung bakit parang kunsinta ang result ng iba, but I've used this recipe many times and I always get the same result. I did try using baking soda instead of baking powder and I only ferment for an hour instead of 3 hours, kunsinta yung kinalabasan nya. Just keep trying! ^_^

      Puto should be steamed ng matagal. Para umalsa. I'm in the process of experimenting how to make steamed rice cake. I've noticed yung mga huli batch ng puto gawa ko mas alsado because of the high heat sa steamer. Yes...maybe 2 to 3x ulitin gawin until ma perfect. Challenge sa akin ang pag gawa kasi ng puto compared to cakes. 😊

      Nag-try ako gumawa ngayon using baking soda instead of baking powder, ang kinalabasan nya is parang kunsinta. Just make sure to double check that you're using baking powder and not baking soda. ^_^

      maging kutsinta talaga pag kunti lang ang tubig..wag din madaming tubig malata ang resulta..dapat tamang lang talaga...yan yung dapat pag gawa ng putong bigas..

      @@luisjuarez3609 every time nag luluto kami ng dinuguan or palabok itong laging partner na niluluto namin. i think baka sa baking powder na ginamit mo..try mo mag lagay sa tasa ng konting tubig and baking powder at pag bumula siya ok pa gamitin..goodluck

      Check ur baking powder Po Kung PD p.. by using vinegar Hindi Po tubig... Or Kung d k kuntento tikmN mo Po... Pero wag mo lukunuken... Lasa dapat mapakla, maasim n medyo Parang maanghang

    Hello po! Okay lang po bang 'gritty' yung texture ng batter dahil sa rice? O kailangan pong pinong-pino? Nagtry po ako kanina pero tinanggal yung bigas na nagpagritty ng texture. Ayun basang puto ang kinalabasan :(( thank you!!

      Hello! Dapat po hindi nyo inalis yung bigas. Depende po sa preference nyo. OK lang kung medyo gritty and ok lang din kung i-blend sya ng pinong-pino. Pero mas masarap po yung may texture ng konti yung puto that 's why I would only blend it for 1-2 min (I would pause every 30 seconds). But some recipes they prefer na pinong-pino yung bigas hanggang maging thick na yung consistency. =)

      Kung nasa US ka, you can buy it sa Target, Walmart or try Amazon. Matagal na kasi namin yan binili so Im not sure kung available pa yung ganyang model. Search mo na lang Ninja Master Prep. =)

      I-drain mo muna yung binabad na rice, but don't throw the water na pinagbabadan. You put all the drained rice sa blender and then you add only 2 cups ng pinagbabadan na tubig. All the step by step instruction ay naka caption sa video. Just watch and follow lang the exact instructions and sigurado, okay ang kalalabasan ng puto. ^_^

      Kailangan po merong baking powder para po umalsa. Okay lang na walang yeast, just make sure i-soak yung rice overnight, then ferment for at least 3 hours. =)

      Thank you po for asking..pag ang misis ko gumawa after nilagay nya ang mixture sa plastic baking cups kasunod nilalagay sa ibabaw yung sliced cheese at isasalang na po sa steamer.
      Pag kami po ni misis ang nag luto sa huli na po namin nilalagay ang cheese halos luto na siya.we give atlist 1-2 mins just to melt po yung cheese bago hanguin..Mainit nga lang kasi sa steam medyo nakakapaso..anyway good luck po and enjoy sa pag luluto

      Try mo 40-45 minutes then check mo n lang kung ok na sya by sticking a toothpick. Hindi ko pa kasi na-try iluto sya sa mas malaking lalagyan. =)

      I haven't tried using a cake pan, but as long as it's nonstick and fits in a steamer, I think it will work. =)

    Nagtry ako 2 X Yong una lumubog ang gitna at Hindi umalsa..Yong pangalawa nag alsa nga pero ang tigas naman nong lumamig na...bat kaya ganon..

      Hello, make sure po nababad yung rice overnight and at least na ferment ng 3 hours after nyo sya na-blend. Also, yung baking powder po yung magpapa-alsa. Thank you!

      Madami youtube channels di sinasabi ung totoong method. Tama naman ingredients nya, nasubukan ko na rin same ingredients pero ung measurements sa akin tantya tantya lang. Ang problema dito ung baking powder di dapat hinahalo agad, kc after 1hr na di maluto o mabake ang batter di na sya aalsa at pag cake ibake mo titigas ang labas. Nangyari na sa akin ito, nalaman ko noong nagbake ako ng cake masyado madami ang batter mix nagawa ko kaya 2 batch ng pagluto ginawa ko, ung 1st batch umalsa at ok ang cake, ung 2nd umalsa pero nung lumamig na tumigas nasayang. ung puto ko naman napansin ko na habang papatagal pag iisteam ko ung pinakauna umalsa at perfect after 45 min di na sya masyado umalsa, tas ung over 1hr kutsinta talaga labas nya. Advice lang na maghalo lang ng baking powder pag ready ka na mag steam. subukan nyo po ulit paggawa kontihin nyo lang kung maliit steamer nyo👍

      @@arissacastillo338 I think you can use cheese cloth, sako ng arina , lumang t-shirt or tuwalya na kakasya sa takip ng steamer..
      ang purpose lang nito ay para hindi mapunta ang steam or tumulo yung water sa puto.. Stay safe , Stay healthy and Enjoy cooking 👍😃✌
