As a hobby-level CNC machinist, my favourite method would be the tape and glue similar to what Alec ended with
Painters tape, specifically the low tack / easy peel stuff that leaves no residue + CA (superglue) works wonders for fixing things down.. enough lateral strength to withstand machining aluminium with a 1.5kW spindle, and low enough perpendicular strength that it easily peels off of soft wood/plastics without risk
And if you like to re-use the same mounting surface multiple times, tape that too!.. that way the glue is only in between the tape layers and not actually touching your work or mounting surface

Good stuff! I have a suggestion for securing the blade for hand sanding next time though- instead of tape & hot glue, use masking tape & super glue. You'll want two strips of tape equal length (and wide enough to fully secure the piece). Put one strip down onto the surface you want to affix the blade to, and the other to the side of the blade you want attached to said surface. Then, put a line of superglue down the piece of tape you stuck onto the blade, and then spray some accelerant on the piece of tape stuck on the surface. Stick them together, and presto your piece won't be going anywhere- plenty of resistance to the back and forth motion of hand sanding. Then when you're done, it's as easy as removing the tape with a vertical pull (which can be helped by making the tape pieces longer than the piece you're working on if that so fits your preference).

  • @RedAce666

Passing on a little trick I learned from the RC community where hot glue is often used as a quick and dirty way of fixturing non-critical components. When you want to detatch the part, use isopropylalkohol/ethanol. It seeps into the connection and the glue imediatelly looses its bonding ability.

2:49 So you are funny as well.
I was a dental technician for 30 years so my confidence would be pretty high. Imagine what the 15th century metal worker would be thinking without all the tools, the hand piece, electricity and all the tungsten carbide burs you have today.

Here a 3-step idea to polish the handle:
1: cover the heads in epoxy. This will be done to protect them.
2: put the handle in a polishing tumbler, with a frequent checking-in, no to go too far.
3: burning away the epoxy, while keeping the temperature low enough to not melt the handle.
