you can really tell in the tone of his voice that atrioc clearly doesn't care about the starcraft comeback and is still struggling to contain his excitement from the last second bale by Scotty to secure Grimme the 751-742 victory.
Its really a shame that he feels that he has to act for the camera. We all know he was on the edge of his seat that whole farming sim match.

Honestly though I can't believe they had the nerve to go for the double with so much on the line, but it really paid off for them. When you're as skilled at farming as these guys are, it's not really a gamble, simply a calculated risk.

The xPeke back door is so timeless. People still say “I’m going for an xPeke” when they try to back door in League almost a decade later
Turning point for both orgs too, Fnatic take it to another level after this. Ocelotte retires not long after. Shame he didn't look at the comms for that one. By far my favorite e-sports moment of all-time. I miss tournament era LoL. Especially EU. CLG.EU made games like this an art form for a couple of years. Moscow Five's run, it was a beautiful time to be watching LoL.
i annoys me that ive never seen him actually destroy the nexus, he hits one attack which almost destroys the nexus, then the camera switches to the celebrating team

I’d like to add, that call of duty comeback is insane. Rokkr at the time was barely a top 5 team and Ultra was consistently placing top 3 or losing in Grand Finals. The fact that Rokkr reverse sweeps them in a Grand Finals is unheard of.
Especially since they are, technically, a Minnesota sports team. Good things aren't supposed to happen for them.
EVO Moment #37 is top 3 in my opinion. It's not just influential, it's a legit clutch moment that was difficult to pull off
Tbh dat moment alone made third strike really popular past its prime, in my opinion.
I don't think any other game has a singular moment (like 5-10 second clip) that is as sick as moment 37

Nobody had ever pulled off the perfect parry on stage before. It literally had to be frame perfect. I don't think you can top that.
Not only is Evo Moment #37 just super impressive the crowd reaction is so amazing, just the amount of hype in that small hall must have been incredible to feel. That clip/tbfp made me really like fighting games.
It's so good because you don't need to know jack about street fighter to understand how insane it is. Great way to get people into it defo
Good commentary really does make these moments, esp when it’s organic and you can tell the caster is totally engaged
I think that's what makes CSGO clips so iconic, the casters always contribute so much

My favourite part about evo moment 37 is how it was "marketed".
There wasn't a single other moment as hype as it, but they named it 37 to make it sound like there were 36 other moments just as crazy as that.
I was at Genesis 4 in the crowd for the Mango comeback too. I flew out from the UK, it was my first super major after grinding the UK locals for years. One of the best moments of my life. (Fun fact, Genesis 4 had 2 custom painted gamecubes made. 1 went to the winner, Armada, and the other was sold off. And it's mine. My little piece of Melee history)
I can't even use the gamecube, it's American so it doesn't work on our plugs. Q_Q

@@topgoose4818 yeah, but I'd need an adapter, (and a special one, cause the plugs here don't have as much power in the US, so I also need an amp for it), I'd need to get an NTSC compatible TV, an NTSC copy of Melee which'll go for 100 quid including shipping. That's a lot to play the same game my current setup uses, so I have it on display in my living room instead

As a mango fan since 2013 I remember the 5 gods era and watching Leffen come around as the god killer it was such a hype competitive story line. Mango was deep in busta arc at G4 watching this set is one I definitely remember!!!

The nuts thing about the backdoor is that sk and fn at the time were rival teams that were originally sister teams vying for "best eu team" and this 1 play single handedly killed that rivalry.
Justin Wong (the man who got parried in evo moment 37) explains this years later but what makes evo moment 37 even crazier is at the time most people didn't even know it was POSSIBLE to tech chun li's super 2. The crowd is going crazy because it is quite literally the first time they've EVER seen the move parried, and its in one of the most anticipated sets of the entire tournament.
Thanks Big A for breaking down the moments to the tech level. I like watching esports clips but some of the games move so damn fast, even if I've played the game before I still have no idea sometimes how to appreciate what just happened.

Its a bit of a contentious one because some people just hate the move, but searching for 'MVP vs Squirtle Archon toilet' will get you what I still think is one of the greatest comebacks in StarCraft II. (With Tasteless and Artosis just losing it on commentary.)

There are some insane Dota moments throughout the year, TI3 finals is my favorite, Alliance made so many comebacks and insane plays. It even sparked the meme "The million dollar dreamcoil". When S4 canceled 2 tp's back to base which led them to be able to finish the base.

Talking about Idra being a once in a lifetime deal. This last weekend in Moto GP the rider who was in 2nd thought the race was over with one lap to go. It wasn't until 4 or 5 other riders blew by him that he got back on it. He finished 5th, pulled over, and slumped onto the bike. Commentators had never seen anything like it
I looked up the clip, it's crazy hearing the commentators like "is he forfeiting ? is his bike broken ?"

@@Vher_ haha yeah the physics behind that stuff is nuts. If you haven't seen much of moto racing the Isle of Man TT just happened this last week as well. No one puts themselves closer to the human limit for a sport than those guys. I haven't had time to watch the highlights yet but it sounds like it claimed at least one rider again this year
Evo moment 37 is one of the very few moments I’ve seen in esports that just had me in awe. I get a huge smile every time I see that clip. Fighting games have to be the most entertaining part of esports for me

Some moments in gaming transcend beyond esports into the normal culture. Generation defining moments. When the blue team loaded that last barrel I shed many tears
I wish there was an Overwatch moment in this, like Shanghai dragons reverse sweeping the Seoul dynasty in a BO7 finals in a tournament was insanely clutch, and easily the biggest comeback in overwatch league
i actually remember that moment from the SKT v EDG game, was so fucking hype i loved that iteration of SKT
3rd Strike is my favorite game, I discovered it last year thanks to a friend who plays at a top level. He introduced me through Evo Moment #37 and it's always great to see 3rd Strike and Evo Moment #37 in places I don't expect

Game 4 dota ti8 grand finals should be in here. Psg Lgd on matchpoint crushing OG until a teamfight where Ceb lands an insane clutch stun turning a fight that was already as good as lost. Which lead to comeback.
I love that one, and imo TI8 Upper Bracket Finals Game 3 just edges it out as my favorite from that tournament by just a tiny bit. That hold was incredible

The Evo one is probably the best thing I've ever seen, shit still gets me just as hype as the day it happened when I see it. I know it's easy ish since they have a bot you can practice on but at the time the skill it took and timing without a bot to grind, just perfect. The backdoor was a good one too, won me a lot of csgo skins.

Our coach in high school always told us "the score is 0-0" at half time and wouldn't acknowledge the score until the end of the game.
the gif you showed was a red parry which is a cancel from block into parry that's way harder, Red Parry is 3 or 2f, normal parry is 10 or 6 depending how you input it. also you tap forward to parry not back, some other fighting games you tap back for similar mechanics though.
Truly honorable of big A to highlight these comebacks, but they could never stand up to the ones you see when he plays bloons tower defense 6

I watched the call of duty , Minnesota miracle. Was the craziest match I’ve ever seen. Best of 9 and Toronto was the second best team in the league. I swear they played for like 5 hours. Was so hype.
