I think Fanta makes you even more dehydrated so drinking it in a survival situation isn't a good idea.
Tip: it’s not the mushrooms that keep bugs away, it is smoke.
Edit: If you smoke, it’s not the same, smokers usually blow the smoke in one direction, you need smoke around you (ex. A campfire)

Step one be sure that you drink the whole soda first and that you did not shake the soda before you poke holes into it.
Not just those bugs but alot more, bugs hate smoke, cattail plants also burn well like a cigar and create lots of smoke and you can just put them around your camp site; hope everyone is having a great start to fall !

For those who don’t know, this gentleman right here made an excellent work of making smoke device , which give him between 15-30 or even possibly an hour of ant-fly , for the flys hate smoke !

Also, if you do get bitten, then the saliva of the mosquito evaporates at around 50 degrees Celsius, which means you can dip a spoon in boiling water for a second or two, and then press it against the mosquito bite to get rid of the itching 🙂

Hey, in Japan there is a very useful thing called mosquito coil.Easy to use - just light itJust by doing that, insects won't bite.Nowadays, there are even more convenient products that don't use fire or electricity.
