    One thing I can say about this is, Asthma is no joke. No matter how severe it is, asthma attacks is deadly when it isn't maintained. The father shouldn't neglected his own son and make up some lie just because he was sleeping with some woman🙄. I don't blame Op's mother beating the father and his AP up.

    Last story: Pull the kids from the wedding. Little sister has punched you in front of your little kids. No. End that now. Tell the older sister the kids will not be at the wedding for their safety. And if she's that upset, consider not attending as well. She's just like the parents in that she wants you to get over the abuse and gaslighting.

    Story 3: Wait the sister sucker punched OP for not wanting the sister’s abusive boyfriend around OP’s kids in front of said kids? And she’s sucker punched OP in front of OP’s kids multiple times??? This is insane.

      At this point i would remind them every chance i get how "well, I may be the worst, but i wasn't the one who punched my sister in the face!"
      Seriously, what would have happened if it was the other way around? They would scorch the earth

    Story three why did she keep letting her parents back in hers and her kids lives? Why are people are having issues with others in the family why they agreeing to attend family events if there is an opportunity for someone you have an issue with may attend, stop leaving what may need to do in the hands of others until the last minute.

    3rd story: OP, you should have fed sister her own teeth. parents have shown they don't care what she does wrong so teach her a lesson about real world consequences before someone not related to her does it. also tell your parents to either choose her or the grandkids because I doubt any sane man would want kids with her being a psycho

      Especially if what the sister said about Mark being a toxic spouse is true--why would you want to STAY in that family and deal with your garbage ex for the rest of your lives??

  • @dmr4450
    @dmr4450 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    You can't fix other people, only yourself. So if other people are toxic and abusive to you and your loved ones, you have no choice but to go no contact.

  • @aligummess4970
    @aligummess4970 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

    3rd OP: it’s tough to hold the line with a sibling who is acting supportive, but for the sake of the kids, OP really needs to draw a hard boundary between their lives and the lives of OP’s family. No contact means no contact. No presents from the grandparents. No discussion of attending the wedding. Oldest sis is being a peacemaker, which is a sweet short-term fix and a shitty long-term bomb waiting to go off. OP tells oldest sis kindly but firmly that no more presents from grandparents will be allowed, and that they need to go fully no contact, including attending events like weddings, and that it is for the sake of the kids to give them lives free from ambiguity. Kids can choose to reach out to their extended family when they are older and able to discern toxic behavior, but keeping everyone in this strange limbo is not helping anyone. And if oldest sis flips and starts calling OP selfish instead of respecting OP’s boundaries, that’s just further evidence that the system is fucked and OP needs to get completely out of it. Sucker punching someone’s mother in front of their kids is really red flag behavior. As a farther step, OP should seek out a chosen family for the kids - grandparents that don’t suck, friends that can be surrogate aunts and uncles - so the kids can have the experience of being loved by healthy adults, which will incidentally set them up even more to recognize toxic bs when it presents itself.

    Sad how cheating splits families up and pit the members against each other. That's one thing. But when family members screw their relatives' partners, that's just a really low level of low😡.

    I have had those thoughts about my mom & her husband (they died of cancer and a heart attack). I also feel these feelings towards my dad and his wife. I’ll never do it but sometimes those thoughts helps me feel better. All four of them hated me and abused me. I’ll be elated if all 4 rot in hell.

    1.- OP really is dad's child, making sure it's not traced back and making herself the victim while "confessing" when it was convenient.

    • @spicyt0fu
      @spicyt0fu หลายเดือนก่อน

      Oh he absolutely does not think he's the victim. That guy 100% was going to murder his father unless something like this happened. The sentiment is similar to some victims of SA. You end up hating the abuser so much that it's literally all that will keep you going. I still fight myself not to slip into that mindset. I think it's more common with kids, I was around that guy's age and as you grow up teenage angst is fairly normal, some people just have something they fixate on.
