If Microsoft would have done back then what they're doing now and integrating Android apps to work natively on their software I would absolutely 100% still be using a Windows phone today I miss that software so much!

One thing that doomed the 920 is that it was released just 7 months after the former "flagship" 900 which was unveiled to a huge press and publicity campaign including a Nicki Minaj Times Square concert. The 900 had a mediocre camera despite the Zeiss branding and never even got a WP8 update. Huge credibility hit for Nokia to put out a "flagship" that was midrange at best and was almost immediately dead-ended for support.

Loved (and still do) my Microsoft Lumia 550 budget phone. This little cheap phone went around the world with me for the first half of 2018, kept me in touch with home and took some memorable video and pictures. Super reliable and great battery time. If my bank had not discarded the mobile banking app on Windows Phone 10 it would still be in daily use instead of the awful bloated Android device I have now. It lives in my car these days as a SatNav device and mp3 player - the offline maps still update. I actually just updated the England map through the Microsoft store, it still works for some of the apps.
Back in the day I always wanted A Windows Phone, but I was with Verizon and the AT&T signal wasn't great where I lived. But I just was given a perfect white 640XL (Stormtrooper), not a scratch, battery condition is excellent. Microsoft WordFlow is fantastic. What a lot of fun! It's on 8.1 denim, and sadly most apps won't open. But both AT&T and Cricket said they'd put a sim in it because it has LTE. Sadly it has Internet Explorer, which is suppose to shut down momentarily. Worked this morning though. As you showed in the video, some web sites wouldn't open at all or large parts are just blank. So smooth, has a fabulous pedometer, oh how I wish it could work 😩
I still like the Windows OS of Nokia 640 that I bought and used in Asia. It is still in my house in Asia , I haven't been back there because of Covid since early 2020. @@StevealiciousTech Do you know what type of cable I can use to get the output from the soundboard to the phone mic input for recording video? I am having trouble finding one that recognizes the cable as the mic I now it is a TRS to TRRS and am pretty sure the mic and ground is switched for the Nokia's compared to todays newer inputs
Window phone is my love 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
the only problem was apps
Every Lumia phone was good for its price
Definitely, they offered a lot for the time!
@@StevealiciousTech , if they launch Lumia again with the same quality, I will buy it in a heart beat .
My Lumia 640 fell from a height of 15 feet yet it worked.
Eventually it went bad bcos my cat pissed on it
I love a phone that has my name in it
I still use my Nokia Lumia
As you should! Still love them!
Yo hice mis mejores fotos con el Lumia 920. Ha sido el mejor teléfono que haya tenido. Incluso mejor que este iPhone 11…
It came with DOS!
Lol it was fun to use!
Windows phone OS was a brilliant OS and a wasted opportunity by Microsoft...
Absolutely! Makes me mad every time!
Microsoft made fun of the iPhone and its App Store saying that there windows mobile pocket pc was better but then they realized that the iPhone was more popular and had a better ui than the at the time windows mobile 6.5 and started following apple’s iOS and Googles Android but by then they where to late just like Nokia and blackberry
Yep, unfortunate but they were late but when they came back to it...it was excellent.
@@StevealiciousTech yes I loved my Nokia Lumia 1020 back in the day still
My favorite camera phone and phone where I had the most fun taking pictures
@@StevealiciousTech you think bill will ever bring this back? I know he has a samsung z fold now I heard.
the design is getting copied by Samsung and Axon , S22 ultra note 20 ultra and Axon 40 have the exact same body design as lumia 920 with that loop like design , also there were the first to introduce night mode in camera , live photos , encryption, dark mode, advanced manual mode , always on display , iris scanner , optical image stabilization, super amoled displays , live widgets apps , super slow motion , curved displays (2.5d glass had that subtle curve that was great) , gestures , Colorful phones that were not only black and white , portrait mode , stereo microphone recording , Xenon flash , super high resolution camera sensors (41mp) , also proving that a polycarbonate phone can also feel premium without compromising durability , implementing multiple lens elements in the camera , making battery efficient software , loss less zoom , super strong image stabilization, modern looking software unlike android kitkat that looked childish and ios 5 that looked cartoonish , Zeiss optics , the list goes on.... if Windows phone never existed 70% of your phone's features won't exist including the design .
They did a lot of stuff right...the phones were definitely ahead of their time!
10 years with android, its still crap. Windows phone was far better in every metric except app counts.
all the updated using system nokia was first all
Bring windows phone back 😤
Would love that!
microsoft is just toooo slow 😞
Too slow to change for sure.
