SM is still better than other companies. Their trainees don't have to pay back for their training after their debut and they basically start to earn money right off the bat. Hi Tina! Hope you make a video about Idols & Fans interaction----like what do the companies say about idols communicating/interacting with their fans? What protocols do they give to idols during fanmeetings, concerts, music shows, in using their social media accounts, or even just when they're on their private/personal time? Do you think there's a chance that some idols would date a fan? Or like are they open to dating a fan? lol too many questions i'm sorry! i'm just really curious about all these. Much love & support to you, Tina! Thank you so much for doing this series. Highly hiiiighly appreciate this!
Under this matter, I would be interested in how they are oriented to deal with toxic or creepy "fans" (if we can call them that way). There are fans who are noisy or a bit "crazy", but they are fine and can be easily dealt with, because they usually mean no harm, but there are some that might act in very "inconvenient" ways (like trying to touch the idols, stalking them, saying "bad" things or trying to take "improper" photos). How the companies orient the idols about that and what they actively do to prevent that?
The company asking *"oh why dont you trust us?"* about the money statements is annoying. I'm like duh? Of course they had to know! They should and they can! It is not trust issues, it is business! They are all in entertainment but it is still business anyway! Companies taking that personally surely lacks professionalism and transparency. To be honest it is lawful in any country to see your payment slip, the division and all. There is no exception to their industry. Geez! To all the young ones who are aspiring to be idols here: if you could read this, make yourselves familiar on money matters, seriously study accounting and finance. You would surely need it even in any jobs. You should know it, helpful in cases like these :)
@@Doll_Facee not really, but if they assumed that an idol lacks trust for wanting to look at these statements is just so unprofessional on the company's part. They shouldn't be sentimental about it. Business is business.
SM refused to let DBSK see their division of income & expenditures for quite a while. Once they finally did let them see after their most successful year with five members, they were told they were still in debt.
If anyone feels turned off by the K-Pop industry for these things, either find comfort or be twice as angry knowing that American labels are about the same with most of these things - coming from someone who's dealt with it 🙃
contracts in the us are almost the same, one of the things you can do is get a relationship whenever you want or even sign a contract while you're on a relationship, relationships don't really affect us companies
@theos379 You are mainly right on everything except that artists here make the big bucks from their labels. They absolutely do not. They're really earning money from partnerships, commercials, sponsorships, etc. 360 deals and BEP's are just as prominent in American labels as Korean labels.
@Liza Kingg Because people will find anything to put their favorite idols on some sort of pedestal, even if the pedestal is "My idol bias is treated so much worse than your American artist". Love the K-Pop industry but there's a lot of ignorance amongst fandoms.
@Liza Kingg agreed!! and it's sad because there are tons of kpop fans who are not like that but they get this bad reputation as well because of these overdramatic fans
The contract type that you explained around 11:30 is usually called a Noncompete Clause. And now I understand why some artists just stay stagnant for a few years, then pop up out of nowhere with a new album on a new label. I feel bad that they are wasting their talent and years waiting out contracts but like you said a lawsuit is a lot.
Me too, tbh I’m kinda interesting in auditioning for jyp at some point. There are a lot of downsides to the industry but it doesn’t really discourage me a whole lot because I still really want to do it lol
lying grape Lmao I hope you try becoming an idol and seeing how hard it is and how your little 5 year old dream isn’t as bright as you think it’ll be. Good luck buddy.
I can now see how some of these kids and young adults fall into these contracts. They are no different than a mortgage, minus the out clause of not being required to pay off the remaining debt once you complete the full years of the contract (if that's 100% factual, that is). But these kids and young people are signing into contracts where they do not fully realize the long term consequences, at signing. And the smaller companies who cannot afford to maintain a legitimate calculation of artists's income & spending are without a doubt skimming off the top. I guarantee it cuz that type of setup leaves the door wide open to do so. Which means these artists are working, at times, for free. Btw thank you so much for these videos.
I'm not familiar with Korean contract law, but it seems very similar to U.S. law. In this country, minors cannot sign any type of business contract. Their parents must sign. I recall a number of potential SNSD members whose parents would not sign the SM contract.
@@MrKentaroMotoPI ...ofc minors cannot sign contracts without an adult parent or guardian (in SK). That's pretty much a given. I'm speaking of actually knowing what you're signing. There are numerous of mortgage/loan holders who do not have a clue how complex the terms within can be. They way the kpop contracts are explained in this video is nearly the same as that.
@@NONPOINT420 Signing any non-pro-forma contract, including any contact involving large personal commitment, without legal council, is completely unwise.
@@MrKentaroMotoPI ... and not all adults are wise, even parents and even a person on their 2nd mortgage/loan, especially when people are being cheap (like a buyer who doesn't inspect & appraise an investment). This is what I've seen, from the many examples I've seen in my life.
Well the music, makeup, clothing, MV, Sets, Stuff, dance instructors... everything is important, so the company will need a lot of money, if they want to pay them equaly. Also the money of the company will be invested more in the idols in form of other stuff like housing etc. SNSD for example had a hughe dorm with lots of fancy stuff, while I know from other companys, that the idols didn't even have enough chairs in their dorms for the amount of members living there.....
i don't think this youtuber did proper research. For idols, their main income out of all things they do is from world tour and the biggest amount of money they earn is from there. Sm is takes 3 and artist take 7 while other takes 5 and 5. Also, that 5% of SM is based on gross profit, while others based on net profit.
@NCT is coming for your wigs All things being equal, yes, they receive a higher percentage (SM takes 30% and the artist gets 70%). At another agency, like YG for example, the artist gets 50% and the agency takes 50% for overseas promotions. Of course, not all things are equal. You don't know if one agency is better at promoting overseas than another, so maybe if an agency pays the artist a higher percentage for overseas promotions, they may not try to book as many overseas performances as an agency that pays a smaller percentage.
It makes me so sad to know that some of my favorite artists are put through hell all for the sake of being an idol. They literally manufacture talent. I truly hope artists get more artistic freedom. I know the companies need to get their money back but allowing personality to show would do wonders for I-fans. ❤ Thank you for this amazing video and I love your content.
I want to ask about trainee life. If they're still going to school (jr - high school), are the company paying for the tuition? Or is it included in the 'debt'? Or they pay it by themselves? I've always wondered about this since Art school many idols go cost really a lot (like SOPA).
The company pays for the school or college (tutions) but will be cut from your money later that you will get from promoting songs and all after debuting
I work for one of the big three companies...what you dont understand is how much money it costs to feed and house all these trainees. ..years of dance lessons and schooling!!! Also,,if the group doesn't hit it big,,we eat all that promotion money...it goes two ways people. ...oh,,plus paying for the venue and flight to concerts...things dont just pay for themselves people

First of all, CHILL! Second of all, yes it's a business but that doesn't give you the right to slave people so that you can earn from them. If they managed to debut you make a lot of money off them anyway so you could at least act with more respect. Besides, the way you write makes me think that you're just a troll anyway. Probably an attention - seeker cause no big company employee would make the commends you make in the way you do lol.
10:42 this sounds like this is what could have happened to Pristin... Pledis hadn’t promoted them for over a year so discussions came up and majority of the girls decided to terminate their contract
If you start doing TH-cam and do what you love but still having sharing money with your company that you earned by yourself doing all the hard work is just 😑😑
This is why I like to inform myself very well before making a decision. It's a life career we are talking about. These contracts could backfire at you and you won't be able to complain because you signed a contract. So go get a lawyer and inform yourself to know what you are about to do with your life. I myself informed myself and still am before making any choices. I was going to audition online and turn it in. But I decided to inform myself more so I know what things will be like. Good luck to all. I will see if I want to continue after searching a bit more.👍
I have a couple of questions 1. if there are say 5 people in a group one has trained for 10 years one 7 years and the others 2 years, obviously they all have a different amount of debt so does the company add all the debt together and you all pay the joint debt together? If not what happens? 2. If one member gets cfs does he/she get the money for themselves or is it split between the group?
Girl she mentioned it... It really depends on the type of contract tou are given some are given completely shared others make individual. Its a really important decision since if one of the members is more popular and gets more activities and has a share. All of the money she makes will be split with the company and the other members... Its a tricky decision
나은AlondraGhoul she didn’t say about distribution between members she said about the divisions between company and the artist. Not how the artist amount is split. And she doesn’t say if all members consolidate their debt.
I know it doesn't really answer your question but I remember Secret talked about how one of their members was making all the money in the beginning through solo activities but that member was nice enough to split their money with the rest of the members. I'm sure it's different for each group but maybe that kind of gives an idea of how it works?
Wow mmmm it really depends on the company usually if you end up signing with the company like debut they might cancel the debt from the training and then start as a group all together or some might do it separately even upon contracting
soobeanie_ oh ok thanks that makes sense. Sorry to ask this and you don’t have to answer did you ever make any money that you actually received whilst you was an idol?
Back in Generation 2 of Kpop. Sm had a thirteen year contract with couple of their artists at the time. Yoona and Yuri had the ten year contracts with SM. I remember all five members of DBSK had the thirteen year contract.
I think she terminated it bcs she said it latest Grazy Grace video that she got invited to take a part in The Unit but she turned it down bcs she was in the middle of lawsuit with her company :o
Omg sm is literally scooping all the money, imagine how much each member of NCT gets, I feel so bad for them they all works so hard all the sm artists.
It's alright. Nct have units. They're money os probably split between units. Only when they promote as ALL members they will have to split between all members.
Now I wanna know for Blockberry Creative. I hope LOONA girls are okay. Their debut cost a lot too. Its too worrisome. I hope more people support them and buy their music so they pay off their debt.
At the end of the day it is the idol/K-pop "industry" for a reason. It's a business. And just like other businesses people wanna make money and sometimes the means of doing so really suck. Hopefully everybody keeps that in mind and pushes for better standards all around, especially for the young folks (older ones too, but especially the younger ones) who might be too starry-eyed to see the corporate world more for what it is. Neat insider. Kinda curious about some of the finer details, but I understand those can be protected by NDAs or might be more complex than you or somebody else feels comfortable navigating.
I saw Red Velvet i click😂. People complaining about how SM Divide the money look 95% to company and 5% to artist that's why EXO build the New SM Ent. Company. BoA build the old one. And SM has a Coex Building while other Ent. hasn't it still benefit to company,to artist and to all employees. Sooner or Later SM will build Statues of their groups and Artists and if search how much the every clothes they wearing in every music video its so expensive some of them are customized. But i wish Lee Soo Man be a CEO again cause he is better than the current CEO the cirrent CEO amd the other Directors are SUCKS like a FUCK.
Yeah they kinda do you live in the dorms if your parents are not supporting you with that kind off money so they pay for food dorms school etc and it is included in debt
At this point I feel guilty. It’s almost like WE are making them suffer. Like, look at concerts of idols dancing and all the fans just screaming like crazy not knowing how hurt and tired the idols might be.
I learned just one new thing from this, Idols can’t do private broadcasts after they signed. Ok this explained why Sakura from Izone haven’t update her channel here since she debuted. She got about exactly 200k subscribers before debut, right after debut, the number increased dramatically, now sitting at 353k subscribers, but I guess she can no longer make gaming video for us :(. She was with hkt48, they let her did it but not Korean management company lol.
Even if she wasn't prohibited to do it I doubt she would find the time for TH-cam, with promotions on both South Korea and Japan, she's is very busy right now
So like if you were to audition for a company and you want to get payed better, more fairly, and just overall better in necessities, promotion, salary, benefits, would make you more famous / or kinda like an icon, fair treatment ( better than other companies ), and isn’t too strict and would let you meet other idols in the comp. which company would be the best match for you?
if you're from a bigger company i think there's a high chance that they will give you a contract that's translated or atleast there's a translator by your side to guide you but for smaller companies i dont think so or maybe some
Through watching this, I just can't help but think of how SM just treats their artists through their contracts. And their profit distributions are like WTF IS THAT....... at least YG and JYP are fair with profits
I remember around 2010 so many article talked about 3 members of TVXQ (JYJ) wanted tor terminate the contract with SM because of the slave contract, and its too long contract.. then some artist company were investigated.. after that they had to cut the contract (probably only 7 years maximum).. sadly, JYJ who fights for the right but they were banned until now from tv music program.
Hey Tina! I'm just curious on how the company decides to split the payment between members, for example are people in more predominant positions (ie. main vocal vs sub vocal) or who are more popular paid very differently in comparison to others! Very interesting video btw
i believe they do! i read somewhere (and a long time ago) that the main vocal of this certain group (i don't even remember which group lol) was also the one doing background vocals and harmonies and stuff on their album, so he received more than the other members in that division. and vice versa i think the dancers will get more too if he helped with choreography and stuff.
all the same. obviously if you're a main vocalist or dancer, you will get more outside opportunities than other members. or if you have a great personality and some variety show wants you to host or be on it, then you get more work , thus more $, but promotions as a group, all members get the same. now if you wrote the song, etc. you get a bit more. you don't get more $ just because you're the main vocalist when it comes to group activities together.
Actually many rich kiddos are from sm. Almost half of their artist were born with a golden spoon. Deym SM. Talented, rich and beautiful creature are all on your garden. What a luck
Really interesting stuff. I was under the impression that Chrome Ent only gave Crayon Pop a small allowance until their break even point, then they split 50-50 after that. Seems like I remember one of the girls implying that it took a couple of years for them to pay back the company. 'Bar Bar Bar' was their big hit, but still it took time for the company to get back the money they had invested in training them. They would never discuss this directly with the public, of course. But, at one point, they were happy they were finally making some money and didn't have to beg the company for handouts anymore. The girls did a lot of extra work ... they didn't just sing and dance. They worked the office; they designed their own costumes; they were very involved in the day to day running of the company. Chrome was small and didn't have a lot of cash. Also, as is well known, when the group had major problems getting attention, they went out on the street and performed for free.
What is the name of the band she's been??? Your videos help us to understand how the kpop world is behind the scenes and how the kpop world works. Love you so much💜💜💜
9:49 JYPE shortened it to 3 years, unless if you are still a minor after the 3 years. YG is the most restrictive, the only one that bans driving as well as drinking alcohol and getting tattoos.
Based on the income division stats, it looks like YG is the best of the bigger labels to go to. Their contract is reasonable and you see the money you produce.
yeah BUT they dont invest so much into their artists, or lets say into SOME of their artists, like Blackpink still no full album release after 3 years? ehm.. often dressed in cheap clothes when performing....it si known YG treats boygroups and girlgroups differently , now Bigbang will come back from military around December 2019 and it will become even more obvious where all the investments will go...
I have a question! If you’re from another country and you have to go to Korea by yourself and you don’t know anyone, does the company picks you up at the airport and gives you a place since the moment you come in? I always had that q I hope you can answer it!🙂☺️
Snsd's tiffany mentioned that when she came to Korea, Taeyeon's family was kind enough to take her in during their trainee days, so I guess you have to find a place on your own until you debut when they give you a dorm, plus lots of idols have revealed having to take 2-4 hours to get to seoul from home, just for practice. So I doubt they provide a place for them.
Man... That contract that states you can't do entertainment/work for another entertainment company after termination... Is that even legal? That's soooo unfair! How are you supposed to earn money and live if entertainment is what you've done most of your life and your training didn't allow you to get a degree? Some companies are like parasites.
A breakeven point with these rates are crazy. Even my old company, even if they invest in me (like partially pay for my mba), do not ask me to pay it back unless I leave the company right away. Meanwhile SM, on top of it, they take up to 95% of the take?
i don't think this youtuber did proper research. For idols, their main income out of all things they do is from world tour and the biggest amount of money they earn is from there. @Rhap Sody and again, i don't know where did you get info that exo even has debt when there is freaking member who just spends 20000 dollars just for halloween costume
thats why twice members are rich that tzuyu even bought an iphone x for jeongyeon i wouldnt be surprise if twice is richer than redvelvet who debut before them
@ Lmao what?? The commenter never said anything rude about Red Velvet, they're just mentioning about how Twice gets more income than RV bc of their income division set up by their respective companies.
Not really, you see as the percentage the artist gets then has to be divided by the number of members. So even though JYP gives more money to their artists, if we compare we would find that Red Velvet earns more than Twice considering they have more members.
1 Question. I really wanna be a kpop idol but i do videos sometimes. What if the person who is auditioning already has a youtube channel before signing a contract or whatsoever. Will they delete the channel or just figure out how the channel earns?
I'm new too, but as much as I have learnt she is an ex-idol, active around 2013-2015 in a group called "Blady"(I guess?) And if I'm not wrong, her name is Tina
Why is everyone acting like SM's album income division is the whole income division ? They pay better in overseas promotion than the other 2 and about the same in events. Basically if the artists promote and do concerts they're good and the company is forced to produce albums.
Girl TVXQ makes 3x more than bts and PSY *TOGETHER* 😂😂😂 plus SM has EXO who also makes more than bts *and* PSY, than they have SHINee and SuJu who make as much as bts *and* PSY, than they have all these female groups and solo artist + SM C&C (and other subsidiaries) with most famous entertainers and actors + SM produces their own reality and TV shows, dramas and films, than restaurants, hotels hell even water YES SM sells water 😑..... and etc.... @@jonaviepulido3492 lol they were in deficit in the first half of 2017, company which worth is 570B doesn't even feel deficit of 4B won. Btw deficit for *any* company is totally normal thing, especially when company is stabile and can cover the loss. At the end of the year it was SM who earned the kist and had successful year. Don't worry 😊
@A$AP girl, you are the one who needs to fuckin calm down. First of all, I didn't even say anything about the groups under SM, I just said the company was in deficit last year which was the truth. The funniest thing about this is that I didn't even talk about BTS and here you are being so triggered. I don't have to write an essay about their financial status because even Hyundai Research Institute can speak on their behalf, but if you want, here we go. In 2017, Big Hit ranked fourth among the entertainment companies in Korea in terms of total revenue meaning their total sales, however, since Big Hit is a small company which only houses BTS and Lee Hyun and with over a hundred of employees, their expenses were lesser than JYP, SM and YG, hence, they earned the most profit (total revenue minus expenses, their ROI). According to HRI, 1B USD of SK's imported products last 2017 were mostly BTS-related products. Her sold about 1.7M copies and YNWA sold about 8k, but with their appearances in several TV shows in the US and their digital sales and steams in iTunes, Apple and Spotify, boosted their sales as they pay more than Melon and other streaming sites in SK. Their Japanese single CrystalSnow/DNA/Mic Drop was also a big hit. In 2018, BTS started the year with both DNA and MDR getting their gold RIAA (500k sps), they released Face Yourself, the best selling Japanese album by a Korean act this year, they released Tear and Answer both garnered 1.8M and 2.2M physical copies in SK, both are gold in Japan and Answer is gold in RIAA, as of writing, both albums are in Amazon's Best Sellers for Vinyl, Albums. BTS is the most streamed Korean act in Apple and Spotify, and have the highest digital points in Gaon this year. Just this year alone, BTS sold over 5M albums if you include the 2018 sales of their previous albums, even their debut album is still in top 50 of Gaon monthly chart 😂 They appeared on Billboard and TIME magazine covers, they went to a lot of TV shows in the US and London, and their LY World Tour already sold over a million tickets. Their merch are sold out, too. They have so many CF deals from Puma to Coke to LG to Hyundai Palisade, and BT21 is a big hit, too, and earned their owns CFs, tho Line owns them, I'm pretty sure BH has a percentage from their earnings as they own the trademark BTS which was used to promote their plushie versions. It's really weird when people compare BH and SM because BH basically have BTS at the forefront while SM have a lot of artists from idols to actors, they also have a lot of subsidiary companies, yet they have a smaller profit. Which brings me to another dimwit who replied to me who said deficit doesn't mean anything. If you are a businessman, deficit is everything. After investing millions on their artists, I don't think SM would want to have more losses than profit, although their loss is only 4M USD, it's still money. You think SM doesn't know that? Then why in hell is SM Town selling albums from other groups like BTS, Wanna One and Twice Who are also monsters in physical sales? Lastly, because you are so triggered with BTS, why do you think they pushed NCT and even Exo to make to the Billboard charts and ultimately the US? Do you think the company doesn't know how much $$$ they get from there? Just think of this, Exo already released more 20 albums including the repacked and different versions of their albums, but why do western artists who only release less than 10 albums in the span of ten years is far more richer than those artists in Korea which comebacks twice a year? Those people doesn't even sell much physical albums. Their audience is wider, their strengths are their digitals, they get to be paid more by their labels. And since you are hell bent in comparing BTS with SM, yes, SM earns more than BTS. It's not even technically correct tk compare both. SM is a company with many artists while BTS is just one group from a company which only have two artists. SM≠BTS. BH profited more from BTS more than SM profited from their different business ventures. As for individual share, BTS members has an est. net worth of $8M each except for the rapline (around $9m) who wrote most of their songs, while it is not confirmed, BTS members have live a comfortable life since 2016 but now, the members are already buying their own apartments while still living in their dorm, their personal wardrobe is mostly from high end brands, and even J-Hope's watch is more expensive than the SUV they are advertising. Idk how they cut their income between the company and the artists, but I'm pretty sure they living well and being paid well. But if you want to be petty, please compare them some more and I will be here, chillin. And babe, don't even try to talk about business with an Economics teacher. For more lessons, please drag yourself more.

Jung uWu it all depends on the income division of the other division the other division are probably greater to even it out
I also put the sources I got the information from on the description box
they're actually worth about the same. tht money doesn't just go into some random person's pockets, it goes back into the company. which why they are able to do cool projects like sm station, they also pay their employees the most compared to other companies( their employees also have really good benefits) . along with housing, clothing, vacations etc. and investing into trainees. while i do believe the artists deserve a higher percentage, that 5% is only pertaining to physical sales.

Yes, hoping she will do this.
Does that mean the business is one fraud ? Since the trainees do have rights to see where their money is going.
@@Doll_Facee not really, but if they assumed that an idol lacks trust for wanting to look at these statements is just so unprofessional on the company's part. They shouldn't be sentimental about it. Business is business.
this was the B.A.P situation until it was too late.
SM refused to let DBSK see their division of income & expenditures for quite a while. Once they finally did let them see after their most successful year with five members, they were told they were still in debt.
Thanks 💜💜💜😙
If anyone feels turned off by the K-Pop industry for these things, either find comfort or be twice as angry knowing that American labels are about the same with most of these things - coming from someone who's dealt with it 🙃
contracts in the us are almost the same, one of the things you can do is get a relationship whenever you want or even sign a contract while you're on a relationship, relationships don't really affect us companies
@@antonio.unreal Very true, US companies actually encourage dating so they can create publicity stunts out of relationships.

Sooooo very trueeeee
@@NONPOINT420 Signing any non-pro-forma contract, including any contact involving large personal commitment, without legal council, is completely unwise.

i can't believe sm takes 95% wtf, honestly yg and jyp are the best companies
Yeah, but they only take 30% on overseas promotions, so if the group does a lot of overseas concerts, it's better for the artists.
Ron Gee so does SM take 70% for overseas promotion or is that just in general?

I want to ask about trainee life. If they're still going to school (jr - high school), are the company paying for the tuition? Or is it included in the 'debt'? Or they pay it by themselves? I've always wondered about this since Art school many idols go cost really a lot (like SOPA).
Jona J Same thoughts
The company pays for the school or college (tutions) but will be cut from your money later that you will get from promoting songs and all after debuting

First of all, CHILL! Second of all, yes it's a business but that doesn't give you the right to slave people so that you can earn from them. If they managed to debut you make a lot of money off them anyway so you could at least act with more respect. Besides, the way you write makes me think that you're just a troll anyway. I will see if I want to continue after searching a bit more.👍
Did u make ur decision
I have a couple of questions
1. if there are say 5 people in a group one has trained for 10 years one 7 years and the others 2 years, obviously they all have a different amount of debt so does the company add all the debt together and you all pay the joint debt together?

Do they give foreign trainees contracts in other languages?
Probably not.
Some do.
if you're from a bigger company i think there's a high chance that they will give you a contract that's translated or atleast there's a translator by your side to guide you but for smaller companies i dont think so or maybe some
Through watching this, I just can't help but think of how SM just treats their artists through their contracts.

Very interesting video btw
i believe they do! i read somewhere (and a long time ago) that the main vocal of this certain group (i don't even remember which group lol) was also the one doing background vocals and harmonies and stuff on their album, so he received more than the other members in that division. and vice versa i think the dancers will get more too if he helped with choreography and stuff.
all the same. obviously if you're a main vocalist or dancer, you will get more outside opportunities than other members. or if you have a great personality and some variety show wants you to host or be on it, then you get more work , thus more $, but promotions as a group, all members get the same. now if you wrote the song, etc. you get a bit more. you don't get more $ just because you're the main vocalist when it comes to group activities together.

do Leaders of Kpop groups get paid for being a leader? (outside of the income division between members)
The companies can play "hide the profits" which entails doctoring the books, obviously in favor of the CEOs.
SM that why some members in Tvxq left

I have one question, if the person wants to end the contract for health issues or personal reasons, do they have to pay de dept or not?
Based on the income division stats, it looks like YG is the best of the bigger labels to go to. Their contract is reasonable and you see the money you produce.
yeah BUT they dont invest so much into their artists, or lets say into SOME of their artists, like Blackpink still no full album release after 3 years? ehm.. often dressed in cheap clothes when performing....it si known YG treats boygroups and girlgroups differently , now Bigbang will come back from military around December 2019 and it will become even more obvious where all the investments will go...
you kind of look like jisoo, so cutee
so the reason why sm is not promoting rv in the us or overseas is because rv would be richer than sm
I have a question! If you’re from another country and you have to go to Korea by yourself and you don’t know anyone, does the company picks you up at the airport and gives you a place since the moment you come in? I always had that q I hope you can answer it!🙂☺️
It depends on the company but most I would say they would want you to find it yourself.

Some companies are like parasites.

thats why twice members are rich that tzuyu even bought an iphone x for jeongyeon
i wouldnt be surprise if twice is richer than redvelvet who debut before them
She did not but jeongyeon an iphone x it's just the packaging hahah. She actually bought her a phone accessory thats quiet expensive to though
@@chynna7535 ohhh really ?i thought it was an iphone all the time😂
Ratna Fatimah She isn’t saying something bad is literally a fact that SM artists get less than YG and JYP artist
@ Lmao what?? The commenter never said anything rude about Red Velvet, they're just mentioning about how Twice gets more income than RV bc of their income division set up by their respective companies.
Not really, you see as the percentage the artist gets then has to be divided by the number of members. So even though JYP gives more money to their artists, if we compare we would find that Red Velvet earns more than Twice considering they have more members.
my friend was asked to be an idol bc she so f pretty and good at dancing but she didn’t want to do it for a job only as A HOBBY I’m happy tbh :)
My friend: do you know Tina?
Me: who is Tina?
My friend: *shows Tina’s picture*
Me: umm... are you sure that’s not jisoo?
YAY!!! I was looking forward to a new Episode of idol insider hehe❤️✨ thank you for sharing!!!!
No problemo~ 😉
1 Question. I really wanna be a kpop idol but i do videos sometimes.
What if the person who is auditioning already has a youtube channel before signing a contract or whatsoever. Will they delete the channel or just figure out how the channel earns?
wendy had to delete it
They have to delete it
Loved these video series
DAMN YG is playing it right!!!
Ikr. His idols are already one of the richest in korea.
too bad they like to ruin their main vocalists’s voices .. :/ if it wasn’t for that they’d be the perfect company
@@areyoukirringmeirriyaa true tho
but they treat female idols pretty terribly, have one comeback a year, and have a ‘dungeon’
Am I the only one who thinks she looks kinda like jisoo :)
Holyy... I’m early
Gabi Saravi early bird gang gang 🙌
You guys can hear the song "Untitled Song" by JYJ to get more details, lol :)))
I'm new to your channel !! are you an idol youself? xx
I'm new too, but as much as I have learnt she is an ex-idol, active around 2013-2015 in a group called "Blady"(I guess?)
And if I'm not wrong, her name is Tina
@@suchismithakn Yes
7:12 JYPE is the only one that doesn't have that clause for trainees that leave early.
Your voice is so cute♥♥
Gotta go to work but I've been waiting for this!!
Hi~ thanks for watching~~^^
I two questions
1)how do I get a lawer
2)and if I don't who can I ask to translate it for me?
kihyo grape
1) you find and hire one yourself
2) you ask a Korean person of your choice to translate it for you.
Obviously
Why is everyone acting like SM's album income division is the whole income division ? They pay better in overseas promotion than the other 2 and about the same in events. Basically if the artists promote and do concerts they're good and the company is forced to produce albums.
So if psy and bts (after their all achievements) were working with SM????
Sooman would rebuild SM company with golden walls... (sm artists include)
Girl TVXQ makes 3x more than bts and PSY *TOGETHER* 😂😂😂 plus SM has EXO who also makes more than bts *and* PSY, than they have SHINee and SuJu who make as much as bts *and* PSY, than they have all these female groups and solo artist + SM C&C (and other subsidiaries) with most famous entertainers and actors + SM produces their own reality and TV shows, dramas and films, than restaurants, hotels hell even water YES SM sells water 😑..... and etc.... With Growl SM literally brought new building 😂😂😂
😧😧😧😊😊😊
SM had a deficit last year. 😉
@@eri6984 Poor TVXQ they have most of their money devoured by greedy sm!! Stop defending the dirty company!! Look how freaking rich are JYJ despite the sm blacklist all these years!!
If we don't debut do we have to pay back the money they spent on us as a trainee ????
