      Firstly really enjoyed this video regardless, don't be ashamed of your old work man
      Secondly, have you ever played any of the Fossil Fighters games? Because I feel like you would enjoy them (for the most part) and would definitely like to see a retrospective for them (both because I'm curious about your take on them, secondly I just love hearing you talk about Dinosaurs)

      You mean, you had an audience that listened to , sorry and no offence, a small child raging about games that are EASY AF, ignores contend and lore (yes i talk AvP vid here, Predators are basicaly WHY we know about Xenomorph in the first place, and the xeno homeworld was ONLY discovered because you basicaly hacked into pred tech in AvP (wich leads to alien ressurection and consequently the destruction of earth, as you can expect : They had NO CHANZE to combat either Empress) IF at all, you could ignore any prometheus title with this, their NOT and i repeat NOT a part of the main lore AT ALL, and ridley scot did accept predators and the origin stuff etc. from AvP, sooo prom never happened (stupid multiverse stuff these day's... change EVERYTHING and FUCK UP WHOLE FRANCHISES! (Yea SW i look at you, among ST that is!)
      I would actualy suggest you redo those vids and make a playlist with "old" and right after "new" version of them. And this time please dont forget to add Genesis in your JP one. Not like it was, prior to Evolution being MASSIVLY patched (basicaly still only with mods that is), the best JP park builder ever.

    Grant has a launcher in the first game because in the book Muldoon had launchers to stop the T-rex, and the eggs are there too because they had to count all the eggs in the books.

    • @TheDalisama
      @TheDalisama 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ocean's only direction were promo shots. They based their design and story off the book and those posters. One of them was of Grant holding the shotgun, so they guessed there would be more guns used in the movie. Most of the objectives in the SNES game are from the book, like destroying the nest. I also liked how the raptor paddock looked like the movie version from the outside, but had the observation windows from the book when you went in it.
      There were compies in the book, so that's why there were in the game. Also, Ocean's soundtracks for these games were great.

    Jurassic Park Rampage Edition on the genesis is the best Jurassic Park game best gameplay so much better than the 1st Jurassic Park game on genesis and the music is awesome as hell surprised it wasn't mentioned but it is an EXTREMELY underrated game so I assumed it wouldn't be in the video

      I hate Rampage Edition. Feels like Contra with a Jurassic Park coat of paint.

    • @Goblin_Hands
      @Goblin_Hands 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Both Genesis games are great imo. The Rampage Edition had a few levels that certainly dragged on and on...and on...and on...and on. Easy to get lost or think there's no end because each level tends to loop itself. Cargo Ship was badass though, including the OST. Only 5 stages is an overall downgrade imo, but the battle with Rex was intense.

    First one seems to be based on the book which was written pretty much right before the movie rather than the game. The roof of the building and the baby raptors and stuff are reminiscent to end of the book and Muldoon had a rocket launcher in the book which is likely where Grant's "cannon" here comes from. I would not be surprised if the game designers were working off the finished book while the movie with the reworked story was still in production, especially at the time it came out.

    The Sega Genesis game was the original survival horror. In fact, it worked better than many modern games in that regard since the weapons (tranquilizer darts etc.) were effective only for a short time meaning you always wanted to both save ammo and move quickly before the dinos woke up. I'd love to see a modern Jurrassic park game with Resident Evil style controls but Jurassic Park for Genesis style weapons.
