I played this game back around when it came out, it wasn't nearly this buggy. It worked fine back then for me. I think the nerd doesn't actually have the right hardware for this game. Physics, especially back then, are typically reliant on frame rates, and if you notice from the footage he has an especially bad frame rate, which I didn't experience while playing it. Having a slower cpu speed then is intended can fuck up the physics. In dark souls 2 people used to use video footage capturing software, capturing at a very high resolution and frame rate to slow the frame rate of the game in order to change the physics which allowed them to jump over things not normally possible.
@@shmekelfreckles8157 All physics worked that way until recently, and sometimes still do. In oblivion on my shitty old pc I used when it came out the physics were extremly deadly to me, I would die instantly from running over some bones, now playing it on a much more powerful pc then it was intended for there is no problem.
Seamus seems like a really chill dude, and it appears that he's taken the deservedly poor reception and commercial failure of his game in stride. The failure of _Tresspasser_ obviously didn't affect him too deeply, as he went on to conceptualize the console that catapulted Microsoft to the apex of the console market.
@@TheRealJawnz I would definitely disagree. Even if you argue that his videos aren't as funny as they were, it's still top notch compared to the "content" that is uploaded on this platform on a daily basis.
I got this game for my birthday when I was a kid or in my early teens. I totally loved it and didn't realize this was an unfinished buggy game. I always tried to make progress again after I had dropped it for a while, but it was hard to get far. However, I never truly disliked the game. Ah, and I was really afraid of the hostile dinosaurs for a long time. Not anymore. When I last played it, I was surprised how unscary I found them and how easily I was able to outmaneouver and kill them.
It's times like these that I get a little depressed that I'm old enough to remember when pretty much all 3D games on PC were running like that. Hell, I spent most of my childhood playing games on a 480p monitor and I was really happy if I could get 20 frames per second in a game. Now I am playing on a 1080p monitor, and it feels weird and choppy when frame rates go under 60...
For any curious, this game is considered abandonware, and it runs really smoothly on a virtual box. Whether you should play it, that's for you to decide.
@jerenjagodzinski9651 it means the developers abandoned it and you can usually only get it through 3rd party downloads or buying the disc off somebody

Gabe Newell used this game as the basis for Half-Life 2's physics engine, as it was the only other game at the time he could draw upon.
@@TheZombieCurryKid in case of Dark Souls it's just the engine's problem.
I'd watch Slightly Irritated Video Game Geek if you turned it into a series tbh
I'd even go as far as to watch "Stoked Video Game Nerd," who reviews good games, lol.
The stoned and confused virtual reality dork
nah, we need a new creator to do that as a spoof series in association with james.
I've always called AVGN the Gordon Ramsay of gaming, thanks for confirming I was correct.
For real tho 😂
Surely that's one for the deathbattle guys at Screwattack, lol. Ramsay vs AVGN.
It's amazing that even after 15 Years, James Rolfe & Cinemassacre continues to be top-notch internet content.
This is terrible
And SMG4 cant even keep their essence for 5 years
@@TheRealJawnz I would definitely disagree. Even if you argue that his videos aren't as funny as they were, it's still top notch compared to the "content" that is uploaded on this platform on a daily basis.

@@TheRealJawnz I respect your opinion, however in a sea of diarrhea that solid log would look so so good.

It's like larping when people have to call out their hit points remaining. lol
When it gets to 1 it unleashes a devastating attack... if it can stay on the ledge long enough.
I only got to play this game on my cousins computer back in the day but I remember that I constantly looked behind my back, checking for the raptors.
Damn I wish you asked him "What were you thinking?!"
he already cashed in that question for fred fuchs
He basically covered that himself
James Rolfe as Gordon Ramsay is something I didn't expect to see in my life
But aren't you glad you got to witness it 😄
I'm not saying I'm not glad but I'm not saying I'm glad
Not surprisingly, James is actually Gordon’s love child.
Super happy he didn't try to do the accent, that woulda been horrible.

Trespasser needs a modern remake. Could have been awesome. And nowadays there’s barely any Dino games
well guess what they are making another jurrasic park game.

@@thegamesresearcher I don't think it got very far. Been following Trespasser on and off since its release.
Oh, totally! :)
The patched version runs pretty well on modern computers. The machine he used for the video was underpowered even back in 98. Nobody games on a Dell.
Of course
"Who counts bullets while being attacked?"
Deadpool
The robots from Aqua Teen Hunger Force.
True
There's a reason he did that, he was low on ammo at the time.
"Worth it."
Deadpool is not getting attacked, he is attacking. So yea...
This episode, man, this was cool. Actually getting to hear the producer's explanations and thoughts about the game and the community is great.
"Who counts out loud how many bullets they have left?"
Deadpool

Dirty Harry couldn’t remember how many bullets he had left. Shoulda counted em’ off.................punk.
Was going to point that out, until I read your comment

was gonna say soldiers when you're in need of resup
the framerate of the game has permanently damaged my eyesight
It's times like these that I get a little depressed that I'm old enough to remember when pretty much all 3D games on PC were running like that. Hell, I spent most of my childhood playing games on a 480p monitor and I was really happy if I could get 20 frames per second in a game. Now I am playing on a 1080p monitor, and it feels weird and choppy when frame rates go under 60...
That horrific frame rate gave me headache.
LMAO
Gábor Horváth mech warrior 2 mercenaries ran at like 15 FPS I think and that’s all it was
For any curious, this game is considered abandonware, and it runs really smoothly on a virtual box. Whether you should play it, that's for you to decide.
What’s abandonware?
Wait Virtual Box has Windows 98? I thought Windows 98 was extinct.
@jerenjagodzinski9651 it means the developers abandoned it and you can usually only get it through 3rd party downloads or buying the disc off somebody
6:23 I think the devs did the impossible here: They found an excuse to make the main character have big boobs that's actually worse than "sex sells."
