They make loads of sizes in the Darcy leather when it’s in stock if that size doesn’t work for you! Personal is a tricky size to shop for if you’re not using rings; I could only find the inserts from Etsy sellers. Though, I recently figured out that you can put a Hobonichi Weeks in a personal size TN (and mine lives in that Darcy now)! It’s right between large and small if you like a very narrow notebook.

After your Chic Sparrow unboxing vid I went to their website and came to the conclusion that the covers (gorgeous though they were) cost more than I'd be willing to pay. After this tour of all the prettty options, I'm thinking I may try to invest in a cover someday, as my "forever" journal. The personal size looked really great, and I love those more rustic leathers! Looks like I'd be totally interested in the ones you'd be likely to resell, however I'm not on Instagram. Might just have to join a FB buy/sell/trade group when I'm ready to upgrade...
Just realized: I have some leather in my fabric stash, and there's a leather store in town that has pieces for much less than a Chic Sparrow cover costs. If I really wanted to get ambitious, perhaps I could make my own cover...it would be an adventure, for sure!

Ahh thank you! Me too -- green is my favorite color. I've been gravitating more towards the neutrals like brown these days for my Chic Sparrow covers, but it is fun to be able to switch to something colorful when I'm in the mood for it.

I am one of those that loves them, loves smell and feel of them but hard time deciding what to use them for and putting pen to paper. I don’t journal or ink sample. Wanted to use as a planner, but not consistent using a planner.🤪😫🤣
My favorite A6 is the Nanami Cafe Note but those are hard to come by with the scarcity of Tomoe River Paper - hoping the new Sanzen ones are good once those are ready. There’s also A6 Stalogy, Hobonichi, and MD Notebook! TH-cam can be really good for ideas of what to do in notebooks/planners! I get that not-consistent planner use feeling. Maybe an undated planner? I have one I filled up that took like 4 years because I just took breaks when I didn’t need to plan a ton.

Chic Sparrow is so popular and seems like fantastic quality! I wonder if there are other shops out there that are a little cheaper? I have a beautiful TN from Meadowgate Leather that wasn't quite as pricey, but wonderful quality, for example. What about other shops?
The other brands I have experience with are Traveler’s Company (which are a tighter fit and don’t have pockets or stitching so they’re less expensive but Baum-Kuchen will add those on for a price if you decide you want them later) and Webster’s Pages (which are vegan leather, are less expensive, have plenty of pockets and come in loads of colors and patterns but do not age as well as leather ones).
There are MANY smaller brands out there that do the same quality work at a better price. I have nothing but second hand Chic Sparrow because they are much too expensive for what they do IMHO and I refuse to pay money of that caliber blindly. I see too many people open their Chic Sparrow packages like,"Oh, well...yea. I'm sure It'll grow on me." 😳😬 Haha, no ma'am. Not for me. Here are some shops I have used that are excellent in both cost and craftsmanship: * Little Mountain Bindery: They offer a few different patterns but they are big on the tri-folds. I got a personalized grey one for a birthday gift that I absolutely LOVE. Great customer service, excellent prices, a variety of leathers to choose from. They offer extras at reasonable rates that I happily jumped on: charms, customizations, etc. * Joyful Paw Prints (Etsy): Andrea is AMAZING and so damn talented. If you are a fan of CS Waypoint and Maverick lines she uses the same hides at a fairer price for her craftswomanship. She even sent me pics of options from the hide for me to choose from! Not to mention, she customized my Pocket size to fit my A6 Leuchtturm. I can't say enough good things about this shop. * whpdesign (Etsy): if you like cool colors and textures, this is your guy. The customer service is top notch and the shipping is quite fast. They also do custom work! * LeRight (Etsy): Seaweed Kisses recommends this shop and I'm seriously thinking about it. Their prices are comparable to CS, BUT they are a small business that allows you to a'la cart your customizations as you see fit. They offer very similar CS leathers and at varied colors and textures to boot. Please support many small businesses. Remember, CS leathers aren't proprietary and there are folks out there that offer the same leathers with excellent customer service. There is more out there than the "holy trinity" of leather notebook makers out there that aren't gouging you with their rates.
Beautiful Collection! The Derby reminds me of Claire. I tried to get a Derby during the sale, but it was all sold out. I have about half of the leathers you have. ( The only newer ones I purchased in the last few months are Spencer and Hayez) I have a lot of retired leathers and have recently sold some of mine because I have so many CS. I loved your Chic Sparrow collection videos. You have so many Outlanders! I'm a bit jealous -- I missed that boat and the collection is totally up my alley! I did end up snagging an Outlander Claire (pocket deluxe) in a buy sell trade group and I love it, but I think Derby is still my favorite. I hope you're able to find one someday!

Yeah, the older B6 slim (sometimes called the cafe note size) folio design she did was without the outside string but I like having a closure so most of the ones I have do include that. It is removable, so if I didn’t want it, I could take it out and there would just be a small hole in the binding. I believe she’s working on a new design with a snap closure for this year if you prefer that!
They had been watching my main TH-cam channel for years and reached out asking if I wanted some to use in videos and social posts. I’m not sure if they still have plans to do that anymore, but it wasn’t something you could apply for or anything like that.
