I started journaling with A5 hardcover journals (LT1917) and sitll have a stash of both regular and 120gsm tucked away. I need paper that can handle fountain pens without bleedthrough. Minimal to moderate ghosting is okay. I have a reading journaling setup for journaling on the go. It holds my Kindle Paperwhite and a B6 hc journal (Conifer View w/5mm dot grid). The passport size is cute, but would fill up so fast, I suspect, so B6 slim is something I may have to give a go.

I am currently using the cafe note A6 with my folio since I've seen you use the same combo. I am enjoying the paper for my fountain pen a lot! I tend to gravitate to Leuchturm (I really love my 120 GSM Special Edition one) because they come in so many colors and paper options. I have my D&D notebook in a Galen Leather Zip folio and it's my favorite! I feel like the zip adds an extra bit of protection when it's tossed in my backpack.

I use an A6 Hobonichi Techo (that’s currently in your A6 cover, as a matter of fact - I love it lots!) and an A5 5 Year Hobonichi with a blue Lewis cover from Chic Sparrow as my main journals. My reading journal is in a B6 Stalogy with a deringed black Filofax Personal Malden as its cover. Going to use a B6 Common Planner from Sterling Ink as my work planner/professional notebook for 2023. Guess who placed an order for your cover in B6 just a few hours ago?! 😉 I don‘t know yet if it will hold the Common Planner or my reading journal, but I‘m going to get a good use out of it for sure! 💙 Edit: Oh yeah, the Hobonichi notebook is exactly the size of one Avec notebook. The full year has about double the amount of pages.
Ooh, that lineup sounds amazing! I love that Sterling Ink made their own planner - I love their stickers. Thank you for the info on the various Hobonichi thicknesses too! That’s kind of what I assumed from seeing photos but I’m regularly surprised by the sizes of things when they arrive in person, heh.
I love A5 for planners and journals, but I have "all the sizes" because I have multiple journals for different purposes, so I have passport size for portability, and I mostly use those for "notes on the go"--more of a commonplace notebook that gets tossed once the information has been transferred to my "for keeps" journals. I have large handwriting, so A5 is a necessity. I do love trying out different papers and journaling styles, so that's why I have so many notebooks (and covers)!
Aww yes, I’m sorry! They were a limited edition. I’ve seen a few pop up on the Facebook chic sparrow buy sell trade groups though! You might be able to find a used one there. 💕

They do make lots of other lovely A5 journal covers if you end up wanting one of their own designs instead. That's super similar to my approach! They're all great for different purposes or even different moods. I love having a whole bunch to choose from!
