Such good points from Andy. The Bay Area is easily a 2 team market. The East Bay is it's own thing and the A's could draw. Fisher just wants to do the least amount possible while increasing his asset's value. Unfortunately, Manfred is complicit.

I live in clark county, NV where the A's have said they're moving. Last news report I saw here was a clark county commissioner saying on the news that they've received NO proposals from fisher. He said that the commission should have received the proposal for $500 million TAX CREDIT last week. They're getting as frustrated with the fisher do nothing way of operating as anyone who's ever done business with him. Fisher's about to blow it here too. I did some research into his other business dealings and he has pretty much run all of them into the ground. If he sold right now, he could make 10+ times profit he invested. Just sell, fisher. If vegas is in the cards for the A's, let someone who loves baseball move them with all good intent that goes with that love. That being said, I imagine that the best for everyone is for the A's stay in Oakland where they have the most loyal fans in the world right there. If I were still living there, I'd be boycotting fisher too, even though I love the players. Casinos bought up Raiders tix here to give to their visiting patrons. The black hole is not as it was in oakland. The fans are tourists coming to see their home teams that are playing the raiders. There is no "home crowd" even though there are a lot of raider fans who live here. It's sad that both my teams are here, headed here, only for the money. If Fisher had kept the coliseum maintained, as previous owners, it wouldn't be the dump it is. He's the only reason people don't go to A's games. Just sell, fisher.

Even if Vegas fails and the owner is forced to sell, the outcome stays the same... A's are leaving Oakland...
Stadium problem is just a facade, MLB want to funnel the Bay Area market to the Giants, and moving the A's to a brand new, currently empty market...
Personally I prefer Sacramento though, the River Cats stadium have a parking lot that can be built for another stadium, then ask Giants to move River Cats somewhere, maybe to Oakland or Fremont... But if Vegas is gonna be done, then qué sera sera...

Andy Dolich speaks and knows the truth. I saw my first A's game in 1971 and have attended at least 5 games every season since, sometimes more. I was even a season ticket holder. The past two seasons I have absolutely refused to set foot in that ballpark and spend one cent on John Fisher's debacle. The A's had the colossal nerve to raise ticket prices last season while fielding a team that was more suited to play in Triple A. Fisher NEVER attends games and uses Dave Kaval as his mouthpiece. There is ZERO promotion of the team and they have done everything they can to alienate long-time fans and traditional season ticket holders. What Fisher and Kaval have done to this franchise is reprehensible.

Andy Dolich was part of an ownership group which included Reggie Jackson that was 100% committed to staying in Oakland and rebuilding the A’s into a quality organization. That group was pushed to the curb by Bud Selig who favored the sale of the A’s from Steve Schott to a group including Lew Wolff and John Fisher. Wolff was a college buddy of Selig’s. And then Selig stabbed his buddy in the back when he torpedoed Wolff’s desire to build a new A’s ballpark in San Jose. So there is decades long collusion involving the MLB Commissioner and cheap money-grubbing owners to milk the A’s and its fans of money and loyalty.

Like it or not, those rights were granted, if they had worked out some sort of a deal for SJ great. Imagine the reaction of Fisher and Kaval realizing that they have NO LEVERAGE at all in Vegas and maybe the powers that be tell Fisher that no public monies are available. @@theRealJustMe so they will continue to be the worst attendance team in MLB? How do you explain the triple A Las Vegas team out drawing a MLB team? I guess the odd part is why is MLB behind putting a team in Las Vegas? so many experts with excuses why the A's have never had a good attendance record ... when they are going deep into the playoffs they were still #19 in attendance with the coliseum was in good shape....

Fisher got the Raiders to move because he wouldn't work with MD, MD would be in Oakland now if he had agreed to work on the Coli site and move out for a few years. He said no and thus forced MD's hand. This has all been explained over and over again by many in the Raiders organization including the retired Amy Trask. But, hey you do you and believe what you want to believe instead of facts.
